The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 2 authors
It'd been like this for years, ever since she was 12, when both her best friend, and first (and last) boyfriend died... because of her. Because of her curse. Before that, she didn't even know she was cursed, or that her mom was an angel of death. After she found out the truth and the died, she closed herself off from other people and pushed anyone who tried to get close to her away. Nothing has gone well for her since then, but it doesn't matter as long as everyone around her is safe.
When she entered the classroom, things got quiet. She ignored the looks everyone was giving her and sat at her desk in the back corner of the room, staring out the window at the schoolyard below.
The class started talking again, and she pretended like she didn't hear any comments about herself that they obviously wanted her to hear.
His friend gave him a weird look. "Of course it's "just like always". What did you expect? She's a stuck up freak who thinks she's better than everyone else. She won't talk to anyone, much less look at them."
He looked at his friend a bit annoyed, "Oh yeah, because I'd definitely want to talk to people who call me a freak. Get real, man. She's probably just really shy..."
His friend rolled his eyes, "You're crazy, dude, but whatever."
He kept hearing the comments from his classmates, and it just seemed to tick him off more. He was getting tired of hearing this crap everyday. Couldn't they all just get over themselves?
Shiro heard someone say, "Hey, Shiro, could I borrow your notes from yesterday?" She looked over at who spoke to see three girls staring at her with smug expressions. She didn't react to them and just look out the window again. A hand slammed on her desk, making her jump and look back at the girls. "I asked if I could borrow your notes."
"Ask someone else." she replied.
"Sorry, but I'm asking you," the two girls behind her grabbed Shiro's bag and dumped it on the floor. "Oops." and they all started laughing.
Shiro just stared at the girls, hand twitching.
The girls stopped laughing when they saw her level expression. "Look, b**ch, no one wants you here, so you should just disappear already."
I looked at Shiro. Why the heck won't she defend herself? And even if they're right about her, doing things like this is wrong.
"It's fine... They can do what they want, I... I don't really care..."
She glanced up at Aiden, then looked down, letting her hair fall in front of her face to make a wall between them.
"Ha!" the lead girl exclaimed. "See? What did we tell you, Aiden? The b**ch just blew you off! You're just wasting your time on an arrogant freak like her!" She was yelling by the end.
When I spoke, my voice was dangerously low, "I said. That's enough. Get it?"
She stuttered, "Y-y-yeah," before I let go of her and she hurried away, her friends following, giving me incredulous looks that I didn't even notice.
((you should join some other RPs, Anzu))
She heard someone start to say, "W-why you ungrateful-" before bolting from the classroom, pushing through anyone in front of her. 'Idiot! That guy's an idiot!'
(OOC: I will sometime.)
'It... It kind of looked like... she was about to cry...'
Before I knew it, my legs took me out of the classroom to follow her. When I looked down the hallway, she was already gone. "Damn... I really don't get her." I figured I may as well try to find her, after all, skipping class by yourself isn't all that fun...
"Calm down. Don't cry. Calm down."
Sure kids were mean to her, but she was fine wit that. It... It's what she wanted! If they hate she they won't get hurt... she can't accidentally kill them... But people persistent like that guy, like Aiden, make it so stupidly difficult. If he's even the slightest bit nice, it hurts more because she knows it's gonna end. Any good feelings will disappear.
"But it's okay. It's fine. I-I want him to hate me..." lie.
For the past week, she thought it had been strange. That Aiden guy's attitude had been different towards her, kind of maybe nice, so she'd been extra cold to him! So why the heck did the idiot do what he did in the classroom? Being nice only hurts her more because she'll have to hurt the other person, even if it means being cruel. Can't he just leave her alone like everyone else? Okay, from now on, no matter what he did, she wouldn't react. From this moment forward, the guy named Aiden was a nonexistence.
She nodded to herself. Now all she needed to do was calm down so she could get back to class... Or maybe she'd just go home today.
Where the heck did that girl disappear to!? I came out right after her, so why can't I find her!?
I stopped walking, and sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose as I tried to kill the anger. It was difficult. I wasn't use to getting angry or annoyed or anything, so I wasn't really sure how to handle it. I glanced to the side, and had to do a double take. I could see her through the little window of the far door leading into the auditorium. She was just sitting there, kicking her feet of the stage.
I straightened up, and opened the auditorium door, walking up towards her. Why the heck was I so annoyed? Why should I care if she wants to get bullied? Why should I care if she didn't want me to help? Why should I..?
I froze where I was, eyes widening. All thoughts and feeling of anger and annoyance towards this girl disappeared in an instance. I could see the tears glistening on her cheeks. My heart twisted in my chest. She... Shiro was crying... And I had absolutely no idea what to do.
When her eyes met his, they widened with shock and panic before she got control. She stood, staring at him with a cold gaze. What was with his expression? She didn't know, and though she herself appeared calm and collected, inside she was completely freaking out. Why was he here? What the heck did he think he was doing appearing like this? She knew he must have seen her in her moment of weakness, and that made her want to get out of there and away from him as soon as possible.
She looked past him, and walked forward, barley brushing his sleeve as she passed by him on the narrow isle way. Ignoring him and keeping a cold outward mask was difficult, but she was managing.
"Hold up!" He felt his emotions become how they were before: confuse, annoyed, and aggravated. "Why do you keep doing that, huh? You were hurt. Why do you let them do that? Why do you always try to hide?" He shook his head, actually feeling a little desperate, "And then you run away when someone tries to help you. I don't get it."
"You don't have to get it because it doesn't involve you." Ice laced her voice. She needed him to hate her, just like everyone else. "You're only being annoying. Can't you just leave me alone from now on?"
"Look, I helped you, so just tell me. Why do you LET them bully you without even TRYING to defend yourself?" He really hoped to get an answer out of her. None of this made any sense. With how vehemently she told him NOT to help her, he was 100% sure she could stand up for herself if she wanted to, so why didn't she?

"I'm the one who tried to help you, so, yeah, it does involve me."
And then, finally, he released her. Tenderly, she rubbed at her wrist were there was a slight pain from the grip he'd held. This boy was crazy with an extra dose of idiocy. "You chose to help me on your own. It has nothing to do with me..." Her voice came out weaker than before, and she could feel the mask start to break.
He went on speaking, "Look, I helped you, so just tell me. Why do you LET them bully you without ever TRYING to defend yourself?"
Her breath caught, and the glass mask shattered. "Maybe I WANT people to hate me! Did you ever think of that? For me, being hated is better than being loved!" Realized she'd just yelled that at him, her eyes widened and she looked turned her back to him. In a softer, defeated voice, she said, "Your really a bother."
She went past him successfully this time, and walked out of the auditorium, trying hard to keep back her emotions.

Aiden stood frozen as she walked away from him. As her footsteps disappeared behind the click of the auditorium door closing, he said aloud, an emotion building up in him that he didn't quite recognize, though he didn't quite recognize many of them anyways. "You... would rather be hated... than loved?" He felt some of his strength leave him and half-sat/half-leaned on the arm of one of the many auditorium seats. "...Why?" He didn't really understand her, but he knew for sure she couldn't be happy like that. The tears he saw earlier were proof enough for that.
He had a feeling that there was something deeper that was hurting her. He wanted to take away whatever was hurting her. The whole scene of her tears, coldness, and confession... that was real. Whatever mask she was wearing around... That was a lie.
She needed someone...
He turned his head to look at the door. Maybe she really hates me... That thought felt like a stab to the heart. I just don't want her to be alone... Confused and frustrated, and a little depressed, Aiden didn't return to class, but skipped, just sitting in he auditorium for the rest of the day.

She hitched her bag higher on her shoulder as it started to slip. She was halfway home, a little relieved that she hadn't had to face Aiden after what happened. She sighed, "I guess anyone would hate me after that... He probably won't do something like that again..." The image of Aiden standing up for her flashed through her mind, and a small feeling a guilt edged its way into her mind. Shiro shook her head a tad defiantly,
"No. It's his fault. If he hadn't done something unnecessary, then that never would have happened."
At least tomorrow would be a normal day.
She went to bed early that night, collecting herself and her emotions before entering back into the hell house they all called school.

"...Ow." Was his bleary reply when his mind finally leveled again. Somewhat painfully, he got up and turned off the annoyance which probably just caused a possible bruise on his shoulder, since that was where the impact was the hardest.
In a ghost like fashion, Aiden washed his face and got dressed. He was dead tired, but he had to get ready for school anyways. His parents would rip him apart if he skipped. "Why is it morning time already?" he sighed, voice sounding nothing less than exhausted.
He was draggy as he walked to school that morning, and when he arrived the first thing he heard from one of the people who were considered his friends was, "Woah, dude! What happened to you. You look like a ghost!" which he only replied to with a tired groan. His tiredness must have been getting to him, because all of his "friends", just their presence alone, seemed to be... annoying. They obviously must have felt something off about him because rather they trying to strike up a conversation with him, they were content to fall back and convers amongst themselves.
When he entered the classroom, his eyes automatically searched for the girl haunting his mind.
