((Yes, this book has some ideas from the book series "Shiver" by Maggie Stiefvater, or the book "Sharp Teeth" by Toby Barlow. I do not write or own the books. If you have read Shiver, see if you can make a character like one in the books, or not, doesn't matter to me.))

Police have tracked the map to a location in Boundary Woods. Three bodies were found: One human, one wolf, and one that was both.
This is how everything begins.

The scientists have taken only three bodies- Laine's was buried with a proper funeral. They study each and try to dissect them to find an answer for why one has a partial tail, crooked/out-of-place bones, growing fur, and half-wolf ears. They don't need to solve the puzzle though. Lots already know. Hunters have been hired. Can you stay alive?

Duluth, Minnesota, holds the world's greatest population of wolves, werewolves, lycans, and dissapearing humans. For years, these shifting beings run a pack of well-bred, well-kept secrets. During the winter, that is. As the tempterature rises, the wolves become humans again. And now, they are being hunted.

This is the time when humans stay humans. There are no wolves in the forest, and no chance of shifting. Months: April- August

SHIFTING
Clothes do not shift with you. Shifting is usually painful for most, unless YOU chose to be bitten. Then it is swift and easy, because this is what you wanted. If not, and you were accidentally bitten, or chosen to be bitten, then it might be a little more painful. Your stomache feels like it is twisting inside out, your bones are like they are breaking, and your whole body is hot. You gain energy, and begin to lose your human thoughts. You will probably recognize your human friends or family, but not specifically remeber their names or how you know them. It is hard to stay focused on someone or something while shifting. Your adrenaline is like burning, hot energy- you can't stop it or stay focused. Everything around you is accelerated.
Aslo, some wolves tried to move to a warmer place, like Texas, so they'll never shift. But then even a small blast of cold air can shift you.
To change back in the winter, the best way is to be thrown into a hot, hot bathtub. This can also help stop shifting, if you think you are about to change.
SAFETY
Since the wolves are now being hunted, it is preferred that the shifters come and live at Beck's house, the pack leader. Runaway from home, if you have to. He will care for everyone here. There is food, and lots of rooms you can call your own. The house backs up to the woods, and a little ways back is a shed filled with clothes, snacks, blankets, and a heater, just in case it is not safe to come to the house or you shifted to human in the woods.
Try not to get shot.
OTHER
Basically, if you are bitten by a wolf, or human (o.o), you will begin to start changing. The pack usually watches anyone they think might begin to shift. Your first few months are painful, and the shifts can be at anytime, even in the summer, and mostly invovles a lot of puking. To identify someone when they are a wolf, it is smart to know their eye color. It is the only way to truely make sure. You as a wolf and you as a human= same eyes. Sometimes, fur= hair color, but it's not always true.
Sometimes they do it for safety, help, an escape; they say it's the best drug.
But after about 15 years of shifting, you are wolf permanently. These wolves are called Omega wolves.Then you live the lifespan of a normal wolf, and die. (About 10 years) One day, you just won't shift back. You know when your day is coming, because over the years, it becomes harder and harder to shift back to human. This is why Beck is recruiting new wolves, to keep the pack going.
SUMMARY
Beck and the older, senior pack members are soon to become Omega wolves, and so they are recruiting new pack members. Particularly a new Alpha. During this, a girl that was in the pack kills herself, and reveals the three bodies that show a human shifting into a wolf. This throws scientists off and they send out hunters to kill and bring back wolves for studies. This new danger provokes the wolves to stay safe- and stay alive.
The roleplay time setting is starting on October 1st, 2010.

((Wow where have I been?! Well, I'ma clean some stuff up & we'll get rolling.))

She saw her father and Paul walk out the back, whispering between themselves as they went, serious faces plastered on. Cassie turned and tended the fire, finally getting out from a few whispering pack members that Ulrik had died, Scarlet falling behind him. Neither of their bodies were here, and they'd have to have an empty funeral in the forest.
Tired, and feeling more feverish than ever, Cassie went up the stairs to her room, and flopped on her bed, arms out. "I'd be the coolest person in the world if I slept like this.." ((XD Wake!))
The sick girl let out a breath and got comfortable, leaving on a repeat playlist of two songs: Beaches, and Heart You Hold by Bridezilla. With the calming music flooding her room, she closed her eyes and tried to sleep.

Wake had returned from disposing of Scarlet's body, hopefully at the mortuary. The EMS had come and gone before her, leaving everyone safely inside. The Alpha and his Second had cleared all the blood, and had discussed what to do. They explained to Wake that there was to be a funeral for Ulrik and Scarlet.
"I'm a little worried about it, though," Beck said. "If we go out into the woods as wolves and have it there, we'll get shot."
Paul chimed in, reassuring his friend. "It'll be short, and we'll sit vigil inside. Plus, I'm sure that the hunters are all in town, looking for wolves at the grocery store. Idiots..." he muttered, starting to shiver. "Looking at Wake, Paul said, "Let's all go inside. I've got to call John and Violet; they haven't showed up yet and I'm getting chills already."
"We'll talk then." Beck added, turning to the back porch and disappearing inside.

I heard the phone ring and grabbed it quickly. When I answered I paused before I said anything.. who was it? Oh. WhAT THE HELL? wHO CARES? "hello?" I asked impatiently. Waiting for a return answer was like waiting for a doctor to tell you if you have it, or if you don't. The latter always seems to matter much less, and as you wa it seems like you will never know. It was only seconds after I asked this question that I recieved an answer, but I still couldn't help but wonder Why?

"Yeah." I replied looking at Beck's office and sighing. "Here he is." I knocked on his door then motioned for Beck to pick up the phone. "It is John." I told him. I sat in a kitchen chair with, of course, a cup of hot coffee. Then I went to my room to sleep. I've had one hell of an afternoon.

John motioned quietly to her to sow that he understood."Beck! yes me and Violet we are fine, I took a little precaution because i thought I might have been followed so i went to my place instead. We are planning on meeting up with you guys tomorrow. I got the text. Is he really dead?" John was begining to get worried again. He gave Violet a small comforting smile, trying not to worry her that much.

I felt trapped in this world. Alone. What was my next move? Where and what would I do? For now I suppose I will have to get over Scarlet's death, Alex's disappear, and FOCUS on protecting my family. I sat on my bed and looked around. I did not want to be alone right now. So I padded to Cassie's door and listened to her breathing. Daring not to enter I sat down, leaning against the white wood. Barely able to keep my eyes open I dozed off thinking about what would happen if she woke to find me here. Would she think me a lesbian? Perhaps she would ignore it and step over my body? Whatever she thought or did I would fall to pieces. I was fragile right now. Like an old chair that can only hold itself up. I was breaking and if I finally did break, I would rather not be alone. For too many years I have pushed people away. Now all I needed was someone to put me back together. Then, they would have my eternal trust and loyalty. I was really a wolf. I gave my loyalty away too easily. Now is the time to be strong, but I cannot be strong alone.

I was sitting in the kitchen looking out of the window when I decided I wanted a change. So I grabbed my keys and headed toward the door. In the middle of a step I hesitated. What was I doing? No, I should not leave. I would make friends. I would no longer run from things I do not understand. I would embrace them. Wake was one of those things. Cassie too. I made coffee and fixed three cups. One black, one with a little sugar, and the third with both a small amount of sugar and cream. Carrying them upstairs I only spilled once on the tan carpet. When I reached the top of the stairs I saw Wake asleep at Cassie's door and I wondered what was wrong. So I hurried to my room and put down two of the mugs. I carried to Wake the black one and sat down beside her. "Wake..." I sighed. "Wake I brought you and Cassie some coffee. Is she any better? Do you know?" Her eyes opened and she looked at me harshly. Her eyes. Her eyes were more red than usual and she had been sobbing, I could tell. I cocked my head to the side and asked "Are you okay?" No answer. No movement. "Wake..." I started but her gesture interrupted me. Her small, limp arm motioned to the mug. I set it in her hands and she held it. At this moment I was content because I knew I had made a friend.

The entire time I was asleep outside Cassie's door I had been crying in my sleep. The voice said,"Wake I brought you and Cassie some coffee. Is she any better? Do you know?" I knew then that it was Annie. I slowly opened my eyes. Why was she sitting here with me? That makes me a slight bit angry. I guess my face showed that because she tilted her head and then spoke. My mind was still slow from sleep so at first her words did not make sense. "Are you okay?" As I said I could not understand her so I made no moves and did not speak. My name was spoken again against my will. "Wake..." To shut her up I slowly lifted up my sleepy arm and grasped the mug full of coffee. She seemed content with my narcissistic act, so I let the floor help my sad, tired body hold the mug so I could sleep. When I woke I remembered John and Violet "John. Violet." I said. Though my body was screaming and my coffee was cold I fell asleep once more. When I woke this time Annie was gone and I steadily rose from the floor. I then proceeded to open Cassie's door and I climbed onto the floor beside her. I tap... tap... tapped her forehead in an effort to wake the sleeping girl. "Cassie." I croaked. Then I tapped again.

Date- October 2nd, 2010
Time- 12:00pm, noon.
Weather- 37 degrees. snow is melting, sun shining, partly cloudy.
Ulrik was shot in town and died, and the rest of the pack went home, except for John and Violet who are at John's house, laying low. Scarlet had also died for mostly unknown reasons, but there was a lot of blood. Wake disposed of the body and returned. Blood is missing, and assumed dead. Beck and Paul have decided for a funeral in the woods as usual, but holding vigil inside.
Cassie's sick and is in her room, as downstairs the pack mingles by the fire, Karen fixing food for anyone hungry for lunch, or hurt as well.

Well, the weird thing is that when you abandoned it, the character did not show up in the Orphanage on the Character page. I'm not exactly a pro at being a game master, as this is my first, so you might have to re-make the character, I'm not sure.

sorry i haven't posted. i was on thanksgiving break and i didn't really do anything. im dropping out of the rp. Someone feel free to play my character if they like. I would keep rping, but i think i was to slow and i cant just skip the days or months that already happened since i posted. but if i can, please tell me so i can keep rping!

Hey Mightmare Train... Thanks for your pm. Yeah I couldn't reply to it so I thought I would reply here. I did have an Idea on how to make Blood meet the group. Was going to have him get shot and then run away from the hunters. once in the town have him change into Alex and stumble around town naked and then collapse on the steps of your pack house :p... is that okay? thought it would add a bit of drama to the whole thing...
