Harper and Romilly had come back from there stop at a little bakery when Romilly asked a servant if they knew where Marcus was. She had no idea why she needed to see him, but she didn't put up a fuss. The servant told her that he was in the springs and would should her to the entrance of the hall if that was okay. She agreed and turned to Harper saying they would meet up later. She watched Romilly leave and was going to go to her room when she heard a crash. Harper hurried into the kitchen to see Erorn knocked out cold on the floor. She called for a servant to help her. One of the butlers picked him up and went to his room. She told him she would take care of him from here on out and crawled into bed with him, gently humming and holding the cold towel on his wound. "What were you doing in that kitchen?" She whispered.
Erorn smiled looking up at him. He wasn't looking forward to the planning, he knew that Harper was still mad at him. "Yeah, I guess, but it's so comfy in here." he pretended to pout. He got out of the bed and walked across the hall to his room after giving Marcus a kiss. He went into the bathroom and took a shower. He returned into his room wearing a towel and opened the closet to try and figure out what he wanted to wear. He went with something casual. A silky blue shirt and some regular black pants. He kept the top two buttons on his shirt unbuttoned. He went downstairs to the kitchen to wait for the others. He sipped his coffee in anticipation of the upcoming planning and conversations about last night.
Harper was woken up to Marcus knocking on his door. Romilly was the one to get up and unlock the door. She didn't give her enough time to get dressed. So when she opened the door Harper had just dropped the dress over her head. Harper blushed from head to toes and ran out of there. Now she was dressed and ready for the day. She decided to wear a blue dress with her hair down. She decided to go to the kitchen. When she got there Erorn was drinking coffee. She made herself some before speaking, "The marriage is still on. You are still an asshole, but you are my asshole. So you ready for the day?" She asked.
Erorn knew he deserved the comment. "I can live with that if you can. It still beats the alternative." He chuckled trying to lighten the mood. "I'm about three more cups away from ready." He said before chugging down the mug full of coffee. "But I'll be there soon enough." He poured another cup and sat back down at the table.
Harper was about to say something when Marcus and Romilly walked in. Marcus wouldn't look at her and she kept her eyes on Romilly, she was embarrassed. She knew he saw something, but she was glad that he didn't say anything. "You two look like a cute couple." She asked. Romilly was wearing a light purple dress and Marcus was wearing a clean casual outfit that matched hers. Then she looked at Erorn and herself, they also matched. She inwardly groaned.
Erorn smiled up at Marcus. "Yeah, they are cute." He grinned. "So let's get these weddings planned." he said as the two sat down at the table. He wanted to get all this out of the way so they could get to living as close to a normal life as they could.
Erorn smiled at Marcus as he left. He turned to Josh and gave a mean look. "Your timing still sucks like always." He joked with him.
"What?" He asked with an innocent look on his face.
"Never mind." Erorn sighed. "Let's go out to town. Where do you wanna go?"
"Well, I haven't been to the water front in a long time."
"Sounds good. Let's go before the Prince decides to be more generous."
The two of them went and spent most of the day down at the piers of the kingdom. Josh told Erorn about the adventures he'd been on, while Erorn told Josh about the battles he was in while in the army and how he got promoted to the royal guard.
They went down to the beach. "So, what's the deal with you and the prince?" Josh asked.
"What are you talking about?" Erorn asked nervously. He could always see right through his lies.
"The way he looked like he wanted to rip my head off when I hugged you, or the way he glared at me when you offered to let me stay the night. That was the look of a possessive boyfriend."
"Okay, fine you got me. I'm his boyfriend, but you can't say anything to anyone."
"Please, who would believe me if I did? But have to admit, I'm a little jealous. My little bro landed himself a prince." He laughed as he put Erorn in a headlock and gave him a noogie.
Erorn broke free and pushed him. "Why would you be jealous? Aren't you into ladies? Wait are you saying...?"
"Yeah, I like both. I never said anything, you know how dad would react to that. And you're a fine one to talk. You never said anything either."
"Yeah I guess I didn't, but I'm strictly into men. Anyway, we should probably get back to the castle it's getting late and I'm sure they'll be serving dinner soon."
By the time they arrived back at the castle the sun was already beginning to set. They came into the castle to and they smelled the food being cooked. "Ooo, smells good in here!" Josh commented as they walked to the kitchen.
Erorn loved his brother, but he was glad to see him go back to his adventuring. He didn't want it to slip out that Erorn had told him about himself and the prince. He walked out of his room nervous as could be. He was about to get married to Harper tomorrow and even though he didn't love her, he had gotten to like her in the months time of courting her and was getting excited for the big day. He went down to the kitchen to get his coffee and breakfast like every morning and waited for the others to come down. He wondered why he was always the first one to get downstairs. "I must get better sleep, aside from the stormy nights." He said to himself. He was excited, he had one more thing he had to do for the wedding and he needed to talk to Marcus.
Marcus woke up and got dressed. Romilly told him last night that her and Harper were going to be away for most of the morning to calm her down and get the rest of what was needed. He knew they had to get married, but he didn't like the fact that they were forced. He ran a hand through his hair and headed to the kitchen. When he entered he saw Erorn and smiled. It was just him and Marcus took the opportunity to kissed the top of his head sweetly. "I love you." He said it softly. He didn't get to say it to him in a few days.
"I love you too, babe." He smiled up at him. "You're just the man I was looking for." His palms got sweaty and it was clear he was nervous. "I had something I wanted to ask you. I know you and I will never be able to get officially married. And Harper and I are having a small wedding without a lot of people present." He looked down so that he could concentrate. "I was wondering if you'd do me the honor of being my best man?" He finally looked back up at him and smiled.
Marcus let out a deep and heartfelt laugh. "I thought I already was. But it is cuter when you get all nervous and ask me." He rubbed Erorn's lips with his thumb, "The things I could do to you right now..." Marcus leaned in and whispered centimeter's away from his lips, "would have your body trembling." He leaned up and laughed softly before walking over to get him some coffee and food. He was going to tease Erorn till he couldn't take it anymore.
Erorn was already trembling with anticipation. He'd been made to wait far too long. Bitch, get your ass back here and take me right here on the table.
"You're such a tease. You keep building it up like this and it won't be nearly as good as you're hoping for." He said as he stood up and snuck up behind Marcus and whispered in his ear. "It'll be better." He went to the door to the garden, he needed to cool down a little bit or he was going to loose control.
