Amora 'Armour' Candenza

"Would you rather die quickly or slowly? Slowly, duh."

0 · 319 views · located in USA Midwest

a character in “Undead Apocalypse”, as played by Moonbow

Description

Amora stands tall, but not abnormally. She has reddish-brown hair cut in choppy layers with a slight bang covering her face. She has sea-green eyes and lush pink lips. Her eyelashes are long and black, they look like she uses mascara. Often described as beautiful, she doesn't care. Her body is fit and she is capable of extreme stunts such as pole vaulting and has high endurance. She's toned and her muscles don't make her look like a guy, they've only boosted her complexion.

Personality

Fight, rebel, leader. These three words describe Amora best. She's like a rogue, seeming selfish but then she pulls selfless stunts that confuse everybody. Amora is a leader who hates weakness. She isn't like a dictator though, she's fair, kind, but has slight anger issues. (Side effects include: Smashing things, stalking off angrily, snapping at people, training so hard to empty her mind she forgets about her health.) So don't broach a sore subject. Seriously, you'll regret it.

Equipment

Since she doesn't have many options she is typically happy with whatever clothes are available, though she likes black and grey the best.

Her supplies are:
Throwing knives
Retractable pole
Rope
Water Purifying Tablets
Bow and Arrows
Spear

History

When the apocalypse happened Amora's parents (scientist that didn't love her) were going to let her get bitten so they would be able to study an undead without the hassle of catching one. Disgusted, Amora killed them as they tried and took their survival kits they were using. She ran home frantically to save her cousin who raised her. The undead had already began to tear Lilly apart. Lilly had always made the best out of scenarios and yelled, "Katniss! Katniss please!". Amora strung the arrow and shot Lilly in the head while saying. "I'm so sorry, Cato.".
Then, as the zombies started to pursuit her, she ran to her friend Alex's house. He was alive and they fled together and got separated.

So begins...

Amora sharpened my spear by a shallow river as she waited for her water to purify. The rock against the metal made loud noises but were muted by the noise in the building. Geez. Amora thought. Who is making all that noise?
It was the the sound if things shifting and falling, the pattern sounded like a a human was doing it. Amora pondered whether she should tell them how loud they were being, they were scaring all the prey away. Making up her mind she slung her backpack and bow over her back with a throwing knife and spear in her hand. Quietly, in case it was an undead, she opened the door and stepped in, knife raised. In the corner Amora saw a girl rummaging threw the supplies. "Hello?" Amora called, rather distrustfully.

Kaylie turned her head sharply and swiftly. She grasped her dagger "Who's there?!" She semi-yelled. As she lifted herself up she crept over to the voice. As she saw the red-headed girl she breathed a sigh of relief "Praise the lord, another human."

For a moment Kaylie pondered why this girl was in the city, but she shrugged it off and smiled. She had found another survivor! The smile quickly faded as she asked in concern "You're friendly, right?"

Kaylie gave a light chuckle and catched the bread. She tossed the bread back "An alliance sounds great, but keep the bread. I have my own supplies."

Kaylie gestured towards the shelves "We should salvage for some supplies, then get out of this hell-hole. I saw a horde of them dead folk walking down the streets," she said. Kaylie then began scrambling for more supplies, keeping her knife near her. She picked out some chocolate bars and breakfast bars and stuffed some in her backpack. The rest she slid over to this other girl. "So, got a name? Or are you just 'Miss Assasin'?"

"I'm Amour, you're right, we should get out of here." Amora stuffs some stuff in her bag and freezes when she hears the devilish moans of undead, they were close. "Scratch that, we NEED to get out of here." she grabs the girls arm and pulls her out of the store. Amora quickly climbs to the roof and gestures for the girl to do the same. Then she scans the surroundings to see about ten zombies heading their way. As the girl gets up amora smears this green cream on her face, an apologetic look in her eyes.

Cole Stryph was standing beside his sister, who was currently crouching behind a building and peering around the corner. Her eyes were wide as she stared at whatever it was she happened to be seeing. Cole simply stood there, hoping she'd share it soon. Just as the thought crossed his mind, Abby turned and grinned at her sibling. She stepped forward and wrapped her arms around his waist in a tight hug.

"There's people, Cole! Actual, real, alive, non-zombie people!" Abby whispered happily. She was having a hard time keeping her voice quiet, but she knew shouting was a dumb idea in a zombie infested town such as this. Cole glanced down at her and she looked up at him happily.

"Seriously! They're in the gas station. We have to go say hi!" Abby replied happily as if her brother had spoken. Cole gave her another look and Abby responded by releasing him and taking a step back. Her normally cheerful grin morphed into a frown.

"We are going to go over there, Cole! They're people, and we can't just leave them. Besides, safety in numbers, right?" Abby responded. She turned to peer around the corner again and let out a gasp.

"They're being attacked! We've gotta help, Cole. C'mon!" Abby cried. She took off, leaving Cole to chase after her wordlessly and in great annoyance. Why did she have to try and help everyone they met? So far she'd managed to get them betrayed more times then he could count by other survivors looking to do only that; survive. They didn't mind duping an innocent girl like Abby to do it, either. But Abby was his sister and she loved to help people, and he loved her. So Cole hefted his hammer and chased after the short girl running with the bat. It was going to be a long day...

Dranka just couldn’t believe what he was seeing, survivors coming out of the woodworks. After everything that’s happened in the past few months it just seemed too good to be true
Dranka had stationed himself on a low-lying building with a pair of binoculars, watching things play out. So far he’d seen six living people all converging around a gas station. Makes sense, food, shelter and fuel but by the simple fact that supplies are limited this situation could end in conflict. Hence why Dranka was up here rather then going in there himself.
He pulled out an packet of stale biscuits and prepared for the show

Kaylie panicked. As the living dead swarmed the station she scrambled to get on the roof. The dead began to charge at Kaylie. She looked at 'Armour' in fear while she tried to reach for the roof as she stood on a news stand. The zombies were now about 20 feet away from her. They broke into a run and she squeeled in fright. She was two busy to see the two other survivors. Kaylie continued jumping for the roof, and then her hand reached the ledge. She grunted in pain and perspired as she pulled her body up to the roof. "Help!" She yelled to Armour, yet the help wasn't needed. A zombie reached out its hand to grab Kaylie's leg.

Hngggyah!
Kaylie kicked the zombie away and got atop the roof. She looked at Armour in fright and curiousity "W-what do we do now? Wait... What is that on your face?"

"HIYAH!" Abby yelled, swinging the bat. She had on a huge grin even as it made contact with a zombie head, splattering it. Blood splattered across the pavement as Abby turned to the next zombie, swinging wildly but with surprisingly accurate aim. After all, she'd had lots and lots of practice swatting zombies. She turned and swung the bat once more, letting out a giggle as another zombie went down.

"And another! We're gonna meet real people, Cole!" Abby sing singed as she continued fighting her way towards the gas station. Her brother was following her, smashing the zombies Abby missed. The two worked well as a team, almost fluidly. Each protected the other and bodies of zombies littered the ground around the duo. Abby pushed forward ambitiously, as Cole followed and tried to keep his sister safe.

"Heeyy! People!" Abby yelled, taking a moment to wave at those on the roof before returning to hitting the zombies surrounding her.

"Welcome tto our humble domain!" Amora waved down to the two people heading towards them and aimed her bow. She let go of the string and killed about five undead surrounding them, arrows right through their skulls. "Hurry up!" Kaylie yelled. "Yeah, and if you do come up here I hve to put this cream on your face!" Amora added.

"Nice to be here, thanks!" Abby called back. She let out a cheerful giggle just as she reached the gas station. She pressed her back against the wall and continued swinging. Not a moment later Cole was beside her. He spared a glance to Abby who grinned recklessly at him.

"Oh, don't be like that, Cole! This is fun!" Abby teased her brother. With Abby, Cole didn't actually have to speak. She understood him through glances, able to read the stoic boy like a book. Cole let out a soft sigh of exasperation at Abby's insistence on getting herself into extremely dangerous situations. It seemed to him like she almost enjoyed it when she was risking her life.

"Cream? Well, I have been needing a moisturizer like crazy! Be right there," Abby yelled back cheerfully. Cole moved to stand in front of Abby as she turned and reached for the roof of the gas station.

Kaylie looked shocked at the two survivors, she nodded to Armour and pulled out her knife. She leapt onto the news stand and stabbed a zombie in the head. As she yanked out the dagger another came at her, which got a dagger to the forehead. She frowned at the girl "Shush, you'll attract them from everywhere! Massive hordes are patrolling the city." she said. Kaylie didn't seem bothered about the fact she was killing revived humans, and she continued aiming for the heads. Less than a few minutes later a larger group of zombies came... Kaylie yelled at the two survivors "Hurry! Get on the roof, the undead are swarming! We need to get out of here!"

Kaylie then scrambled up to the roof and looked at Armour "Ready to leave?"

"Oh, right... Whoops," Abby lowered her voice to a much quieter one. She sent a guilty look at Cole who just shook his head. He was used to his sister's loud ways and how attracted zombies were to them. It was a wonder the pair was still alive with, but Abby was normally much quieter. She was only this loud when she was excited enough and she was only excited enough when they met new people. That wasn't something that happened too often and when it did... Well, there was a reason the two were still alone despite Abby's friendly ways.

Abby jumped, reaching desperately for the roof. However, she was a short thing and she fell back down. Abby let out a small hiss of pain but otherwise showed no sign of disappointment. Instead Abby simply jumped again and came back down to earth. With a sigh, Abby turned to Cole. Despite being twins, her brother was much taller.

"Uh, Cole, a tiny boost?" Abby asked with a little guilty grin. Cole back up to the wall and crouched as Abby swung bats at the oncoming zombies. She clambered onto his back, still swinging, and Cole stood. He took over fending off the zombies as she swing herself up onto the roof.

"Okey dokey, your turn! C'mon, we'll keep them off you, Cole," Abby called down to her younger brother. Cole glanced up for a moment before reaching up a hand to clutch the edge of the roof. He used his hammer to slam away the zombies around him, using one hand to pull himself up. A moment later he swung his leg over the roof and pulled himself up next to Abby. Immediately the shorter girl tackled her lanky brother in a tight hug.

Kaylie shuddered and widened her eyes, more and more were coming. "Bloody hell, they can smell us..."
She looked at the three others "Got any idea how to escape this place?" She asked, as the hordes came. Undead children, adults, women and children came from roads and alleys. They gathered at the front of the store and reached out their mangled arms, moaning. Kaylie didn't bother to ask the two's name or where they came from. She just dashed to the other side of the roof and got on her knees, bending over. Noticing a free space, she whispered "Hurry, over here! We can jump down and navigate our way out of here". She turned her head sharply at the two hugging, rolling her eyes. She proceeded to scan the area for a path out of the deads sights and a safe way down. Broken legs wouldn't do any good. "Oi, come over here. Can you see a way out, any of you?"

"Hello!Cream!" Amora smeared thecream over the newcomers faces. "Yes, it smells horrible." She scanned the clearing for a way put and saw it. "Okay, can anyone jump really far or pole vault?"
In her mind the plan was to hop about three buildings aand then jump into the middle of the lake where they could, if they can, swim very far. Because it is deep and zombies sink/can't swim they would be safe. Unless undead use boats, that thought was scary.

Abby wriggled as cold cream was smeared across her face and her nose twitched. After a moment she opened her eyes, saw Cole covered in green goop, and burst out laughing. Cole simply rolled his eyes and turned away from his sister to head for where Kaylie was. He peered over the edge too, trying to judge whether or not Abby could survive a fall like that. His eyes flickered to Amora for a moment before returning to the gap.

"Oh! Cole could probably jump it. He's super tall, and he could carry one of us at a time if he has to!" Abby's voice piped up happily, volunteering her brother. Cole turned and gave her a look.

"Don't be like that, Cole. You could do it and you know it," Abby scolded Cole.

As her face was smothered by the cream she looked at 'Cole' "Is he a mute or something?" she asked, rather frustrated at the scenario. She was beginning to think nobody took this seriously- their lives were on the line! She continued scanning as she talked "I can't, I'm not the athletic type. I am a good jumper and could make an attempt, but I would volunteer one of you."

Kaylie rose and paced to the other side of the roof to see the endless amount of dead. She shook her head in disbelief as their rotting flesh reached for the survivors. Then Kaylie looked back at the other side "Screw it, I'll jump" she claimed. Kaylie took a deep breath and stood tall, she took a couple of steps back and spoke. She tried to speak deep to cover her nerves "Alright... I will jump, perhaps then I can catch you lot."

Before the others could speak she ran to the edge, and slipped down. She held on to the ledge and dangled her feet. She gulped and counted to 3 in her head. 1...2...3... Jump!
She let go. Kaylie landed on the ground and almost instanty collapsed, holding her right leg tight in pain. She looked up and semi-yelled "I don't think it's broken, just hurting. Alright, ready for a jump? Dangle off first though!"
Kaylie tried to stand, she supported herself against a nearby dumpster, and held out her arms. She winged in pain but was still ready to catch somebody. The dead at the front of the gas station began to get ravenous, they started climbing atop news stands to reach the 3 still on the roof. Kaylie urged for them to jump "C'mon!"

Cole simply sent the girl who'd dared question his speaking abilities a glare. One that was immediately interpreted by Abby and earned him a smack on the back of the head. Cole scowled, rubbing his head unhappily. It wasn't his fault if people were insufferably rude sometimes! Abby watched, with her mouth wide, as Kaylie first proceeded to leap off the edge of the building, then Amora vaulted after her. She giggled and crawled over to the edge to peer down at the two.

"That was awesome!" Abby whispered cheerily. Cole joined her in looking down at the two girls with a bored expression. Abby sat up and turned to look at her lanky twin. Cole met his shorter sister's gaze and let out a sigh before turning back towards the building.

"No, you go first, Cole! I'll be fine," Abby insisted. Cole sent her another look and Abby just grinned impishly back at him.

"Together then, yeah?" Abby compromised. She slipped her legs over the edge just as Cole did the same. Together the two released and fell to the ground, landing in a crouch position. Abby stood, stunned for a moment, before grinning and bouncing towards the two girls.

"That was fun! We should do it more often," Abby said. Cole moved to stand behind his sister, although it was more like he was standing over her. He kept his cold, expressionless gaze on Kaylie and Amora, analyzing them to see of they were going to pose a threat to his sister.

"Abby," Amora turned to the girl. "Yes?" Abby smiled. "Shut up, Kaylie doesn't want to hurt her leg more often." she tucked the pole back into her belt and turned to the guy. "You up for some luggage, avox?" She gestured to Kaylie. "Let's go, there's a boat over there that we can use."

he had followed their actions closely, watching their every move with much intent. really he knew they were experienced, or at least some of them were.
he decided he would introduce himself, they seem friendly enough. not now of course too much dead. he would have to follow them until safety is available for both the group and dranka himself

Kaylie cringed in pain. She reached for Amora to rest herself, limping with her towards the boat. She threw herself into the boat and whined. "My leg...."
She sat in the boat and looked back at the gas station "Where are we to go now?" she asked, still in pain.
