Name: Marcus Roy Kenyon
Nickname: Marc/Mark or Roy, his middle name
Age: Twenty-five
Personality: Marcus is a bit more cocky than the average man. He thinks highly of himself and his physical abilities, always pushing himself to be better and greater than others. To most, he comes off as a self-centered guy but, in all honesty, he cares about the rest of the group as much as he cares about himself. He hates getting to know people, afraid that he'll lose them in some way or another. Beneath his hard outward personality, he's a soft, friendly teddy-bear of a man who just wants things to be normal again. ((I realize this is horribly skimpy but I like to develop my characters a bit in roleplay? If you need more, please say so))
History: Marcus was born in New York to an Irish couple who had come over from Ireland only a year beforehand. His mother died in labor, though, and his father raised him until he was eight. Up until then, Marcus had been abused by his father emotionally and occasionally physically. He was removed from his father's care and placed with his mother's parents who lived down in Georgia. It was here that he grew up, learing to hunt and fish like the stereotypical Southern boy.
He attended high school and, though he wasn't very academically inclined, joining the football team and became the captain. He attended college at Penn State, playing on their football team and majoring as a secondary school teacher. When he was nineteen, though, he dropped out and moved back to Georgia, taking on a job at a gas station where he learned the ins and outs of vechicles. Finally, the zombie invasion/apocalypse began and he grabbed a motorcycle and left.
Who They Lost: Marcus's grandmother and grandfather were lost when they were unable to get out of their home. He discovered them the morning after it began when he rode to their house to check on them.
Likes: Motorcycles, sports, women, hunting, talking
Dislikes: Math, being picked on, cocky people (even though he's cocky himself), smart people or being outsmarted, anyone who defies what he says.
Fears:
- Snakes: When he was a boy, Marcus was nearly bitten by a Cottonmouth while playing in the woods.
- Swimming in Water: On another instance in the woods, he nearly drowned
- Lightning: Surprisingly, Marcus becomes jittery during thunderstorms and is afraid he could get struck by lightning.
Dreams:
- To Start a Family: Though his early life was a wreck, Marcus has always had the dream of raising his own kids in the right way.
- To Become a Proffesional Football Player: Even though he hasn't tried out for minor leagues, Marcus always wanted to play football professionally.
- To Simply Live a Comfortable Life: Honestly, he doesn't want much from life besides comfort, love, and peace.
Love Interest: Unknown
Weapon of Choice: Marcus is very talented at using a baseball bat. He has an old, aluminum bat that he carries with him and a hunting knife in case.
