Cora Halsey Birgison's Story

Elise giggled a little. "Its okay. The duckies like to swim around in the bubbles." She said and slowly began to wash Cora off while humming a little bit to keep herself from getting upset about the bruises. She moved on to Cora's hair and made sure to be extra gentle with her so she wouldnt get scared while she rinsed her off and took her out and wrapped a towel around her, gently drying her off before taking her off to the bedroom. "Lets get you in some jammies!" She said and eased her into a pair of footie pajamas that had ducks on them. "howd you like your first bubble bath?" She asked as she gently brushed out Cora's hair.

Blair let her wiggle around him and laughed a little before uncovering his eyes. "Sorry Im such a wall" He said softly and patted her head. "But maybe you're just so tiny that I seem like a wall to you." He teased before getting the soap and starting to scrub himself down.

Cora swayed side by side as Elise hummed. Cora played with the duckies as she was bathed and her hair washed. She didn't seem phase by anything, including the bruises. She looked at her new jammies and oo'ed at them before getting in them. She looked up at her father who had walked with them and smiled. "It was super fun! Bubbled are fun and duckies are cute." She giggled. Loris smiled and stooped to her eye level. "It is time for bed, I have to go get your mattress tomorrow so guess who you are sleeping with?" He asked.

She pointed up at Elise. "Eli?" She asked. Loris laughed, "Oh I see how it is. One bubble bath with Eli and she is now your new daddy. My poor heart." He smiled. Cora giggled and ran up to him. She thought about it before slowly lifting her arms for him to hold her. Loris picked her up and tickled her side. She laughed and begged for him to stop. "Okay now give Eli a kiss on the cheek goodnight." Loris leaned her down and Cora kissed her cheek. "Nini, Eli!" She smiled.

"I will be right back, just wait for me in the living room." He said softly before going tuck Cora into his bed. He read her one of the books he bought her and looked up in time to see her fall asleep. Loris bent over and kissed her forehead before gently closing the door and leaving a crack open. He walked back to the living room and sat next to Elise.

"I want to thank you for everything. It really means a lot to me and even Cora." He said and looked at his hands. Loris was nervous and it about killed him. "I saw your face earlier and last night... and it kills me to say this because all I ever wanted was you and now that I have you..." He took a breath, close to crying. "I am not going to force you into this so I think it is best that we don't go on that date tomorrow... and that we end this here and now."


Ivie watched him scrub down and had to hold the side of the shower. "You... are killing me." She said. "Do.. I just watch? What do I do, Blair?" She asked, freaking out a bit. "I will just turn around... yeah... because watching you is going to make my legs weak." She said and turned around and getting her hair fully wet.

Elise stepped out of the way for bedtime and told Cora goodnight before she went and sat in the living room and waited for Loris. She poked at her nails while she waited and she could tell by the look on his face when he sat down what was coming next. She listened but didnt look up at him, and when he was done she shook her head. "I...never felt forced, even a little Loris. I dont mind that you have Cora, she's a very sweet little girl..I just..I dont know if im the best person to be around her so much. I dont know if I'm good enough to be a woman she looks up to..." She said, her voice clearly shaking. "But, if thats what you want. I understand...You need to do whats best for your daughter.." She said and stood up, letting a few tears fall as she gathered up her things.

Blair blinked and just shook his head. "You okay...?" He asked and watched the water cascade down her hair as he finished scrubbing up. He managed to get all rinsed off and moved onto his hair, working it into a lather and then messing with it till it all stuck straight up in a single spiral. "Hey, hey. Look. Im a unicorn." He joked.

Loris got up and stopped her, "You think I would have gone to your house last night if I didn't think you were good enough? Do you think I would have let you stayed this long, to have my daughter be so attached to you if I didn't think you were good enough? If you think you aren't good enough then I am worth my child's time. So what if you slept around, I never gave a damn about it. Do you honestly think I would have dated you if I cared? I want you here with me. I have for so damn long dreamed of having you. Of marrying you and starting a family." He said and looked away. He was blushing. Loris didn't want her knowing that until way later on in the relationship. "My past... is a lot worse than yours. I have done things... anyway. I just want you to think about it. Think about if you want this. She is a deal package... on top of everything from her past to mine." He said, his voice cracking.

Ivie nodded when he asked if she was okay and was about to shampoo her hair when he told her to look. She turned around and about died with laughter. "Oh my damn..." She laughed. "I didn't think you had that much hair and you look fabulous. I see why everyone wants to handcuff you to things. They all want your horn." She winked at him and shook her head before washing her hair. and rinsing it out. She grabbed the soap and glanced at him before blushing again and scrubbing herself clean.

Elise looked up at Loris and shook her head. "Do you think i'd be here tonight if I didnt know that? If I didnt want this? Do you think i'd have stayed, painted with her, bathed her? If I didnt want to stay?" She said, tears falling down her face. "I wouldnt have, I would have left the second I found out you had a kid if I didnt want to stay..." She sighed. "What if we stay together, and she goes to school, and she hears from her schoolmates about me? That her dads girlfriend was a whore, huh? What do you even tell her about things like that? Its not exactly a little known fact Loris. What if im not the kind of woman she should look up to?" She said, her voice quiet and shakey. "I want to stay..To be with you..and Cora...I..Just dont know if i'm good enough to be that kind of figure in her life.."

Blair laughed a little and shook his head a little. "Now you know, I was always a fabulous unicorn." He said dramatically before rinsing out his hair and stepping away from the water a little bit. He patted her head, and kissed her forehead real quick before getting out and then drying off.

Loris pulled her close, "Yeah and what if she found out that her father was a druggie drug dealer who was also a hitman on the side? All so he could pay for college and burn bodies as a living? She will learn that people do stupid things and can better themselves. She will learn to forgive. We do many things in our lives and as long as we learn from out mistakes and strive to be better than we aren't really bad people. I refuse to let my child grow up hateful and judgmental. You are more than enough for my daughter, Eli." He said softly.


Ivie smiled before rensing herself off and wrapping herself and her hair in a towel before running off to her room. He was so handsome she could die right now. Who told her to date the hottest man in town? Why did she always have to go after the hot ones? She looked over her shoulder at him and about melted. "Who?" She whispered before getting dressed.

Elise pretty much melted into Loris. She didnt care about his past, not one bit. It was his past, not his present. She nuzzled into him and sighed a little bit. "Why are you always so right about things...?" She mumbled and then pulled away from him a little bit. "I wanna stay, Loris. I really do..." She said and looked up at him. "I want to be with you...and with Cora too." She whispered.

Blair watched her run off and smiled. She was way too cute for him. He got dried off and threw his boxers on and then went to check on Dawn who was passed out next to her bowl. Blair couldnt help but laugh at her a little bit before walking back to Ivie's room. "Well, Dawns knocked out with her face in her food bowl. Guess she loves it just as much as I do." He said.

Loris shook his head, "I am not always right... hell I do a lot of things wrong, but I am glad you think that about me." He said softly and looked down at her. He cupped her cheek gently. "Then stay with us. I don't want you to leave us either. Cora seems to like you a lot and shit... I think it is obvious that I do too." He chuckled before pulling her back to him. "So... how about you stay the night? We can all go together for the mattress and then head back to your place for your bathing suit and stuff. I mean... if you don't mind sharing a bed with me and a four year old. She likes to cuddle, if that is a selling point." He smiled like a big child.


Ivie watched him walk out and then back in moments later. She shook her head, "That or she is exhausted. I let her out in the backyard for a bit and she was running around like she had no business of stopping." She laughed. "And then of course the babies. Just think... when I have the twins, Forrest, and Cora. Your doggy is mine, big boy." Ivie smirked evilly.

Elise looked up at him and giggled a little bit before smiling evilly. "Im gonna steal that little girl from you. Muahaha." She said and then practically skipped off to the bedroom and about died when she got there. "ugh why is she so cute..." She whispered as she looked at Cora all curled up. Elise carefully climbed into the bed and curled up. "Mmm goodnight.." She said and yawned.

Blair blinked and shook his head. "Still just using me to get to my dog. I see how it is. And to think I let you see me naked!" Blair said dramatically and threw his hands up in the air like he was done with everything before he started laughing a little bit. "Ugh I'll steal her back with treats and pampering. She likes to be a little puppy princess." He said and crossed his arms for a second before walking up and started tickling Ivie's side. "You'll never get my little dog missy. Surrender now of face a visit from the tickle monster."

Loris chuckled and walked off to get the house closed up. He didn't go to bed right away and instead decided to look through some things in his office. He looked at some names in his book and thought about giving them a heads up about the situation and if Blair couldn't get the job done then he would. An hour or so later he went to his room and smirked at the scene. Elise and Cora were curled up together. Looking at them now it would seem like she was Elise's daughter. Loris got into his pajamas and slide slowly into bed. He held them close before going to sleep.


Ivie backed up some as he walked over to her and cornered herself. "No no no!" She laughed and tried to move his hands away. "I... will never!" She said and wiggled. "I will suffer for my furbaby!" She laughed and dropped to the floor before crawling away and into the bed. She sat there and looked at him innocently, "Sorry, no Blairs on the bed."

Blair laughed and watched her crawl away from him. "No Blairs huh? Well its a good things im Officer Bubble Butt then isnt it?" He said and crawled on to the bed with her. "Dont worry, I'll protect you from this Blair guy, he sounds super shady." He said as he crawled under the covers. "Now, shh. You'll be safe as long as you stay riiight here." He said and pulled Ivie in for a cuddle. "Officer Bubble Butt will protect you." He said and then could no longer contain his laughter. He kissed her softly. "Now go to sleep or the tickle monster will come back. Goodnight." He said softly.

The next morning Loris woke up Cora staring at him. She giggled, "Good morning!" Loris chuckled tiredly. "Eli, how did you get so tiny?" He asked and sat up. Cora blinked, "I Cora!" She said and pouted. "Oh good good, I love Cora so so so so much!" He said and wiggled out of the bed and took her with him so Elise could sleep more. He let Cora use the bathroom before him and then went to make breakfast. Cora went to her corner and Loris told her to come out and play where he could see her. She slowly made her way into his view. He smiled, "Thank you." He said. "W-welcome." She whispered.


Ivie woke up to Dawn panting in her face. "Ugh, Dawn. Shoo... your breath stinks." She said before rolling over and facing a sleeping Blair. He was so handsome even when he slept. She grumbled and got up before letting Dawn out in the backyard and went start on coffee and breakfast. Ivie sat in a chair, hugged her legs to her chest, and closed her eyes trying not to fall asleep.

Elise woke up to an empty bed. She yawned and sat up and then stretched. She got up, only to wobble and and up on the floor in some kind of clumsy accident. She groaned and crawled to the bathroom and washed her face while she tried to wake up. When she did she looked in the mirror and saw her hair in a big poofy mess and groaned. "If you didnt make me prettier id cut you off..." She threatened her hair before putting it up in a braid and then walking into the living room where she saw Cora playing somewhere other than her corner and Loris cooking and smiled. "Mmmf..Good Morning you two.." She said softly.


Blair woke up and looked around, wondering where everyone went and then wandered into the kitchen to see dawn sitting in a chair, looking like she could knock out again. Blair walked up and kissed the top of her head. "Mornin'" He said softly and then looked out the window to see dawn chasing her tail like she was crazy mad at it and shook his head at her. "I wish I had her energy in the morning..."

Loris looked over to the pretty little lady that walked into the kitchen. "Mornin, Miss. Poof." He said. Cora giggled, "Miss Poof." She said as she played with her toys. Loris peeked over at his daughter and just shook his head. She was beyond adorable and was glad she was slowly opening up to him. It was a big step just getting her to play in sight, but she still had everything neat and tidy. Not every parent wanted their children to make a mess, but in this case he welcomed it with open arms. Loris have Elise her coffee and kissed her forehead softly. "You two are the cutest when sleeping. I had came in after you passed out. You could have sworn you were the one to carry Cora for nine months." He chuckled and went back to cooking. Once he was done he made their plates and bowl, along with drinks, and placed them on the table. "Could you go get Cora, please?" He asked.


Ivie mumbled a morning and stayed like that for a minute more before getting up and fixing the food. "Mmm I wish too. She was in my face this morning. Her breath is... ugh nasty." She said and huffed. Her eyes looked up at Blair whose hair was standing up on one side of his head and couldn't stop giggling. "Someone had a good night of rest."

Elise looked over at Loris and glared a little bit. "We shall not speak of my bed head...Not that kinda bed head anyways." She said and winked before taking her coffee and enjoying the warmth of the cup for a moment before taking a sip and then looking back at Loris. "Oh I looked like a mommy huh?..Never thought i'd hear that." She said and giggled a little before setting her cup down and went to go get Cora. "Cora, sweetie. Its breakfast time!" She said and picked her up and set her in her makeshift booster seat and sat down next to her.

Blair couldnt help but laugh a little. "Yeah, I know. I wake up to that every morning when I'm not here." He said and looked back outside to watch Dawn bark at the sky. SHe was a strange little dog, a good one, but weird. He looked back at Ivie who was giggling and gave her a confused look before he saw his reflection in the window. He chuckled and fixed his hair. "I always do when you're next to me." He said softly and then turned red, not meaning to say that out loud.

Loris smirked and looked over at the two before groaning. "Mattress and high chair... or is their a booster seat for four year olds? Cora... do you know when your birthday is?" He asked her. Cora thought about it before looking up at him and smiling. "January fourteenth!" She said happily. Loris chuckled and smiled, "Good girl." He said and then calculated the math in his head before mentally sighing. Him and Abigail were still together and he had no idea of her affairs. It was around the time he got his job. Celebrate and get a baby! He thought. Loris began sipping his coffee slowly before taking a bite of his food. Cora carefully took a sip of her orange juice, but she looked so cute doing so. "Cora..." He said and she jumped before spilling some on her pajamas. She got tense again and didn't even look at him or say anything. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." He said softly and got up before getting a towel and gently patting her shirt. "That was my fault, so sorry." He said. "No spanks?" She whispered. "No spanks ever." He said and kissed her forehead.

Ivie froze when he said that. She didn't think she would have that kind of impact on him. Not a strong and independent man like himself. She smiled up at him, "Glad I could be of service, Sir." She said in a manly voice before fixing him and her a plate and placing it on the table. Ivie looked outside at Dawn who was having a field day and smiled, "Ahh to be a dog." She said and went sit down.

Elise ate happily and looked over at Cora when Loris accidentally spooked her. She didnt freak out as bad as she usually did, but she did still think she was going to get spanked. There was some progress at least, and it had only been a couple of days away from her mom. Elise looked up at Loris. "They make boosters seats for kids Cora's age. I know where to get one." She said softly and went back to sipping her coffee before getting huge eyes. "Oh my god...She doesnt have animal pajamas! Looks like I got shopping to do." She said with a soft laugh before happily munching away.

Blair continued to stay red until Ivie did her manly voice. He couldnt help but laugh at that. "Oh my. Such a many voice for such a tiny woman." He said and shook his head at her before getting some coffee and looking back at Dawn. "Yeah, dogs have is so nice. Especially that one. Shes spoiled and she knows it." He said with a sigh. "You should see how she fusses at me if I dont brush out her fur on time..." He said and huffed.

Loris had no idea what exactly to get for his daughter and thanked the heavens Elise knew. "You have no idea how much I need you, Eli. Thank you" He sighed happily and went back to eating when Elise looked like she was about to freak out. Loris blinked and shook his head, "Lor gave me a list of what to get her, so all I got her was what was on that list. I have no idea how to do this parenting thing." He admitted softly. He glanced at Cora who was eating less carefully how and smiled. "I am so in love with her, Eli."


Ivie smiled, "Thank you. I try really hard." She laughed softly and watched him watch his dog. "Oh? Well I wonder who spoiled her like that. Horrible person." She teased and nibbled on her toast before hearing a crash. She jumped and looked at the door. Dawn had crashed into the door trying to get to the food. She couldn't help but laugh. "Oh my god... is... is she okay?!"

Elise looked up and puffed her cheeks out at Lori. "My mom says she still doesnt have any idea how to do that whole parenting thing." She said and finished up her breakfast and then cleaned things up while she waited for Cora to finish up. And then when she did she picked Cora up, got her hands all washed up and whisked her away for get dressed. She put her in a cute sun dress, some leggings and grabbed a floppy hat to keep the sun off of her before slipping her shoes on and sending her to play while Elise got dressed too.

Blair shrugged at Ivie asking who spoiled her and then heard the crash and looked over and couldnt stop laughing too. "Oh lord...Im sure she's fine..." He said and opened the door for dawn. He shook his head and watched her shake out her fur and run in, barking at the both of them for laughing at her. "Geeze you clumsy little dog..." Blair mumbled and went and fed her.

Loris sat at the table for a moment after they left and waited till they came back to stand. "Well I'll be. You two are the most gorgeous ladies I have ever seen. Cora that hat and that dress. Super cute. And you my dear Eli... ugh... you make everything look good." He winked and kissed both of them before going change. He put on jeans and a shirt before walking out he scooped Cora up and snuggled her up before taking Elise's hand with his free one. "Are you two ready?"

"Ready freddy!" Cora smiled.


Ivie giggled before dropping to the floor and letting Dawn eat bacon out of her hand before hugging on her. "I love you so so so much and I miss you when you aren't here. You are the best doggie I have ever known. I am glad I picked you up and have you to your daddy. I am also glad you daddy had a heart and took you home. Ugh you are a good good good girl." She said and snuggled her. "Are you ready for the beach today?!" She asked excitedly and Dawn seemed to wiggle all around. "I will take that as a yes."
