Sage's most outstanding traits may be her intelligence and levelheadedness on the exterior but Sage praises herself and is more thankful for her determination and resilience when faced with a new challenge, failure, danger, and coming out from those experiences being able to still learn and persevere. She is the kind to take advantage and make the best of a failing situation, although not always optimistically. When people quit or even quit trying is when they truly fail, and it's not like Sage to submit in such a fashion.
For the most part, Sage is a kind and genuine girl with a dash of fire. It feels in her nature as well as powers to protect and care for the people she loves and those that aren't able to protect themselves, no matter the expense. She is caring, compassionate, understanding and has a strong sense of morals to the point she would take a secret to the grave. She stands her own ground and by her beliefs firmly, however, she acknowledges bending the rules is sometimes necessary. Not breaking them but bending them, accounting for loopholes. People just need to place their trust in her, and her them. And she for one would never betray or break someone's trust.
Between seeming uptight or like a total care bear, Sage is social and does know how to banter and laugh. Mostly, she's considered adaptable.

Sage possesses the ability to generate and manipulate force-fields, a ghostly blue and transparent force of energy that acts as primarily a shield. It serves as a powerful barrier able to stop any range of assaults; bullets, elemental magic, brute force, otherworldly, etc. to name a few. While this defensive use is used most often by Sage, there are other applications to her powers that she can execute.
Repelling: If timed correctly, she can repel a moving object or person giving a strong push effect.
Blocking: She can create specific force-fields to prevent things from leaving and/or entering.
Energy Construction: Can be used to propel her into the air, move objects, similar to telekinesis.
Indomitable Will: Her mind is like a force-field itself, acting as mental shield passively. She is still learning to protect others minds as well.

Sage can only speculate the origins of her powers and why. She supposed the country wanted a guardian, somebody to shield innocents from the hostile dangers out there and why not pluck the young daughter from ambitious and striving scientists. A few tests and experiments later, lead to different tests and experiments of her power to see what she could do and to what effect. However, granting Sage her powers, the lab also classed Sage as their property. To an age, this was appropriate and accepted as the norm, but when she started rebelling in her teens and wanting a true sense and taste of normality and not be a lab rat, conflicts arose. Guilt trips were pulled, firm hands landed on her and hell broke loose.
Sage was tested to save her parents, which she called as a bluff and was very wrong. Once they exceeded that line, she basically got to walk free, living with a much more compassionate staff member and away from labs. She got a sweet taste of normality then, until people started to recruit the YA.
