Appearance:: "I know I look good, but these are some new shoes you see. . ." Aslan is your classical thick blond hair boy with blue eyes you can never stop gazing into, he tall with a strong build and is what his father calls a female magnet. Apparently Aslan get's it from his father's side of the family. . . He has a soft face with a nice smile when he wants, but can give off a very scary expression when he's angry or just slept badly. He also has his father's taste in clothes, or more like that's what everyone thinks. Aslan wears a lot of renaissance clothes and they look good on him but when there is no one that is connected to his father around he will wear casual clothes in which he feels more comfortable.
Personality:: "You can judge me, but I really don't care. . ." Aslan is the cocky stereotype Blue Blood, he likes the fact that he has power and lineage but he also likes to pick fights for no reason. His attitude has cost him many family complaints and a lot of injuries. He has anger issues which his parents have been trying to cure but they seem to get worse every time Aslan goes to see a specialist. . . the reason is because Aslan doesn't need a specialist but needs his parents around. Aslan needs the friendship and love of parents he never got so he fights in hope that he can feel better afterwards, but his violent behavior has only made his parents distance themselves. Alsan tries everything to make his parents proud.

✘ People insulting his family
✘ Clingy people
Fears:: "Is this really necessary?. . ."
~ Falling for a misfit
~ Being hated by his parents
~ Losing Babur
Relationship:: "It is the least important thing. . ." He isn't currently crushing on anyone, but he did have a girlfriend and slept with her, then they stopped seeing each other.
Skills:: "As a Blue Blood my duty is to be strong and not easy to defeat. . ." Aslan played a lot of basketball with his father and gained reflexes and technique, when his father got too busy to play Aslan started sword play because he could do it on his own. He has perfected both basketball and sword play and now works on hand-to-hand combat.
Clubs:: "Clubs will bring me more prestige. . . and maybe even a good fight. . ." Basketball, Fencing and Boxing

Image
Name of Bond:: "If you dare comment on his name I don't think only I will want to kil you. . ." Babur
Race of Bond:: "He is not just a lion. . ." The Nemean Lion, with a golden pelt impervious to attacks and with claws sharper than any sword can cut through any armor.
Personality of Bond:: "Differences are what makes us close. . ." Babur is much calmer than Aslan, he thinks before he does or says anything and has such a soothing voice and gentle eyes. Babur will usually be found lying in the sun passing through a window or outside in the grass, he will never start a fight and he will even try to calm the one picking a fight with him or else Aslan arrives and then the battle begins. Without Babur around, Aslan would be in more than just fights, he would be in Child Correction separated from Babur and being harshly educated.
Babur is a kind and very social lion who loves children and even though he is humongous people are not afraid of him because he moves slowly and is always polite. . . unlike SOMEONE! *cough* Aslan *cough* And he gets a long very well with Sayer's Bond Xanthus.
Skills of Bond:: "He is the only one I admit to being stronger than me. . ." Babur has amazing physical strength and cannot be killed by a simple man-made weapon so Aslan would train on Babur's fur to train for the sword. His claws are sharper than swords and he has killer instincts that he doesn't let get rusty so he goes hunting for his own food.

History:: "I don't need your pity, but if you want my fist in your face just say so. . ." Aslan lived the good life; perfect food, perfect home, girls all around, respect and lineage. There was nothing wrong with it and he went to the best schools. He met Sayer. . . Aslan's and Sayer's parents said that their friendship would bring much pride to both families but let's just say that friendship between them would be a miracle. The surprising thing is that Aslan never picks a physical fight with Sayer unless he is really pissed off.
It was when he turned into a teenager, right after his parents had sent his inscription documents to Tyrillia Academy that he started fighting. His parents left for months leaving him alone with Babur and his grandparents (who weren't much company) and they would take care of commerce business in the other countries. Aslan hated the solitude and when they came back home and he tried to talk to them all he would hear was how Aslan would soon take over the family business. Rage took him over and he started to fight, a lot. He almost wasn't accepted into Tyrillia Academy but then Babur calmed him and told him that if he stopped fighting he would get accepted into the academy with full internship and make friends then he wouldn't have to worry about his parents.
It's what he did. . . but the anger still brews inside of him.
Family:: "It's a little hard to trace backwards. . ."

Father - Goeff Portegar
Mother - Quilla Portegar
Grandma - Beth-Anne Portegar
Grandpa - Henri Portegar
Grandma - Deceased
Grandpa - Joed Deryme

Other:: "I guess this is your last question?. . ." He can't stand Sayer because he knows the guy is just pretending to enjoy being with Aslan so Aslan is mean with him all the time in hope that Sayer will finally show Aslan that he dislikes him.

Walker stood perfectly still, then, moving before anyone could have time to react, instantly slammed a punch into Erin's gut, then throwing him over his shoulder into the ground, his knife appearing from nowhere at Erin's neck so the slightest movement would nick something important. Brenna stood between the pair and Nemesis in Night-Mare form, pawing the ground as she stared down the dire-wolf. Walker glared into Erin's eyes, the fury inside unrelenting.
"Your sister does not have a gaping hole in her stomach. Like it or not, boyo, I'm the only one here who has actual medical experience, and the only one lucky enough to make sure things go well. If you want your sister to come out of this alive with everything in her skull the way it should be and not in a coma due to hypothermic shock, you'll have to trust me. Try to stop me, and I cut your Achilles tendon so you can't walk, and continue making sure she's safe. And as for the flag, I let go of it the second I heard Maya scream. Your sister blocked a piece of wood that would never have hit it's mark. Think about that for a bit, and then talk to me AFTER we make sure your sister is safe." He got up, and walked back over to Rue, taking his jacket off and using it as a makeshift blanket, ignoring the cold. He then went back to making sure she was stable, using some more of his bandages to patch up any wounds Erin had missed.
As he kept pace with his work, Brenna continuing to stare down Nemesis, with her sharp hooves and luck manipulation as the reason Nemesis shouldn't cross her, he began to have a flashback to one bad evening when he was younger with a very similar situation. One of the enemy gangs had been fighting in the restaurant with the gang his friends were in, and he'd had to tend to both friend and foe. Several of the other guys resisted his help in the beginning, but he'd been able to save most of them... There was the one kid, couldn't have been more than 13... He'd had a beer bottle smash his eye socket in, and he died while Walker had been working to save him due to hemorrage of the brain. The dead kid's face... the funeral... The people who swore his death because he couldn't save the kid... He'd promised himself he'd never let that happen again, not to anyone he saw.

Walker sheathed his knife, and Brenna changed to rabbit form, hopping in his pack so he could walk to the ladder before he did, he stopped to speak to Luca.
"I guess I'm in your debt now. Call me if you ever need anything." He then climbed up and awaited whatever punishment he'd have to face.

Rue Tyryl

Her eyes slowly shifted open and what met her was a brightly light sky and the smell of cleaning supplies. Then she realized that she was no longer outside and that the sky above her was in fact a ceiling with a very bright fluorescent light. Her eyes focused then, and she took a deep breath feeling much more relaxed and energetic than before. Her fingers moved across her stomach and she looked down to see that her shirt had been changed out for a simple white short sleeve that exposed her pale skin. Around her stomach she felt a kind of tight pressure and lifted the shirt to see what it was.

Wrapped around her torso were bandages that were still white and crisp. Gingerly she touched the area where she'd received the deep gash from being dragged and winced only slightly at the dull ache that pulsed at the touch. Slowly she pushed herself up to look around. Her bed was situated right next to a window and across from her was another bed with another occupant. A girl with black hair who was sound asleep. Rue raised an eyebrow as she recognized that black hair and realized it was the girl who had caused a lot of trouble during their trek through the forest.

Looking around she also didn't see Luca or anyone else there with her. Throwing the covers back, she got off the bed in her jeans and socks and started walking towards the door. Her only thoughts were on finding her brother and Luca. Even if she just found one of them, she would be happy.

"Where are you going?" A soft voice asked. It was the nurse that had probably tended to her. Twisting around, Rue looked at the older woman and found it hard to speak. She opened and closed her mouth, her nerves twisting her stomach and clenching her throat.

"Luca," was all she managed and then opened the door to the infirmary and left as quickly as she could. Running was probably a bad idea as she could feel a slight pulling in her stomach. Obviously her wound had been stitched, so in order to not break the stitches or make things worse, she slowed her pace and walked quickly down the hall. She didn't even know where she was going, but she was determined to find someone who knew what happened to Luca and Erin. Even Snow wasn't with her and she was beginning to be fearful about what happened after she'd passed out.

"Luca... Where are you?"

Erin Tyryl

His arms were folded over his chest as the students were now in the presence of the insane sports teacher. At least, Erin thought he was insane. What kind of sport was that? The 'live or die' game? His irritation was clear and even more so in the presence of the boy named Walker. How he wanted to tear him apart and let him know just who was exactly the more deadly here. However, he pulled himself together and told himself that the kid wasn't worth his time and seeing as Rue was okay, he didn't need to fight anymore.

One thing was for certain though, Erin wasn't going to talk to the boy ever, and if at all possible, never set eyes on him again. A cough welled up in his chest and he quickly covered his mouth as it exploded and sent hot blood into his fingers. The fight with the behemoth had tore him up pretty good, but he wasn't too worried about it. Whatever wound he had would heal just fine, the blood was just left over from the fight. With that in mind, he just wiped his hand on his jeans, leaving a streak of crimson.

Leaning over, he got Luca's attention, "Your bond, is he with Rue? I'd like to see her once this guy gets done talking," he said jabbing a thumb over his shoulder at the sports teacher. Not to mention he was pretty tired and probably needed to have a check up with the nurse also. With a look at Luca, he determined that the taller boy needed a check up too. "You should get looked at too you know," Erin commented, then grinned, "Rue's taken quite the liking to you, wouldn't want you to be in anything less than perfect condition."

Next to him Nemesis laughed, his barking voice coughing like it always did. The huge wolf leaned heavily against Erin's thigh and flicked his ear towards him and Luca while the other kept turned the other way to listen to the teacher.

"STOP! PLEASE! I'LL DO WHATEVER YOU WANT, JUST STOP HARMING HIM!"

The cry rang out from Maya, so different from her previous snideness. Aubrey struggled to swallow back bile, glaring at the other girl even as her eyes teared up again. So she can screw with us as much as she wants, but her flying snake gets a few cuts and boo hoo? Aubrey screamed inside her head, growing dizzy as she bit back the emotion that would fill her voice if she'd actually voiced her thoughts.

Bren felt the onslaught of her rage and fear, crowing to his rider in efforts to sooth her. A sigh turned into a grimace when her back throbbed when she tried to resettle her seat. Thankfully Aslan joined her just then, distracting her. "Are you okay? How's Bren?" His questions made her blink in surprise; he seemed genuinely curious about her condition, even though she'd failed miserably in her efforts to help and no one else seemed to notice her much. She bit her lip, thinking about a response. She could say 'fine', but it was too much of a lie. Everything hurt and she was worried for Bren.

"We're living," she murmured, watching the others. The hurt girl's brother (it was an obvious connection with their hair and looks) got into a fight with the boy that had returned with Maya. Rightly so, Aubrey agreed, turning her gaze to the flag that was finally given up, listening faintly as Aslan called to the sky for their teacher's help. Humming that seemed to fill up her ears and pound in her head (but it was probably just the headache, she mused) came with the relieving sight of the hovercraft. The boys were still fighting as a rope ladder unfurled. Aubrey eyes traveled up it's length, watching a girl already climb up. She wondered faintly if it was safer in the hovercraft or on the ground, but decided she might as well stay on the ground because surely she couldn't make it all the way up there.

Bren understood her considerations and took a few steps towards the rope ladder. Before Aubrey could even protest, her stubborn bond sent energy flowing into her body for the climb that should be a piece of cake. Aubrey glared at Bren and slipped off his back, managing to land on her feet but not managing to hold back a tiny whimper. Cheeks flushed lightly pink at the chance that someone might've heard her showing weakness, she hurried up and gripped the rope ladder in shaking hands, pulling herself slowly up. She almost lost her footing twice, but heaved herself gratefully into a seatbelt-less seat, but a seat nonetheless, careful to not lean against the back. Aubrey brought her legs up to her chest, rubbing at some dried blood as the others on the ground finished up whatever they'd been 'discussing'. The girl she'd watched climb up a few moments before started singing a song most everyone knew, and Aubrey found herself tapping a finger against her leg to the tune.

Berach Vullian

He glared at Walker when he spoke and then took some steps toward the boy, "Training is meant for war, it means you practice for war, it mean you are at war. You should have done the right thing, but you didn't, so next time you will."

He knew kids like Walker, those who thought they were always right. Berach had been just like him but he also knew what hard consequences came with that kind of attitude so he let the boy go even if he didn't understand what Berach was trying to comunicate to him.

When all the students were gone he went to the teacher's lounge and sat on the couch, "So how are things going?"

"Not so good I must say," answered one of the teachers, "The North Front Army is backing up and coming close, I do hope the students are ready."

"They are. Fighting wise," Berach sighed, "but not for war."

Aslan Portegar

Aslan went to the cafeteria and ordered his meal then sat at a table where no one came to sit with him. Everything that had happened at training went terribly wrong, the only good thing was that they defeated a Behemoth but so many people came near death because of it. Aslan had to show more authority or no one would listen to him.
Maybe I should start a fight. . . He thought to himself.

No you won't, we just got out of a fight so leave them in peace, Babur intruded Aslan's thoughts.

"Sir Portegar," an errand man came to see Aslan and handed him an envelope, "for you."

The errand man left right after leaving Aslan to see the emblem of his family keeping the envelope shut. He opened the letter and started reading but when he was finished his eyes stayed wide and the letter slipped from his fingers falling to the ground.

"It can't be," were the only words he could whisper between his lips.

Rue Tyryl

Once again he made her flustered. Her cheeks were bright red as she struggled to reply to him. How the hell did he do it so easily? She thought to herself in amazement. Her eyes flicked to Erin as he turned down the hall, only then did she catch the small smile on his lips as he disappeared around the end of the hall. Nemesis was looking up at his bond with the same look on his black sleek face. Obviously the boy and his bond had been discussing something and Rue had a feeling it had been about her.

Her hands felt warm as she realized that Luca was holding them and she returned her attention to him. Her heart had been racing and her thoughts on how well he'd come up with an immediate response that she hadn't noticed his taking hold of her fingers until just then. His lips pulled into a smile as he spoke to her, concluding that she was right and apologizing for making her wait. His hands reached out and tapped her cheeks gently flooding her with a strange twisting in her stomach and only able to stare up at him in awe.

"But you should cheer up also, your smile is much more beautiful than your frown. Shall we then?"

Her heart skipped a beat and she looked down then feeling helpless to keep the smile from her lips when he said to do so. After a moment she looked up and gave him a nod, the smile still there. Taking his hand she led him down the hall and followed where her brother had gone, though a lady in a white coat was ahead of them as she'd been waiting for Luca apparently. It was another nurse.

Once in the infirmary again, Rue met the woman whom she'd escaped from to begin with and the lady only frowned at her in disappointment before leading her back to her own bed. She had to wait for Luca to be treated before he was allowed to sleep, but he was on the bed next to hers and she looked away quickly as they began tending to him.

"My my, what a body that boy has," Snow remarked as the bird flew about the room.

"You have too much energy," Rue muttered as she struggled to keep her eyes the other way though she did turn and took a quick look before looking away again. Her face a brilliant red from doing so, however.

"Just as I thought. You thought so too."

"Whatever, Snow...." she muttered, pulling the covers up to her nose as she stared at the white wall across the room.

Erin Tyryl

"Thank you," he told the nurse that finished fixing up his battered chest and gave him some medicine to take for the pain. He was grateful and took a couple with a cup of water. Afterwards, he pulled his shirt back on and left the infirmary, his stomach leading him to the cafeteria.

"So, you think he'll be good for her?" Nemesis asked as he padded behind his human bond. Each step was a bit jarring, but the dire wolf healed very quickly, so his earlier injury across his shoulder and rib cage was nothing more than just an annoying bruise.

"Yeah, he is. I don't think he'll let anything happen to her." Erin replied with a slight grin. His earlier reaction was a true one, though the last part was half done just to tease her as he walked away, giving his sister and her boyfriend time alone. He was more than happy to see her talking with the boy just as much as she would talk to him. Never had he seen her so determined or heard her voice her thoughts so openly before. Luca had something about him that just got her all riled up and it was quite fun to watch.

Erin walked into the cafeteria, ordered a plate of chicken and a couple of bones for Nemesis. Once he received the food he went and found a place to sit. Across the way, he spotted the president sitting at a table looking pale and in shock. Raising an eyebrow, he watched the young boy and his bond for a moment before decided to go and see what had him so white. Getting up, he groaned slightly, took another piece of chicken and popped it in his mouth as he walked over.

"Hey, pres. What's wrong?" Erin asked as he took a seat across from Aslan and waited for his reply.

Walker's story
After Walker got back from the trip, the first thing he did was go to the infirmary to check on both Maya and Rue, making sure he had disguised himself as a nurse, and was lucky that no one had recognized him when he had slipped into Rue's room with a lunch consisting of pan-fried fish he'd prepared himself, with a chile-lime mayo sauce he'd made himself that always proved to be a hit down in the Wharf, as well as a light salad with a raspberry vinegarette on the side and a slice of handmade chocolate cheesecake with a raspberry glaze, also his own work. His taste test earlier had proved ithis meal to be one of his best works yet. He placed the meal down in front of Rue.
"Lunchtime, Miss Tyryl." He said, hiding his accent with all the skill of the finest of con men. "Oh, before I forget, a boy named Walker McMullin came by earlier with this meal, and said he wanted to apologize personally to you, but protocol said otherwise. I told him I'd handle it for him, and it took a bit of convincing to get him to agree. He also left me a message to tellyou, what was it... Ah, yes: 'Hope you get well soon, your brother gave me hell trying to keep me from making sure you were safe after you passed out. I'll try to keep away from running into you anytime soon, unless you feel like at least talking.' And that's it. Well, I need to be off, so eat while it's still hot, and enjoy!" As he said that, he slipped out of the room and over to Maya, who had turned her sketch into a paper airplane and was flying it around the room. Maya grunted in disgust.
"What do you want no-... Walker?" she asked, as Walker smiled and took the makeup he'd been using earlier off and removed the nurse's outfit he'd had on. "Damn, and I thought I'd seen all your talents."
"Nah, you've only seen my biggest talents." Walker said, pulling up a chair and sitting next to her. "Speaking of, what the hell were you thinking back there? Granted, I owed you, so of course I was going to help, but why do something like that in the first place?" Maya looked out the window.
"Well, I couldn't have let it be TOO easy for everyone." Walker laughed at this, and smiled.
"Riiiight. Well, just remember that our relationship is over from here on out as lovers, got it? Friends only, it was too awkward being the one left in the dust." Now it was Maya's turn to laugh, then grunt a little at the pain.
"Well, that saves me the trouble of trying to avoid you like the plague now!"
After that, the two continued to chat until Walker had to leave due to visiting hours.

Brenna's interlude
Brenna hopped through the hall to the cafeteria, where she nabbed a bit of food from the line, then over to Aslan and Erin.
"Hey, Erin, I'm sorry about Walker's actions, he's got a code he sticks to, and I can't really do much about that." She then saw Aslan's face and turned to face him.
"Now, dear, what's got you all up in a heat?"

Rue Tyryl

Someone dressed as a nurse came in and sat next to her bed while Luca was being tended to. He dropped off a large amount of food next to her while smiling and spoke to her. He talked about a boy named Walker and how the young man had wanted to apologize to her about the incident in the woods. Lifting an eyebrow she pulled the covers down from her face and looked up at the man. His face looked strikingly familiar, but she couldn't place it.

"My brother will always protect me," she stated firmly without blinking. After a moment she bit her lip and then turned to the nurse, "But, I think I can accept his apology. Erin is going to be harder to win over," she mumbled the last part. Then the nurse left her and she lay on the bed alone thinking about the events that had happened. She had been startled when Walker had come out to attack Luca, so she wasn't so sure if she could forgive the boy for that. However, Erin did have a tendency to over do it when he was protecting her. In fact, she could go as far as saying he was overly protective and it was sometime suffocating for her. Rue knew his heart was in the right place though, so she tried not to let it bother her.

A heavy body dropped down into the bed next to her and she gave a slight squeak of fear and embarrassment as she realized it was Luca.

“Hmmm? That defiance from earlier has tempered a little. You made me afraid that you weren’t even going to allow me to be inspected alone. Thank you for helping me earlier though.”

"Remember, this is punishment," she said to him, though her voice had long since lost it's edge. Then she blushed as she bit her lip and continued, "I didn't do anything," she muttered, though she knew what it was he was thanking her for. She didn't think it was much, Rue had just acted rather than thought. To her, if anyone should be thanking someone, it should have been her thanking him. He'd done more for her than anyone, even if he wasn't aware of it.

She wiggled around in his arms as he held her, careful not to hurt him too much with her movements. Finally, she was facing him, her head right against his chest and she breathed deeply. He smelled... good, very appealing. She couldn't place the scent but it was enticing. Her fingers stretched out across his chest as her arms were crushed between them. She could feel every muscle in his lithe frame, only then did she realize how very tiny she was compared to him. His arms wrapped around her could have easily swallowed her whole. Slowly her own eyes began to fall closed, heavy with weariness. That is, until she remembered what Blue had said to her and her heart did a jump and she was awake instantly.

Moving her head slightly, she looked up at his face and wondered if he was asleep. She didn't even know if she should bother him with what Blue had said. Maybe the demon was just testing her, or making a joke. Her skin chilled and she shuddered slightly. Though, to her, it didn't seem all that much a joke. She bit her lip then opened her mouth to speak, "Luca," she whispered, "Blue said something... strange earlier to me." She started slowly, unsure of how to proceed, not even sure if he was awake, "He told me to 'consider if he didn't want me to see you, how would I out run something that could teleport?'. What did he mean?"

Erin Tyryl

A tiny little ball of fur bustled up to him as he was waiting for Aslan to snap out of his shock. Erin was becoming a little nervous just watching the boy. The bunny hopped next to him and started talking, startling him somewhat. It was rare for a bond to talk aloud, at least for him. Nemesis never said anything aloud for as long as he'd known him. The dire wolf was all growls, barks and howls as far as Erin was concerned. Next to him, the wolf bristled slightly, recognizing the bond and who it belonged to.

"Hey, Erin, I'm sorry about Walker's actions, he's got a code he sticks to, and I can't really do much about that."

He lifted an eyebrow as he reached over and patted Nemesis' head. Slowly the wolfs fur relaxed and he was once again the sleek bundle of muscle and fur. With a shrug Erin answered the little bond, "Sorry, but it'll take more than a cute little bunny to turn my thoughts around towards the guy. So long as he stays away from Rue, I won't have any problems with him," his eyes shifted to look back at the fluffy bond, "though, you are pretty cute and adorable. Rue would probably love you."

Nemesis growled next to him reminding him of who's bond he was talking to. With a cough, he glared at the dire wolf and then turned back to the bunny, "Anyway, thanks for that. But just keep him away from my sister, alright?" He reached over and gently patted the bond's head before turning his attention back to Aslan.

Brenna switched to her Goblin form and fidgeted a little.
"Well, Walker already ignored that one, he made her one of his best lunches so she didn't have to eat the crap they serve in the infirmary. He may seem a bit chaotic at times, but he always pays his debts, no matter how he ended up with them. It's a part of that code of honor I mentioned." As she spoke, she took a few steps back, ready to either flee or cause mayhem for Erin and Nemesis should they try to get to Walker.

He slapped his hand over his forehead as he listened to the little bond that had suddenly changed form. He wasn't too started with the transformation, but it was kind of strange to see the little bunny turn into a goblin instead. Erin gave a soft growl of irritation as he sat there with his hand over his eyes and face. His free hand clenched into a fist as he sat there.

"Ignore it, Erin," Nemesis growled, "She's not in any danger at the moment. Luca's with her, remember?"

"Yeah, yeah, I know," Erin replied over their connection, his voice a deep growl as well.

"Ugh, fine," Erin told the bond out loud. Though his eyes narrowed as he looked down at the goblin, "But I swear the next time he tried to harm her, I won't keep Nemesis from tearing him apart limb from limb. I hope he understands that. The boys got a long ways to go with getting on better terms with me, damn it," Erin finished as his free hand tapped the table in irritation. It was hard to keep still and not go after Walker because he'd gotten close to Rue. However, he was sure that Luca would keep her safe if the boy had tried anything. As he thought about it, though, the infirmary did have some terrible food.

Without realizing it, his lips had pulled into a smirk as he let his hand fall from his face and land on his knee. After a moment, he laughed lightly despite his irritation, "Jeez. Well, at least she'll eat well, I suppose."

She grabbed her tray of food then turned and saw how empty the cafeteria was. Everyone was at the infirmary and she felt guilty about it because she hadn't recieved a single scratch from the fight. Cerberus had gotten a few bruises and cut that hurt her as well but nothing serious. She was about to sit down on her own when she noticed Aslan sitting alone with a shocked expression on his face, one she though he would never had so she went to see him after Erin had already asked him the same question Ama was planning on asking him:

"What's wrong?"

Aslan Portegar

He had never thought that a single letter could change his whole life and all of Tyrillia. The one letter trapped in his hands. He wished it was just a prank, but his family emblem and his father's signature at the bottom made it pretty clear that none of this was a joke.

Erin came and sat down along with Amalthea and they both asked the same question so Aslan erased his scared and stunned expression from his face easily, just like his father had taught him to look attentive during a meeting even though he wasn't. A small goblin he recognized as Walker's Bond came along too and that was when he folded the letter put it into his pocket and stood up.

"It has nothing to do with you, now run along before I get pissed off," he grabbed his tray than walked away and threw it at a chef.

Babur, we have to go see Berach.

What was in the letter?

Nothing good, something that will change the whole world.

Rue Tyryl

“You really are amazing. You’re both strangely considerate and selfish at times, and that makes you adorable,” he kissed her neck, causing her to take a deep, quick breath. Though his earlier reaction was what she'd been hoping for, so she allowed him this time to make her blush once more. Her heart raced as she lay on top of him, his lips moving as he spoke tickled her skin. His lips pressed against her cheek then too, copying her moves exactly. Rue's face flushed further as he continued to talk.

“You’re honesty also makes you irresistible to tease. Although, I may have created a frightening personality as a result.”

To this she laughed, dropping her head against his chest as she tried to smother the sound against him. After a moment she lifted her head again to look at him, her eyes bright as her smile returned, the same wild one she had before. A sly grin as she acknowledged his words. Yes, he was probably right about that, though she could always turn and blame him for it now. She made a mental note to remember that little detail and to exploit it as often as she could. If she could throw him off just as he did to her, then she would be even with him, not to mention it was quite fun.

“So I’ll tell you my second greatest secret for the time being,” her eyes widened slightly, an eyebrow lifting as her smile turned into a small 'o' as she waited for him to speak to her. She was curious to know what it was he wanted to say, but as she lay there, her head propped up by her hand that rested against him, her ears buzzed slightly and all the soft sounds in the clinic faded away. She didn't realize that Luca had done anything until he leaned back so that she could see his lips easily. He said something to her, but her focus was on his mouth.

"I love you."

Then her hearing returned and she smiled after a moment, her eyes still locked on his face. Rue fought off the blush, her heart skipping a beat before jumping into an irregular race. Then she turned her head sideways and lay against Luca with a soft sigh.

"My secret for you, is the same," she said before closing her eyes and breathing deeply. It wasn't long after she'd spoken that she was sound asleep across him.

Erin Tyryl

He watched Aslan get up and stalk out of the cafeteria, his eyes narrowed in confusion. What just happened? Was it something he'd said? Damn it all to hell... he thought to himself in irritation.

"If it's not one thing, it's another," Erin mumbled to himself. Nemesis huffed as well and rested his head against Erin's lap. Reaching down, he started petting the dire wolf without really thinking about it. He'd all but forgotten about the little goblin that had been there with him, but as he remembered the bond, he turned and looked down at it.

"Don't suppose you know anything about that, do ya?"

Aubrey listened to Berach but averted her fuming eyes to the floor. How did he throw a group of more-or-less strangers with only a handful of any real training between the lot of them into a situation like that and expect anything to work out?! She sucked in air between her teeth and almost immediately regretted it as her chest squeezed painfully. But she felt grimly happier when Maya and Walker got a special chewing-out. For the rest of the hovercraft ride she focused on breathing slowly and trying not to think about whatever ‘team-building activity’ was in store for them.

Upon stepping off the flying vehicle, they were practically swarmed with nurses who seemed to pick them off one by one. Aubrey knew she’d gotten some slightly-more-than-minor injuries, but she’d thought she could manage to slip away... nope, not quick enough. Some no-nonsense woman clad in white popped up right in front of her and looked her up and down before tutting softly and dragging her away with a gentle grip on her arm. Aubrey bit her lip but complied, turning instead to muse over the startling size of their infirmary. She supposed with teachers like Berach, it was necessary, as well as with the size of some bonds.

Speaking of bonds, Aubrey looked around with a crease forming in her brow. The nurse guessed correctly, assuring her that they’d be reunited with their bonds soon. Aubrey huffed but sat down on the edge of a bed, watching warily as the nurse went around the room gathering things. She was given a bandage for a fractured rib, ice for the biggest bruises, and salve for the cuts before she managed to slip away, feeling a little bit better.

Once she’d made her way safely past the reach of any nurses, Aubrey began looking around, thinking of where the bonds may have gone. Except that just then Bren rounded a corner and trotted over to her, tail flicking happily. The girl sighed, relieved, and hugged her bond. Maybe they had a bond infirmary? In answer to her questioning look, the griffin lifted his wings from his back, showing her how they’d been treated. Aubrey smiled and ruffled his head, and they both made their way to the cafeteria.

Just as she reached the entrance, out burst a stormy Aslan, too deep in thought it seemed to notice her. She clung to the wall and watched him pass, wondering what had him looking that was as she entered the cafeteria and saw kids that had been healthy or already treated hanging around at various tables. One of which held the white-haired brother of the girl with the phoenix bond and another girl Aubrey didn’t know as well as a little goblin-like creature which must’ve been someone’s bond watching the doors. Maybe they’d talked to Aslan? Aubrey wasn't up to find out and instead used the opportunity to grab some food and sat down at an empty table, grateful to be off her feet after only that short while. She tossed Bren an apple to shove his beak into and started nibbling on a sandwich for herself.

Aslan Portegar

His feet stomped on the floor as he started heading toward the exit of school grounds. He had to go. Nothing would stop him not even Babur who had his jaw closed on his pants trying to pull him back.

I don't know what you read in the letter, but you can't just leave, you have Special Bond's class next! Babur said as he tried not to hurt Aslan.

"Aslan!" Berach came running with Sullivan already a head of him to get a hold of Aslan's arm, "Where do you think you're going?"

"To save what is left of my family, if there is anyone left!" His sudden outburst was louder than what he had wished for and it caused Berach to halt in his tracks, "That's right! This letter was just given to me but who know how long ago it was sent and my fahter clearly says that the whole North of Tyrillia is under attack which is exactly where my family lives. My mother is dead, all of the servants are dead and who knows, my dad is probably dead too!"

"Aslan, you need to calm down," Berach tried to grab his shoulder but he ripped away and pointed at Berach in his face in accusation.

"When you said that the war wasn't completely over, what did you mean? Just how current is it? How close is it?"

Berach was unable to answer because just then a flaming rock crashed in the middle of the court forcing Aslan and Berach to take cover on the floor. In just a few instants Aslan could hear ringing of swords blasts of gun shots and orders being shouted out. He had heard stories of war but he had never in his life imagined to get caught up in one.

"That's how close it is," Berach answered as they ran.

An announcement was made to all the students: Students! Listen carefully, all classes are finished, you must take cover in the Auditorium right away, no delaying, don't go to get precious items becuase they won't be precious anymore if you're dead. Get to the Auditorium right away!

Berach dragged Aslan away from the edge of school grounds where Aslan noticed a crowd closing in on the school but there were others fighting them. There were catapults throwing rocks in both ways and there were Bonds forcing themselves onto each other to rip their throats out. Babur and Sullivan followed Aslan and Berach to the Auditorium.

All the students were gathered but Aslan just sat in a corner with Babur. He had dropped his father's letter when they were outside and now the only thing on his mind was how were they not going to die. If everyone was going to act just like they had at capture the flag, death was not a probability but a certainty. Things were crazy, just a few seconds ago there was nothing and now there were armed men trampling on the fresh green grass of the school.

"Gather 'round!" Berach yelled, the other teachers were on the stage with the principal and him, "This is not a drill, this is not a game. This is war. Some of you have talents in fighting, some of you are talented in other things but all of you are warriors and we are going to get through this together. For now the Tyrillian military is holding them off but we're going to have to help them and for that you're going to get a quick lesson from Jenniphael Durmane Special Bonds teacher."

Amalthea Oprah

When Aslan ran out she went back to eating and thought that he just had a family problem that he needed to deal with but then the whole cafeteria shook and when she looked out the window the grass was burning and there was a giant boulder in the middle of the court. She looked out at the horizon and noticed people fighting, they were far but there were so many that every sound they made could be heard all the way to the school. Panic ran in her and then he looked at Cerberus who had come closer to her so that she could be safe.

"What's going on?"

An announcement was made through the speaker and she immediately headed toward the Auditorium. Luckily she didn't have to go outside to do so, she ran through the halls with Cerberus right at her side. When they got to the Auditorium she sat on a chair and tried catching her breath. Then Berach made his speech that froze her blood and stopped her heart. The only thing Amalthea was talented in was music and hiding behind Cerberus while he did all the fighting then when she saw Jenniphael the History teacher she wondered how such a frail woman with such a small Bond could fight.

"I know you all remember me as your History teacher, but I am also your Special Bonds teacher and I am going to have to speed up today's class which can be very dangerous so I'm going to ask you to be very serious about this because if you're not you could die," that was not very reassuring coming from her mouth.

Walker's Story
Walker heard the explosions, and then the announcement as he spoke with Maya, and as Maya got up to go, he pressed her back down.
"Stay here. Use your wind magic to screw up winged soldiers. Get Quetzal to only storm up their half of the field, and whatever happens, don't die." Maya nodded, and then stared out the window, ready to make her moves when needed. He then ran through the halls to catch the final bit of the History teacher's speech.
{Well, I wasn't planning on going out into the battle anyways, but hey, this could be fun.} He thought to himself, feeling Brenna tug at his leg as she crawled onto his shoulders.
"Just like old times down at the Wharf, eh, Walker?" she asked, holding on piggyback-style to him as they stood there.
"Yeah, just like-" As he spoke, he gasped, his pupils dilating, and his irises turning golden. "one of THOSE days..." He then turned and walked towards the door, like he'd had earlier plans and wasn't going to let a war get in the way if them. As he walked, he moved at a light pace, almost as if he was just a cat moving through the area.

Students! Listen carefully, all classes are finished, you must take cover in the Auditorium right away, no delaying, don't go to get precious items because they won't be precious anymore if you're dead. Get to the Auditorium right away!

No sooner then the intercom had clicked off there came gunshots that practically shook the building under their feet and the yelling of an army off in the distance. Wide eyes flew to the large cafeteria windows, proving that it wasn’t a lie and the fighting wasn’t so very far away. Aubrey stared, standing with her feet glued to the floor, lunch tray still clutched in hands with white knuckles. This wasn’t real. It was some test Berach wanted to throw at them... it had to be.

Bren shoved his shoulder into his stock-still bond, jolting her nerves into catching herself on a table instead of following her tray as it hit the ground. Their eyes met and the words from the intercom made their way back into her brain. “Right, Auditorium. Let’s go.” She murmured, already leading Bren from the cafeteria, the sounds of shots and yelling sounding louder in her ears then they actually were.

They entered the Auditorium, filling quickly as Berach and their Special Bonds/History teacher spoke to them all. "This is not a drill, this is not a game. This is war." Berach spoke, deadly serious.

Her breath was suddenly gone, leaving her lungs aching and her stomach twisted into such knots that would make a weaver proud. War. The word swam in eddies around her mind, confounding. She rejected the idea, tried to push it away. But it boomed in her head, thudding to the beat of her heart and bombing and exploding and her vision went red with fear until Bren nibbled at one of Aubrey’s clenched fists and she was able to suck in air and hold it, trying to focus on what Ms. Durmane was saying.

"I know you all remember me as your History teacher, but I am also your Special Bonds teacher and I am going to have to speed up today's class which can be very dangerous so I'm going to ask you to be very serious about this because if you're not you could die."

Aubrey bit her lip and gripped a fist of Bren’s feathery coat to steady herself, neck stretched as she searched through the people. She found Aslan in a corner, just sitting. His face was overcast, calculating something. Not good. She ducked down and weaved through people, reaching the golden lion first. Aubrey watched Aslan, worry crossing her face. Now that she was in front of him, she didn’t know quite what to say. He was just the most familiar face.

She sucked in breath and opened and closed her lips a few times, but finally just shut them. Now was not the time for some stupid joke, not that she could even think of one with her mind still faintly spinning with surprise.

“Any other news?” she decided to ask, although a stupidly obvious question, turning to the golden lion beside her stiff friend.

“Rue? Rise and shine, don't make me kiss you again. I’m sorry but seems i'll have to put off being a pillow again, things may have gone awry... Snow, stick close to me, I’ll likely have to teleport us.”

She groaned as she slowly came awake, feeling his fingers across her small frame. Not wanting to get up, she turned her head the other way and was instantly comfortable again. Rue would have fallen right back asleep had Luca not moved himself out from under her. With a bit of a pout to her lips and a groan, she pushed her white hair from her face and turned to look at him. There was an urgency in his eyes that woke her immediately.

"What is it Luca?" She asked him, but before he could answer her, a nurse interrupted. The woman was relieved they were awake, but Rue was utterly confused. What the hell is going on? She thought to herself, an eyebrow coming down as she watched the exchange between Luca and the woman in white. Not long after that and Maya was taken to be right next to them, her black hair messy from being in bed for a long time. In the next instant, the room blurred around her and the scenery changed. Instead of a warm comfortable bed beneath her, she found herself lying on her stomach in the middle of the auditorium. The cold hard floor greeting her harshly.

With yet another groan, she pushed herself up to her hands and knees, forgetting completely her stitched wound. As she pushed herself up and leaned back, she felt the pull of the stitches then and immediately hunched forward to ease the tension, her lips tightening as she bit the inside of her cheek to keep from uttering a soft sound of pain. The last thing she wanted was to worry Luca any more than she already had. Snow whirled around her head a few times before landing on her shoulder, her wings extended partially as she was agitated.

"What's happening Luca?" She asked, her eyes locked on him as she sat there on her knees. Absently she reached up and stroked Snow's chest, her fingers running across the downy feathers of the phoenix. For a single moment, her eyes left his as she scanned the room. The auditorium was packed, much like the first day she'd started school. On stage was the president of the school, Berach and their general educations teacher. She was speaking, and from what Rue could gather, the little woman was also supposed to be their special bonds teacher.

The room echoed with the teachers voice as she said that they were bout to have their first, and probably only, lesson on special bonds. However, what really got Rue's heart racing, was her ending words. 'I am going to have to speed up today's class which can be very dangerous so I'm going to ask you to be very serious about this because if you're not you could die'. Die? What was it the other teacher had said? She hadn't been paying attention as she'd been focused on waking up completely and getting herself off the cold floor.

"He said this is war, Rue. There's a war going on!" Snow answered for her, flapping her wings.

"War!?" Rue's eyes shot to her bond as she unconsciously took hold of Luca's fingers. Ice flooded her veins as she stared at the bond, then looked from Luca back to the stage. With a sharp intake of breath she turned around, pulling her stitches as she did so, and looked out into the crowd for Erin and the large black dire wolf. It wasn't long before she spotted them, and as if they were in tune with each other, his exact sharp green eye color caught hers. Nemesis pushed his way through the students, giving Erin just enough room to rush right behind his large bond.

In a matter of seconds, the boy was right next to them, dropping down and pulling Rue into his arms, "There you are. I was afraid you hadn't been able to get here. It's hell out there! There's fighting right outside the school grounds. There's been a couple of hits to the school to. I could hear them on my way here from the cafeteria. I didn't think you'd gotten out of the infirmary," his voice flooded her ears as he spoke quickly, refusing to let her go.

"I'm alright, Erin. Luca was with me the entire time."

To this, Erin looked up off his sisters shoulder and gave an appreciative smile to the boy sitting next to her, "Thanks man. I owe you a lot."

Nemesis planted himself right between them all, his eyes scanning the students all around them, his fur bristling lightly. The dire wolf was highly sensitive to the actions and the threatening presence outside the school. Finally, Erin released his sister and she scooted herself closer to Luca. The room was getting crowded.

"What now?" Rue asked.

"Don't know," Erin shrugged, "But whatever happens, try not to get separated. Got it?"

Rue swallowed and nodded her head, her eyes narrowing to match the determined look on her brothers face. She wasn't planning on getting separated, especially from Luca.

Rue Tyryl

"That promise Rue, don't worry about it. I help you because i want to help you," Luca's voice penetrated the air around her and she turned to look up at his back as he was fighting off a handful of the little bonds that attacked them. Her eyes widened at him in surprise and admiration. All thoughts on how wonderful he truly was. Soon after and the short attack in the auditorium was subdued and the Special Bond's teacher sent her fairy out into the crowd. Vines erupted across the walls, covering up the broken windows and twining together so tightly that Rue didn't think that even the students would be able to get out.

Then she turned to the woman who was speaking, telling them about how to strengthen their connection and create a stronger, more powerful bond that would regulate energy use and be thousands of times more effective. Rue turned her eyes to Snow as the bright white bond flew back to her and landed on her shoulder. Standing, she raised an eyebrow as the teacher pointed at her directly, specifying certain students in the crowd, Luca included. Rue knew that she could use her bonds power as well as her bond using Rue's own abilities. Not that she had many skills, but her tiny body and the ability to move quite quickly always came in handy. Being a former gymnast gave her the advantage of being highly flexible. Movement was her specialty, bending and twisting, dodging and ducking. It all came naturally to her that for the most part, during a fight she'd be leading her attacker, right to where she wanted them before she sprung back.

All those thoughts flitted through her mind as she envisioned exactly what she would do should she fall prey to the attackers against Tryillia. She would lead them to Luca, knowing full well that he and his bond would easily dispatch anyone who wished to cause harm to her. He would probably do it without a second thought as well. Rue concluded that she would do the same for him should anything happen to him. She would encase the entire school in dry ice for him if it came down to that. Both her and Snow began trying to concentrate and feel what the teacher was telling them, but another crash against the school walls distracted her and Rue fell out of tune with Snow.

"Don't worry. You and I will be fine. We've got a close enough bond between us. We'll get it eventually. In the mean time, save your energy, Rue. I have a feeling we're going to need it. If we plan things right, neither of us will run out of energy before the end."

Rue nodded, "Alright," she said to Snow then turned to Erin who was gazing at his bond, a small smile on his face as the two shared some personal jokes between each other. She was fairly sure she knew what they were talking about. Erin wishing to be the wolf and Nemesis despising the fact that he had to think about himself being a human. The teasing would be ceaseless, but they both knew what they had to do and they probably had more practice with it than Rue and Snow.

Sidling up next to Luca, she put her arm around his waist as best she could, her tiny frame dwarfed by his athletic build, her eyes turned upwards to send him a small grin, "Remind me when this is all over that I have plans for you," she said. Anything to keep the bating war outside off her mind. As long as she could stay distracted until the actual fighting started, she was sure to be alright. If she sat there and just thought about it, she would grow apprehensive and when they needed her, she would be nothing but a shell of pure emotions bent out of shape.
