Introduction
Once upon a time a young boy who was a prodigy of clockwork and toy-making built a clock tower for the king of his country. It was so high that it reached into the clouds and so large that an entire city grew inside of it as he built, and it became filled with all form of fantastic creature and all the elements of his dreams...
We are now accepting character applications
The game will begin after all character applications are accepted
Character Races:
Maj-
people with magical abilities. (These basically just look like humans.)
Dolls-
Living dolls. On average they're a few feet shorter than the Maj but appear very human-like, are very beautiful, and dress in fine clothing. Most have clockwork components to their bodies.
Sprites-
Very small, fast, impish spirits only a few inches tall who draw all over things and survive on nectar and sweets. They look like tiny elves with really long ears, and can have skin that is just about any color within the visible spectrum, even like the color of that one weird crayon that you never used...
Cards-
people who associate with one of the following suits: hearts, diamonds, spades, and clubs, These are the street gangs of the city of Leopold. (No, they aren't flat like the silly card soldiers in Alice in Wonderland. They look like "normal" people, just like the Maj do. They just have hints of "cardness" about them, usually something that makes them resemble a certain card, like having shock white skin and red hair with a heart on their forehead.)
Beasts-
Seemingly ordinary animals that wear random bits and pieces of clothing (hats, monocles, fancy dress vests and whatnot). They talk, smile, and walk around on their hind legs, and are said to have been stuffed animals once. (These are the exact approximate size and shape of whatever animal they are based off of; mice will be average mouse-sized, elephants will be average elephant-sized...Please, nothing bigger than an elephant.)
Monsters-
Monstrous yet charming, extremely varied in size and body shape, usually have things like spiral horns, mismatching body parts, extra eyes, brightly colored fur with strange patterns like polka dots, plaid or stripes etc...(think people with features resembling "imaginary friends" or "under-the-bed" monsters)
(I don't really like setting out a storyline for players to follow before the start of the game because it can be kind of limiting so instead I'll just do this...)
Aha, hello my dear friend! If you are reading this then let my tail be wagging this very instant, because if you are reading these words printed on paper in bold black letters between the covers of a book it means I have finally done it! I have published the many thinkings that have been bouncing about in my head without any place to go! They torture me so when I'm being especially thoughtful! I cant stand these moments. Being a dog, I cannot write with a pencil or pen due to the fact that paws are not dexterous enough for such things. In any case welcome to my mind I have so much to tell you, but first let me share with you a little about myself. My name is Mr. Troubadour. I am a shaggy brown mixed breed dog of the junkyard variety. I like to walk about on my hind legs like a human and I wear a dark green bowler hat on my head. Its a bit old and shabby, but I like how it sits over my ears...ahem...Now then, now that you know a little about me (as you should always know a little about an author before you read their book) I will get on with the storytelling so as not to bore you too much...
It all began about three years ago here in the place of my birth, the hidden clock tower city of Leopold. The work of the master's hand was complete and the gift that he had made for his benevolent majesty had been finished precisely on schedule. In order to commemorate the day, a festival was to be held in the square. The lanterns were lit, food was prepared, a stage was set up, and then from the strike of midnight on until the morning the sounds of music and laughter echoed throughout the tower. It was at a certain forgotten hour of the night when the musicians began to play a delightful waltz. I had been occupying myself with an engaging friend, a game of chess, and perhaps a touch too much wine when something happened to catch my eye...

saiwalo wrote:I think that was pretty rude, actually. I won't go into the many reasons why but I make it a personal rule not to play with people I perceive as rude, so I am politely withdrawing my application (not that I'm assuming it would have been accepted) and wish you luck with the game.
Edit: Oh. I've been accepted. Delete at will.
Well I for one am sad to see You go, every one dose seem like they would be fun to read, and eventually play with. I will say that I can't blame her for being Snappy at that mod, I have been RPing Online for quite some time and rarely ever see a Mod act like that. Her reaction was far more over the top than I would have gone, but I think he just said the wrong thing at the wrong time and leave that at that. But please don't be so quick to judge, Proxi is a kind person, if you still wish to leave that is up to you I wont ask anyone to comeback after saying they wish to leave. I just hope you won't let one post ruin your opinion of one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, let alone spend my life with.
Please have fun where ever you do decide to play. :)
Re: [OOC] Doll Parade
I hope I get accepted, it sounds like a whole heap of fun. :)

Re: [OOC] Doll Parade
-maybe- I was a little harsh at the time but I mean...I never asked for anyone's critique or advice especially when their advice is going to contain something like:
"Close, so close!
Ahh~ Lodnir's sad Proxidog! What a waste, what a waste Proxidog!"
If I want my advertisement to be vanilla that's my own darn business and I won't accept this sort of condescending attitude from a mod. Just because they have authority on their side doesn't mean they get to act that way.
Re: [OOC] Doll Parade
A moderator won't take something like that personally - they deal with attitude quite a bit.
While unwise, it's not a death spell.

I don't have much more to say at the moment but I do hope this covers it.

@Jakob:
Got your character and test post, they're fine rules wise but I'm still considering which characters to let into the game.
