Job: None, but she serves as a young teacher at the academy because she has so much experience with demons. But she is still a student herself, being a minor and all.
Personality: "I'm not a very hard person to understand..."
Mavis is a very serious young woman. She takes her exorcist job more seriously than many students or teachers do. This is because of her past, but lets not go too far into bio over here. Mavis is not very strict really, allowing students to sleep during her lectures if they wish or even leave it, because in the end, she just tells them that it'll be their fault if they died the next time they went on a mission. She's just blunt like that, and most new students tend to be afraid of her, despite how young she is for a teacher. But deep down, she really does care for her students, and she worries for them greatly, although she is unable to show it to them because she bottles up everything inside for the sake of not hurting anyone, and getting hurt herself.
She's also very blunt, as stated before. She's not afraid to say anything, whether it be to their silly headmaster, to her students, or to a demon, etc. She'll state her opinion out loud, audible for everyone to hear, despite the consequences she may face. If she believes something to be right, she'll do it without hesitation. If she believes something to be wrong, she'll fix it without hesitation. Mavis isn't the type of young woman to hold back when she has her eyes on something, making her very strong-willed, sometimes a little too strong-willed that its frightening. Because of this and her bluntness, she's very terrifying to a few of her students, and even a few teachers, even though she's younger than a majority of them actually. She doesn't mind though since she never has. She thinks that as long as she's able to teach them things that'll keep them safe, she's alright with being feared.
But a side that people rarely see of Mavis is her kind side. Yes, perhaps she is like a mother, but everyone opens up to a few people, isn't that right? Mavis often shows this side of her to a few of her students that she either trusts, or does not fear her. She's also this way around the headmaster since the two are like father and daughter after what Mavis went through and had to regain her balance from. Here, she can smile, and even laugh like a regular girl, unlike how she's always been in front of her classes who often avoid her. Mavis doesn't let this little side of hers slip so easily though. Since she's afraid of growing attached to her students, she tries her hardest to be as cruel and scary as possible. Though she always seems to love them all in the end anyways, which puts all her struggle to waste.

Mavis's history has actually affected her whole way of life and whole way of acting towards other people. It's why she doesn't like romance, or like having family or friends in fear that everything will just reset again to what happened years back when she was just a child.
Surprisingly, Mavis actually grew up in a peaceful country side area, where there was a forest, and a town that wasn't very modernized at all. She lived with her parents, both mother and father, along with a little boy that wasn't even a year old. Back then, Mavis was always smiling and having fun, constantly helping her mother and learning new things, like how to sow, how to tell the difference between a poisonous plant and good one... Things of that sort. She took care of her little brother since her mother was too busy and her father always had trouble. Mavis was the cheerful and helpful little girl back then in the good days, until they came.
A bunch of thieves came to the house one day and just barged in, killing Mavis's father once he opened the door. They then proceeded to come inside and killed her mother next, an accidental firing from one of the men. All Mavis could do was hide in her room, underneath her bed with the baby in her hands. Just as they were going to leave and everything would have been over, the baby began to cry from the sudden shock of lightning.
They came into the room, and simply tossed the baby away, like he was just a toy that wasn't living and breathing. They then grabbed Mavis next, yanking her by her hair and since she showed to be reluctant, they knocked her out and took her to an abandoned house where they rested for the night. She over heard plans about being sold for a profit, but she showed no more hesitation. A 10 year old child seeing her whole family brutally murdered in one day was too much for her, and all she waited for was that useless life of hers to finally be over.
Something happened just then that was quite similar, to what she was hoping for, but it was far more than what she expected. A demon. Out of all places to be, there was one in the country side, roaming the forest the abandoned house was planted at, and apparently smelled the blood on the men and Mavis's clothing, burst through the door and began to kill. It first went for the men, killing them first, even more blood shed that frightened Mavis at her young age.
Once the monster was done feeding off the two men, it came for her. Mavis obviously tried to run away, but in the process, she tripped over a dead animal through the forest, and had trouble getting back up with her hands tied together. She thought it was the end, not the way she wanted to die, but she waited, shaking in the rain with the thunder and lightning striking above her head until a miracle happened.
Her savior was an exorcist. The current head master of the academy to be exact, Xepher, when he was still in training. The demon was slain just there, on the spot, and when Xepher asked if she had a home, she simply answered that everyone had died and she had no where else to go. Instead of trying to find her a home, Xepher offered to train her at the academy he was attending at the time, in which she accepted without second thoughts. If it would teach her how to kill those monsters, the demons, she'd do anything to get her revenge.
After training all her years up to her current age, it finally paid off. She raised up in the ranks, became a Knight, and things went great. She even became a teacher, hoping that none of her students would make the same mistake she did as a child. From then on, her personality changed. Unlike the happy and up beat young girl she was back then, she's became silent and bottled up, not willing to lose someone she'd care for and have to suffer again like before. The only exceptions are Xepher, and her students, and even to them, she tries hardest not to stray out of order.
There is also one more exception, her old fiancé. She grew attached to him, perhaps not in a romantic way, over the years she taught him and went on missions with him. When she was injured by the past mission, a new one was put up, and he took it without hesitation, being the stubborn and heard headed young man as he was. But before that, he proposed to her. Although Mavis didn't exactly know what that meant, she felt some sort of feeling for him, so she accepted. But he left, and an accident happened. She didn't get news of this until she was well and ready to get up and do more missions along with teachings that her fiancé had died trying to take down an elite demon on their own, resulting in all of their deaths.
This stage led her into even more depression, asking permission from Xepher to stop her teaching for a whole month, which he allowed. Again, more bloodshed she didn't have to see, but hear of. It caused her to stay isolated away from her students and everyone for a whole month. Over time though, being a very strong young woman, she got onto her feet and dealt with it, swearing to stay an exorcist and live on to get revenge on all the people she lost. But now, she takes even more caution towards growing attached to anyone in any way.
Other: She still has a picture of her old family when they were together and when Mavis was 10 years old. Yet even with this, she constantly has nightmares about what happened back then, the day of bloodshed, and of the same thing happening with the people she cares about currently.
Relationships: "I loved them all greatly..."
Mavis has a great love for her mother and father along with her baby brother. She still does love them and is very attached to her family although they died long ago. She also had a great love for her fiancé who died about half a year ago during the process of exorcizing a powerful demon. Even with all these deaths in one life she had to deal with, she's moved on, obviously still loving them all, but moving on in their memory and living life to the fullest.

Theme Song: Crimson's Bow and Arrow
They're the prey, and we are the hunters!
Without even knowing the name of the flower it had stepped on
The bird that had fallen to the ground, grows tired of waiting for the wind
In the place where it prays, nothing changes
But what does change, is its readiness to fight
It steps over the corpses, and moves forward, the pig that ridicules intentions
The peace of the cattle, and the flourishing of deceptions
Can kill off, the freedoms of the hungry wolf
The disgrace that was taken prisoner, is the counter attack of beginnings
You're a hunter, who slaughters his prey in the castle wars
As the impulses that gush out fire up your body
Your crimson arrow that slings from your bow drills a blood red scarlet hole into the twilight.
