Ena is a pretty unique type of person in peoples eyes/ She is seen as small althought for her height she is surprisingly not all tiny and helpless looking. Over the years she built up a string shape for herself. She tended to exercise a lot she didn't have such a small frame. She hates to be small looking. She stands at 5'4 which is around average height in some areas. So she isn't all that short at all. She has a tan complexion to her skin and her hair is a red color. In the darkness it is dark red like blood and in the light it looks brighter and lighter. Her eyes are a dull orange-ish red color. She couldn't say which one it really was, but its in between. Normally she is wearing darker clothing which is mainly a dark green outfit since she loves it so much. Her face is naturally hard looking and she does it to keep people away from her. She isn't a fragile daisy so you need to back off and chill before she hurts someone because of that.

5'4

104lbs

Bright Red

Family:
Majority of Ena's family is dead. She doesn't ever really like to talk about it due to it being something hard for her to come to part with. Both her grandmother and youngest sister are still currently alive at the moment. She has a very close relationship with her grandmother, she was the one to actually raise Ena.
Their bond is the most strong, she would do anything for her grand mother to make sure that she is safe and healthy. With her sister its different. Her sister is still basically a baby in her eyes. She whines and complains so majority of the time she avoids her sister to not cause any problems knowing how she is with her sister.
Personality:
Bitter, Cold, Loyal, Trustworthy, Hotheaded, Odd, Distant
Ena is a very odd type of person. Most people think that because she is so tiny she has to have a nice personality. Ha, too bad she doesn't at all. She isn't afraid t tell someone how she feeling about certain things period. She is rather blunt majority fo the time. I mean come on, you aren't going to grow to with people not telling you the truth with things at all. People don't ever learn when they don't know what is really the likely hood with things. So she uses the honor and tells that person what it really is. Most people think that she is a bitch but she could honestly care less about that. She is who she is and there isn't anything from stopping her from being who she really is at all. If you try and her clip her wings she will most likely try harm you in some other type of may. Mentally or physically.
On the plus side there are a few things that she is actually proud of herself for. Naturally she is very headstrong. She knows what she wants and plans to get it at whatever the cost is. Ena is the type of person that when she gets determines there is no going back in it no matter what. She doesn't ever actually like to. If anything she really does what she wants. She wont say that it is always a good thing since she does make mistakes with things. But out of all the flaws she had he does have a somewhat good side to her. She is a very loyal person, meaning that she wont mind sticking up for you when she need it. There are rare times were you will actually see her smiling, but when she does have a friends she smiles a bit more. Ena doesn't like to show her emotions and out of all things she will not unless you make her angry. Since she is a hotheaded type of person, that is pretty easy for someone to actually do. But cha gotta keep ya head up!

Image
History:
As a child she s very active. She always got out and was up to something by herself. She didn't really have many people to actually talk to since she grew up in a very small and secluded town. But even then she lived near edge of the town s her family wouldn't have to really worry about anything at all when it came to their daughter. But even then people called her the demon child. She never really knew why but now she could honestly guess why some people would all her that. In that small things fire was a very common thing, especially when she lived in a dry forest. Fires tended to be very easy to come across theses days. Not many people even knew her and nor did she actually know them at all. One day while she was younger she caught the house on fire. Ena always played with it because she was so interested with it. She didn't exactly effect her at all. She became very hot and the fire stayed on her skin not hurting her at all. Ena was a gruff little kid so she didn't mind. The house burned to ashes before her eyes and she heard the screaming and crying. In her mind she thought of it like a game. She thought her mumma and papa where playing tag. She chased them around with fire til they had to stay. They died. At that moment she really didn't understand what was happening and watched almost all he family die right before her eyes. She couldn't remember such a painful memory in her whole life at all.
That was the signal that started it all. In the end coming out of her own trance she was only able to escape with her little sister. She couldn't really remember what happened but the flames called for her that night. Nor did they ever actually go away, knowing something was going to happen she didn't disregard it at all. She accepted it and the beauty that came with it. The night of the fire she roamed the streets with her sister in her arms. It was only a matter of time before she was moved to say with her grandmother. Not that she minded at all. But it wasn't the same at all, Ena slipped into a depression a deep and dark one. She became ruthless and heartless. She never let her heart wander from her family. Love is an idiotic thing and she would rather into deal with it at all. But little did she know, her heart was set on the fire. It called to her and claiming Ena as its possession. She didn't mind at all. She let it happen. She embraced it, and surely she began to get back on her feet and try and start over. Even though she started all over, she still never fixed her heart. She remained heartless and less caring at all. All she needed was the flame. Along with her depression she picked up a habit. It started with fencing but soon changed to sword combat. She used it as a stress reliever, but she tended to scare people with it. That's how she liked it. She wanted them to stay away.

So begins...

"Jace!" Rose's shout was lost under the sounds of music, clapping, and multitudes of voices as she watched her younger brother disappear into the crowd ahead of her. Someone bumped into her as she hurried after him, causing her to stumble a bit as she heard a quick apology without seeing a face. Barely able to catch herself in this getup, she let a frustrated sigh escape her lips. The butterfly patterned Yukata she wore was pretty, but it was so difficult to move around in that she didn't think it was worth donning, even if this was the Obon festival. She didn't get why they had to always participate in these kinds of things anyways when she was only half-Japanese and had lived in America for most of her life. Sure, Bon was something about honoring the spirits of the dead, which was all cool and good, but still. At least it was the last night of the festival.

Once she's regained her balance, Rose made her way through the crowd to try and catch up with him. Really, she was having to maneuver her way around since most people were participating in the Bon Odori ((Bon Dance)). That only made it harder to find Jace, which made her anxious and frustrated despite how beautiful a night it was. The night air was just cool enough to be pleasant, and the sky was clear enough to count the stars. Smiles and sounds of celebration were everywhere. At the moment, Rose found this all to be suffocating and annoying.

She stopped when the crowd thinned a bit to look about a tad frantically in a circle. It was hopeless, though. She'd completely lost sight of him. Taking a deep breath, Rose stilled herself and closed her eyes to focus. The sounds around her became sharper and more clear as she tried to sift through everything she was hearing in her mind. There were so many voices; too many to-

"Rose?"

Her eyes snapped open as Jace's voice hit her ears. She rab in the direction it's come from, and soon, a head of brown hair she recognized all too well came into view. When she was close enough she placed a hand on his shoulder. "Jace! I told you not to run ahead." She paused to catch her breath as her younger brother looked at her with a guilty smile, "Sorry?"

She tried to give him a stern, scolding expression, but failed. She couldn't help but give a relieved smile at him being safe, and the air around her seemed much less suffocating than before. A sigh and laugh her brother knew all too well escaped her. He rolled his eyes at what he knew as her relief response to her overprotective worrying. He didn't comment on it, but rather grabbed her sleeve to pull her along behind him. "Stop being so slow. It's almost time to light the lanterns!"

The lanterns were Jace's favorite part of the Obon festival, and the were something Rose actually found to be interesting and quite beautiful. She gave a pleasant smile. Maybe a festival wasn't that bad after all. With a renewed vigor, Rose gladly let Jace lead her towards the river where their parents would be waiting for them. The crowd was starting to migrate that way as well. At the sight of their mother and father waiting near the bank, Jace waved and sped up while Rose's smile disappeared into a neutral expression. In a similar manner, her mother's expression turned cold and hard when her eyes found them.Their father gave a small wave in return to Jace's and handed them each a lantern once they'd stopped beside them. Because they planned to release the lanterns into the middle of the river, their mother was ushering them onto one of the small boats there. When Rose was about to step in, however, something stopped her.

Her mom gave her an irritated sigh and a glare that told her to hurry up, but Rose didn't notice. In that moment she felt something pulling at her, like a soft whisper coaxing her to come closer to hear its words. As if in a trance, she turned away from her family and the boat with lantern in hand to moved farther down the river. After a while, the whispering pull ceased, causing her to blink as she came to a stop. Looking around, she found that the crowd was far thinner here with only a few people lingering around. Reflected on the water's surface in front of her was the full moon, and the way the moonlight danced on the river's surface was enchanting. It was beautiful. A strange, warm peace came over her, and a gentle smile made its way to her lips as she knelt down next to the water. She softly placed her lantern out onto it, and as soon as her hands let it go, a white flame seemed to dance behind her eyes, causing a gasp to pass through her lips. The flashing white flame was gone almost as quickly as it had come, leaving her confused as she felt a strange energy around her.

"...What was that?"

Jacki looked out at the crowd from his bedroom. He had been there for a few years and still didn't see the entire point to this celebration. His mother still celebrated it back when they lived in America. Father never got into it. His younger siblings were all about it. To them it was like christmas. He looked over at his rock and began to mold it like he always does.

His father was down below selling pots that he had made. Jacki sat his rock blob down and watched it harden. "Honey your father needs help. I have to make dinner so your dad needs someone to translate." His mother called. Jacki rolled his eyes as he walked down the steps

"Whatever you say mom. But why me." He says reaching the bottom of the steps. "Because you are the oldest that still lives here." This comment made him roll his eyes again. "Ok fine. I will go help him"

Outside his dad had a staggering 2 customers. By the time Jacki sat down dad had already gave them what they want. "Mom thinks you need help." "I don't see why its not like its hard to understand that when someone points at something they want it." His father says. Jacki laughed. "So can I go for a walk?" His dad silently nods.

The festival was huge so far. He walked for ages. There were so many people. It almost seemed there was more here this year then there was last. Jacki kept walking until he reached a lessly populated area. He rubbed his golden hair. The water was beautiful. He had thought so ever since he came here. Kneeling by the water and looked in. He just sat there and stared into it. "Man, I wish i could go for a swim." He chuckled. "I don't feel like walking home wet and cold." Then the white flame caught his eye. "What was that? It looked cool." He says to the white haired girl standing next to the lamp.

((for those of you who don't know. whenever I use this he is speaking english)

Taji never was one for festivals. Sure, back before it all happened, he had pretended to be. He went to them with his friends; smiled, laughed, played games; and they thought it made him happy.

It didn't.

The air smelled fowl of smoke and vomit from drunks; his sense of smell, especially keen, only made it worse, so his stomach always hurt a bit, his lungs felt harsh breathing it. The noise was so intense it made him dizzy. The press of people had always bothered him, but after the cage, it was no longer bearable.

He had to try, though. Who knew? Maybe his family would be here. They always went to Obon, no matter what, every year. So he pressed on, despite his discomfort, hoping to catch a glimpse of their familiar faces. If he didn't see them for the entire night, it meant they probably hadn't moved to live near this place; he could discount a lot of ground in his search. So, he persevered. He talked to people that talked to him, pretended to be joyful, and played their silly little games, just as he always had.

After a while, he decided he had surveyed the inner press of people long enough. He headed for the edge of the festival, away from the dazzling lights and yelling vendors, and into the woods surrounding the fairgrounds. Upwind, of course. The faintest of breezes promised that the smell would remain in the other direction, as well as setting leaves to dancing, creating patterns of shadow and moonlight on the stone path that wound through the brush, slightly overgrown at the edges. Deciding he had traveled far enough, he summoned the winds, letting them take him to hover within the canopy, so he could still see. If any had seen, there would have been an uproar. A wraith, some would have said; visiting those left behind. A God, others would have said; a God of the festival, come to answer their plea to guide the dead.

He carefully edged back closer to the festival, using the dancing patters to hide the way his hair would shine in the moonlight. Stupid, unnatural white color. White was not helpful for blending in. His eyes skimmed the crowd, searching from his vantage point.

Nothing.

Lucy

Lucy had never really attended a festival before, but this year the cafe she worked at had a booth open, and of course, she had to work it. Not that she minded too much. She had spent the majority of the night serving hot and cold coffee drinks, passing out business cards to curious customers, and helping prepare small treats to sell. Lucy's cat, Taboo, was right alongside her throughout the entire evening, though she couldn't help but feel uneasy, like something was tugging her away from her work, whispering to her and enticing her to follow it. She refused however and decided to work.

Among the crowds she had seen a familiar face, the face of her newest neighbor, Taji. She hadn't known him long, but they had shared in brief chats in the hallway between their abodes. Lucy, being as shy as she was, had not really managed to hold an actual conversation with the man, but Taboo certainly kept his attention. She waved to Taji as he passed by the stand, though he seemed busy, seemingly looking for something, or someone. She brushed it off as she watched him walk away and disappear into the crowd.

When it was about time to release lanterns into the night sky, Lucy got off work. She picked up a lantern and headed down to the water, climbing into a boat, and rowing out to the middle of the lake, passing a strange girl who seemed fixated on the moons reflection in the water on the way. Lucy paid no mind to it. When it was time to release the lanterns, Lucy held onto hers for a moment longer, tying a ribbon with a tiny golden bell to it, onto the bottom of the lantern. As she released it the tiny bell rang out softly as it was blown around by the wind. Taboo batted at the sky, trying to play with the already far away lanterns as they floated higher into the sky. Lucy smiled as the reflection of the lanterns on the water danced and spiraled, deciding festivals weren't so bad. Even if there were way too many people.

Ena sat at her families booth as usual at the festival or whatever people wanted to really call it. She honestly really didn't care about it much so she could have cared less about what it was actually called. There were people around her and she started to feel more than a little uncomfortable. She wasn't the type to really like to be around others too much, crowds bothered her the most. Especially with her being so short she felt the urge to just storm away right then and there, it would have just made things a lot easier for herself and she wouldn't be so annoying at all and she could actually feel at peace. But for the sake of her grandmother she stayed. Ena had been dressed in a deep red kimono laces in black roses surrounding her frame, her hair pulled up into a braided bun at the top of her head and she was happy about the way her hair actually turned out. Out of everything she was very proud of the way she looked when it came down to theses type of events. But she didn’t like actually being there.

She gave the customer a soft smile she forced against her lips handing the young looking mother the stuffed animal. “Thank you!” The mother speaks. Ena gives her a smile and nods. “You’re welcome miss.” Her voice spoke with no emotions whatsoever. She felt a sharp pain in her side the moment the woman and daughter walked away. Her face twisted and she looked at her grandmother was right behind her with a scowl on her face. She couldn’t help but to laugh and shake her head at the one person she felt the most comfortable with in general. ”Lighten up! You’ll scare everyone here with that tone!”Her grandmother spoke to her. Ena’s face twisted at she rolled her eyes at the comment that was made. ”I don’t know these people, so therefore I don’t have to fake my emotions for them” She spoke swift and grinned at her grandmother. Her grandmother simply had shaken her head, going off and working the booth while she stayed behind. Ena looked around and noticed the people moving towards the center lake. She knew exactly would happen and held in the fact that she wanted to jump up and down. She loved the floating lanterns out of all things. It was honestly the best things and she honestly adored them, but would choose to not speak about it.
She turned around and decided against actually going out into the crowd. But even then she still had a lantern of her own for later when she would be alone. She couldn’t stand the crowded people and how they pushed and shoved. Knowing herself she would most likely pushed him back but harder. But, that wasn’t needed since she didn’t want to cause trouble for herself here. But she felt some weird urge in her. Something telling whispering but she couldnt quite grasp it at all. She wanted to know what it was. Without noticing she began to move her feet. Her hands trailing the trees as she passed them by one by one. She quite know what was actually leading her to that point. It was just a strong urge telling her to actually move on and go. Normally she just waited till everyone had gone on and moved away before she would have actually let the lantern up into the sky. But she couldn't wait to see the reasoning behind it whether it be good or bad

Actually caught a bit off guard by the voice speaking to her, Rose quickly looked over at a golden haired boy and blinked. She smiled a bit realizing and finding it funny for some reason that they'd both asked the same question. She shrugged, "I have no idea," and looked back at her lantern as it slowly lifted into the sky and down towards the rest of the lanterns, "But this is the Obon festival, after all, so maybe it was a spirit." She meant it in more of a joking manner, not guessing that she was actually right and that the small white flame had been an overflow of the guardian spirit inside of her. However, she did notice that something felt different. She suddenly felt that a floodgate of energy had been opened and she felt tingles everywhere. She thought she heard someone call her name, so looked over her shoulder, but no one was there.

Confused, she shrugged it off and looked again at the boy beside her. "I'm Rose, by the way." She looked at his hair, wondering if that was his natural color. Well, her own natural color was even stranger because she wasn't albino or anything. Not that golden blond was a strange color. Plenty of people had naturally golden blond hair in America, just not here in Japan. She thought he looked like he might be a foreigner, but then again she could be wrong.

Her ears picked out a strange pattern in the sound of the wind overhead, but just as she was about to look up, her eyes were drawn back to the moons' reflection in the water as it seemed to be growing wider.

Now that's a little strange... Were her eyes playing tricks on her? Or was the moon's reflection actually expanding?

~Jacki Newbnurn~

"Yea, spirits. I'm still new to the whole thing about the culture." Jacki smiles and holds out a hand. "I'm Jacki. Its nice to meet you Rose." It was nice to have another acquaintance. He hasn't made any friends really. It has been a few years. The only person he ever talks to is the "bully" at school. He tries so hard but falls a bit short on the whole thing. The poor kid only makes himself look dumb. The girl seemed focused on something completely different. He looked over. There was a slight vibration just before he did though. Jacki stared into the shrubbery. He scowls and lets out a "Hmmmmmmm......."

Twas a night of nights for Japan, the Bon Odori to be exact. Of course Atara wasn't much for that, being how it was bright and he had no real fun in bright lighs that often, preferring to stay away and play some fetch with Itsuki by the river, with a size 1 tennis ball he'd throw the ball and let Itsuki chase the poor thing, to usually catch it mid-hop since Atara usually sipped it along the ground towards the land, since he didn't want his dog going into the water right now, it wasn't that it was cold, it was more the lanterns, which he sent one out for his family and figured Aria, whom was with her friends. It was nothing abnormal with most festivals, since Aria's friends were en masse currently, he didn't have to worry, then again, one of her friends, Yukari, was with her, and Atara shivered when he thought of how Yukari was. That girl scarred him some days, yeah, Aria's going to be fine. I haven't seen her away from Yuu-chan often, and Yuu-chan is I do believe the captain of the Martial Arts Team... he thought, though as he drew his attention off his dog, Itsuki noticed another, and approached a white haired woman, whom had another near her, of course, Itsuki was sniffing the girl by the time Atara had noticed Itsuki, which his head had started splitting as the he felt a dark feel around him, though he approached the two, and his dog, speaking with a corrective tone,

"Itsuki. Get back here! You know better!" he yelled which had Itsuki coming back to next to Atara, "Sorry about that. Itsuki is rather curious at this time, plenty of scents and all"

Ena had watched as all the lanterns went into the sky. They all just seemed so beautiful in ay case and she couldn't help but to smile to herself about it. It was one of the rare things she ever really did. But flying lanterns always made her happy since she was just a small child. There was just something around it that she truly and honestly loved. It was odd to actually talk about and wouldn't tell people about it either. But either way she loved the flying lanterns.
Once her own was up and into the sky she went and traveled down the river she was just by her when she let up the lantern. She walked down it quietly hoping not to get caught by anyone at all. Eventually she stumbled across a few others that seemed to be gathered up. She gulped mentally and leaned against one of the trees. Something was telling her to stay. No it was urging her with a strong force. It wasn't normal in any way and she needed t figure out the reasoning for I. This was all too crazy. What was even actually going on with them. But either way she stayed behind just watching everyone fading into the darkness.

-Rose-

He's new to the culture? Yeah, it was safe for her to guess he was a foreigner. Her eyes left the moon's reflection to look over at Jacki again after a moment. She blinked, a bit confused as he stared with a scowl at the trees and such around them. Had she said or done anything wrong or offensive? No, not that she remembered. Then again, maybe she had. Whatever the case was, she shrugged it off, not really caring, and said, "I've lived in America for most of my life, so I'm not that used to these kinds of things either." She picked at the sleeves of her garment a tad distastefully. She was very uncomfortable in these clothes.

As soon as she finished talking, Rose heard a splash followed by a girl's voice, both seeming much louder to her ears than they really were. Actually, it seemed everything was becoming louder, the swishinf of the water, the rustling of the trees, the wind, people's voices and footsteps... She sighed, knowing this meant she'd somehow lost the grip she had on her abilities to block sound for the moment. Well, at least she was in a very isolated area rather than in a crowd. As long as no one screamed or banged a drum or something close to her it should be fine. After the girl's voice called for "Taboo," Rose saw something that made her face split into a grin. There was a kitty swimming towards them. She tapped Jacki on the wrist, giving a small but excited laugh as she said, "Look!" She watched as the kitty crawled out of the water and started to meow at them, "Isn't he cute?" Then the kitty's apparent owner appeared, apologizing in a quiet manner before shyly asking them about the festival. For someone who seemed so shy, her green hair sure stood out, not that Rose could really say anything with her white. She smiled and gave a small nod and shrug at the girls question, thinking she was as cute as her kitty. As she opened her mouth to answer, though, she froze.

It wasn't the strange sound pattern of the water near the girl that made her freeze, but the thing that had come up behind her and was sniffing at her. Rose's face went pale as she could feel the dog's nose at her hand. Her heart rate sped up as she tried to stay as still as possible with eyes wide.

W-w-why is there a d-dog here! she yelled in her mind, G-Go away! Make it go away!

Someone not to far away from them yelled, causing Rose to flinch, closing her eyes and quickly covering her ears as pain exploded in her head. Her ears were ringing, so as she let her hands fall back to her side, she couldn't really make out the last thing the boy she was now looking at said. What she did gather, though, was that the dog was his. It was still there, but at least it wasn't close to her any more. She was seriously annoyed right now, but of course the guy had no idea about her fear of dogs or her sensitive ears, so she couldn't really blame him. That didn't stop her from giving him a small glare, though.

-----

Behind them, in the water, the moon's reflection was, in fact, expanding. When it finally reached the edge of the river, it stopped expanding, sprouting a small black dot in the middle of it. That began to expand as well, the vast amount of spiritual energy brought about by the gathering of the six in this one place acting as a sort of key to opening the spirit and demon realm. That wasn't the only reason, though. The first of the six seals was near its breaking point, the demon it held pushing against it and causing an imbalance in the world's spiritual energies, which could cause cracks between the two realities. Once he escaped from his prison, the demon vowed to destroy them. He would release his brothers and sisters from their prisons as well, and once again the world would be thrown into chaos.

Jacki turned to look back into the water. It was odd. the moon was getting bigger. He looked up to see that the moon in the sky was still the same size. "What the fuck?" He had heard of things like this in books and games but not in real life. This was weird. He steped back "Look at this guys this is cool." He says with a slight grin. The moon and the black dots. He reached in to touch a black dot that was close to him. But he stopped and looked back as if to say. 'what should I do?'
