A couple of weeks ago, I ran across a system that lets you make your own characters and spread "God's Blessings On This Wonderful World!"

...that was bad. I'm not apologizing. Moving on.

This system is unique in that there is a cost of living mechanic baked in. What makes this even MORE unique is that this cost is payable on time of completing a mission...and living rent-free (in the horse stables) actually comes with mechanical disadvantages. This is different from paying up every in-game month or whatever in that it's non-arbitrary and enforceable by the Storyteller.

Have you tried it yet? What are your favorite builds and strategies, especially for low level? And what are your favorite running gags to really establish the proper tone?
