kind of rude don't you think? I've seen them around and if you can't be nice then just leave.

A good rule of thumb is that if you have to state that it isn't an RP, then don't post it in the Roleplay section. The reason why they garner so much hate is that they take up valuble RP space and push all of the RPs that are looking for players down and out of everyone's sight. There are alternatives, however.

Non-RP, A place to practice coding, master list, Musings, texts, graphics, etc, open for suggestions . . .

For the sake of practicing coding, try using the PM system. It does allow BBCode (the formating language used on RPG). To preview what it will look like, there is a preview button on the bottom of the page and to "save" the message just send it to yourself. As for musings, texts, and graphics, you can use Google Drive. It is almost always up and they give you 15 gigabytes of storage for free, which for pictures and texts it is a lot. I also see it commonly used by artists (I am a game programing student) and it takes them quite a few projects to fill it up the free space given to them. Another nice thing about Google Drive is that it uses your Google acount, which syncronizes with everything Google.

Game Art/Animation student here and I can vouch for what unseenshadow2 is saying Google Drive is a great place to put pictures and other documents. I actually have most of my art projects from this semester on my Drive and I hardly have any space taken up. I have also used it to store some of my more favorite characters from this site. I also usually start drafting ideas for rps in it. No it doesn't allow you to see the code but at least you have it saved and like unseenshadow2 said you can use messaging to preview how it will work.
