Name: Leanna Jo Harper
Nickname: Just Leanna, anything else thrown her was usually isnât meant to be nice. She used to get Half-breed a lot, but since reaching the position of Delta other pack members have become more respectful to her face.
Age: 21
Race: Werewolf
Powers: Outside of the usual werewolf powers of enhanced senses, abilities, and shifting, Leanna also possesses a fairly rare and useful ability among werewolves of emotional control. Leanna has the ability to calm those around her when she chooses, sometimes almost to the point of lethargy, or stir up a sense of excitement or even intense focus among other pack members. For a race of supernatural with notoriously short fuses, this power is very useful when trying to keep order among the pack. Similarly, Leanna can push feelings of nervousness and fear toward their enemies to help make them panic in a fight, which is excellent for neutralizing threats.

Fears:
*Never really finding her place in the pack: While Leanna does hold a fairly high rank within the pack, having proved her strength and usefulness on many occasions, she has always felt a certain amount of isolation from the pack due to her half-breed status. Certain members of the pact have made their distaste for her genetics well known, especially since she holds the rank of delta, and though not everyone in that pack shows such animosity, Leanna has still never felt fully accepted by the pack.
*Being alone the rest of her life: Leanna is a werewolf, and sheâs not about to deny that, so having a real relationship with a human without pack connections would be insanely complicated and frowned upon. In the same stroke, Leanna is already regarded as being âtoo humanâ by many as a âdirty half-breedâ, and despite her rather high position in the pack and comparative good looks, she has encountered more than one werewolf quite vocal about their distaste for her and unwillingness to dirty their bloodlines.
*The torch sheâs holding becoming public knowledge:âŠPretty self-explanatory.
Dreams: It might sound corny, but Leanna just really wants a home, where sheâs accepted and loved and doesnât have to have her guard up all the time. Sheâs working on it, a member of a stable pack and a cozy house that she shares with her mother all point to a good start, but there are still a lot of hurtle to leap within the pack itself, and the current danger in Rose City doesnât help matters either.
Secrets: Leanna is holding a pretty big torch for Ryder, though sheâs fairly certain he doesnât notice her in any such capacity. Sheâs also equally certain that Michael would not approve even if Ryder felt the same way, so she keeps it to herself.
Personality: Leanna is reserved, but respectful to the outside world. While this is perhaps not her natural inclination, the life she has led so far has made her that way. She has a hard time trusting people, even members of her own pack on a personal level. She has a more serious personality, strong willed, but not oppressive or opinionated about it. Her smiles are rare to all except the few she is closest to, and often times keeps an emotional distance from those around her. She is however usually a very kind and accommodating person within the pack. She hates idleness and feeling useless, and can always be found doing something, whether itâs playing piano or running errands.
She is also however, very stubborn and tenacious when pursuing her goals, and is fiercely protective of those she cares for, or even those she feels are being bullied or harassed. She is also especially protective of children. Leanna does have a temper, and on rare occasions, it can be explosive. Her tendency to bottle emotion does not help this. Most see her usual lack of outward temper as a sign of meekness or natural submissiveness, when in reality itâs emotional control and bottling. Leanna learned from a young age that double standards do exist, and that as a half-breed, she had to work twice as hard not to cause trouble and to be useful to the pack as pure breeds did to have a stable place within the pack, and itâs a lesson sheâd never forgotten.
Place of Origin: Leanna herself was born on pack lands in Eastern France.
History: Leanna Harper is the Daughter of Lisa Harper, and American Veterinarian, and Joseph Robert, an Alpha of lands in Eastern France. The meeting of her parents was quite accidental, Lisa being on a young and impulsive vet exchange program in France, and her father being injured on the road due to a vampire ambush. His pack and the local coven had been at each otherâs throats for decades, and tensions had recently flared up. Lisa found Joseph bleeding on the road in wolf form, dazed, and too injured to move. If it was a dog, it was a huge one, and Lisa was obviously stunned by it when she found him, but she was a dog lover above all else. So with a whole lot of effort and a tranquilizer, Lisa made a decision that changed her life, and drove the injured 400 pound âdogâ to her clinic where she patched him up. Joseph was more than a little confused when he woke up still in wolf form in a dog kennel, but was still too weak to shift back, so allowed the pretty vet to tend his wounds, while he plotted his escape from the clinic. While the Alpha part of him resented all the petting and belly scratching, he had to admit there were worse things than being doted on by a beautiful woman, and well Joseph was French after all.
The night he attempted his escape ended with Lisa accidentally walking in on Joseph shifting out of his wolf form, and the young vet going into some understandable shock. Conflicted, Joseph knew that after sheâd seem him he needed to kill her, for the safety of the pack, but after sheâd helped him it didnât seem right. So he kidnapped her instead. The next year resulted in a pretty strained relationship between the two, as Lisa was pretty much an indentured, if well treated, servant on pack lands, acting act the pack doctor whenever one of the wolves got knocked around enough to need medical attention. Slowly but surely however, their relationship grew more amicable, and if not in love, the couple felt a deep affection for each other. Josephs first mate had died years ago, and while many looked down upon the decision, he took Lisa as his new, if unofficial, mate. Soon after, Leanna was born, and for the next few years, pack life was relatively peaceful, if a bit strained. It wasnât until Leanna was five that the real trouble began. He father, who had acted as the symbolic buffer between herself and the packsâ animosity, died supposedly from a vampire attack, and his beta, her older half-brother, stepped up as Alpha. Unlike her father, her brother Phillip did not keep a leash on the packâs behavior, and Leanna suffered from severe bullying from the pack members her own age, and verbal abuse from the adults as well. While her first shift at age nine was considered relatively early for a half-breed, she was still ridiculed within the pack for having dirty blood. Her wolf form was also smaller than the other childrenâs, and being ganged up on was a regular occurrence.
Still, Leanna did not give into their antics, and though the words and beatings hurt her deeply, she learned to internalize it, and became determined to prove them all wrong. Though she was small, she was also fast, and cunning when she wanted to be. She worked harder than any other young werewolf in the pack, and soon she could hold her own among them, even best them when she tried. That only seemed to make things worse however, as other pack members resented their children being bested by a weakling half-breed. Eventually, by the time she turned twelve, the open hostility turned into outright banishment, as Phillip decided he no longer wished to support his fatherâs plaything and half-breed. They moved out quietly, and began trying to navigate a world neither fully understood, searching out a new pack that would hopefully be less bigoted. When they came across the Moon Forest Pack, Leanna was thirteen, and her power to induce calm and influence emotions were just beginning to develop. Leanna eventually joined the pack, and though there was still some resistance due to her less than pureblood pedigree, it was still much better than the treatment they receive by their former pack. Now, at twenty one, Leanna has worked her way up to the rank of Delta, proving herself time and time again to be an asset to the pack. Though she has been a member of the pack for eight years, and is fairly well âestablishedâ within the pack, she still does not feel very secure in her position within the pack.

Anything else: Leannaâs wolf form is smaller than average, but quick and stealthy, with dark coal fur and cobalt eyes.
