((Yes, this book has some ideas from the book series "Shiver" by Maggie Stiefvater, or the book "Sharp Teeth" by Toby Barlow. I do not write or own the books. If you have read Shiver, see if you can make a character like one in the books, or not, doesn't matter to me.))

Police have tracked the map to a location in Boundary Woods. Three bodies were found: One human, one wolf, and one that was both.
This is how everything begins.

The scientists have taken only three bodies- Laine's was buried with a proper funeral. They study each and try to dissect them to find an answer for why one has a partial tail, crooked/out-of-place bones, growing fur, and half-wolf ears. They don't need to solve the puzzle though. Lots already know. Hunters have been hired. Can you stay alive?

Duluth, Minnesota, holds the world's greatest population of wolves, werewolves, lycans, and dissapearing humans. For years, these shifting beings run a pack of well-bred, well-kept secrets. During the winter, that is. As the tempterature rises, the wolves become humans again. And now, they are being hunted.

This is the time when humans stay humans. There are no wolves in the forest, and no chance of shifting. Months: April- August

SHIFTING
Clothes do not shift with you. Shifting is usually painful for most, unless YOU chose to be bitten. Then it is swift and easy, because this is what you wanted. If not, and you were accidentally bitten, or chosen to be bitten, then it might be a little more painful. Your stomache feels like it is twisting inside out, your bones are like they are breaking, and your whole body is hot. You gain energy, and begin to lose your human thoughts. You will probably recognize your human friends or family, but not specifically remeber their names or how you know them. It is hard to stay focused on someone or something while shifting. Your adrenaline is like burning, hot energy- you can't stop it or stay focused. Everything around you is accelerated.
Aslo, some wolves tried to move to a warmer place, like Texas, so they'll never shift. But then even a small blast of cold air can shift you.
To change back in the winter, the best way is to be thrown into a hot, hot bathtub. This can also help stop shifting, if you think you are about to change.
SAFETY
Since the wolves are now being hunted, it is preferred that the shifters come and live at Beck's house, the pack leader. Runaway from home, if you have to. He will care for everyone here. There is food, and lots of rooms you can call your own. The house backs up to the woods, and a little ways back is a shed filled with clothes, snacks, blankets, and a heater, just in case it is not safe to come to the house or you shifted to human in the woods.
Try not to get shot.
OTHER
Basically, if you are bitten by a wolf, or human (o.o), you will begin to start changing. The pack usually watches anyone they think might begin to shift. Your first few months are painful, and the shifts can be at anytime, even in the summer, and mostly invovles a lot of puking. To identify someone when they are a wolf, it is smart to know their eye color. It is the only way to truely make sure. You as a wolf and you as a human= same eyes. Sometimes, fur= hair color, but it's not always true.
Sometimes they do it for safety, help, an escape; they say it's the best drug.
But after about 15 years of shifting, you are wolf permanently. These wolves are called Omega wolves.Then you live the lifespan of a normal wolf, and die. (About 10 years) One day, you just won't shift back. You know when your day is coming, because over the years, it becomes harder and harder to shift back to human. This is why Beck is recruiting new wolves, to keep the pack going.
SUMMARY
Beck and the older, senior pack members are soon to become Omega wolves, and so they are recruiting new pack members. Particularly a new Alpha. During this, a girl that was in the pack kills herself, and reveals the three bodies that show a human shifting into a wolf. This throws scientists off and they send out hunters to kill and bring back wolves for studies. This new danger provokes the wolves to stay safe- and stay alive.
The roleplay time setting is starting on October 1st, 2010.

I smiled and shook my head as he waled across the street "Yes. But don't you want a suit?" I called after him. I ran up to him, and looked down and my small pink strapless dress "I hate this colour!" I complained,

I laughed and looked up at him. "So... Which store is more 'your style?'" I asked him with a grin. Looking around I told him "There is a 'hippie at heart' store" I elbowed him softly and pointed. "Right up your alley..." I joked.

I laughed as she told me that there was a hippie at heart store just down the road... I poked her nose and continued over toward the men suit store but when I got there walked straight passed it into tristar... I stuck out my tongue at her and continued in through the shop, there was a womens section up stairs and mens down stairs. I went and took a pair of jean before heading up stairs to try find wake something. My chest was really starting to get on my nerves now, I must have done something really stupid to it while running through the forest. I sat down in a chair for a few seconds clutching my chest.

Alex and I fooled around until we got into the store he chose. I was looking at clothes for him when he sat down and clutched his chest. I nonchalantly walked over to him and knelt beside him. Looking around the store I asked him "Alex, are you okay?" My hand rested on top of his and I looked over at him. "Wait here I'll go get you clothes, then we will go home." I went over to the jean rack and milled through. Picking a nice pair up and a red button-down shirt it took me only four strides to get back to him. "Ready?" I asked, concerned.

((Okay, here we go, I'm back, and I've got fun plans...))

Paul had finally gotten the pack together to go into town. Most of the pack was going, which slightly bothered Beck, though he knew the snow from the night before had almost completely melted under the sun. The temperature is still low...but Paul and Ulrik are with them, they'll be fine, the Alpha reassured himself.
Beck sat in his study, paying bills and going over important documents. He couldn't concentrate; this winter was getting under his skin, literally. Beck had only shifted a few times this winter because he'd been avoiding the change. The Alpha was expecting this to be the remaining four seniors', including himself, last year. Paul and I need to find replacements soon. This pack is growing small, we need more members. I might have to go recruit.
Recruiting was a job most wolves hated; the purposeful choosing out of the crowd then biting was a forced new life style for the bitten human. That's how I was chosen...

She could feel her fever rising. From her bedroom window, she saw Paul lead Ulrik, Annie James, Scarlet, Kieth, Violet, and John. They were all wrapped up in tight slothes, keeping their body heat in as they raced for two of the pack cars, Ulrik driving one, Paul the other. She was sure the cars were blasting heat; the shifters would welcome it.
But why are they going into town? Cassie finally rolled out of bed as the members pulled out of the drive way, and she walked downstairs. Karen was cleaning the kitchen, and she could see her father in his study. Karen immediately began to worry over her, and how she looked pale. Cassie reluctantly took the medicine she offered, and grabbed a cup of cold coffee to drink.

John knocked on Becks office door and then opened it. Violet still hadn't come down from her room. he walked in and sat down in a chair. "hey, I'm waiting for violet to be ready to go to town." He said looking at Beck.

Violet threw open her door and ran down the stairs. She liked going into town, it gave her an excuse to talk tot he locals to see about the visitor on her doorstep. She smiled as she entered the main room and sat in the chair beside John.
"Hey guys, I'm ready to go," she said, looking at John.

John got up and walked towards the door. "Finally, it took you like four hours to get ready." he said jokingly. He then motioned for her to follow him. He left the safe house and entered a garage. There was an assortment of cars. Several cars were gone because the others had taken them to town for supplies. But there was a car in the corner with a big sheet covering it. the sheet had collected dust from the time it had sat there. John yanked the sheet off causing a giant dust cloud to form. When the dust settled A black Trans Am Fire Bird from the 80's was visible. John smiled, it was his baby. ....

"It's a nice car, I guess..." she said slowly.
She walked over and stod on the passenger side. "Ready to go?"

John smiled and then got in. He put the key in the ignition and turned it on. It let out a loud roar as the engine turned on. He looked at her and smiled. "Lets go" he said. Suddenly he peeled out of the garage and sped down the road. They were going really fast.

Violet stifled a gasp as he tore down the road. She reached down and turned the heat up full blast.
"How about some music?" She asked.

John was loving the music. The began to get near the city. They entered the city and john expertly manuevered through the streets at a some what high speed. When he reached the center of town with all of the supplies he stopped suddenly. He turned off the engine and got out. John was always able to withstand the cold and not change. He only changed by force when it got really really cold. But since it was just cold he was able to withstand it.

The medicine didn't work; it never did and everyone knew it. The only cure for the fever she got in every winter was to wait it out. Cassie sat down on her bed, and pulled out a book to read, her head pounding in an unbearable headache.

The Alpha let John and Violet leave, and couldn't help noticing the roaring engine of the old Fire Bird as it tore out of the driveway. Hopefully, they'd catch up with the other two cars driving in town.
Beck turned back his attention to the bills and paperwork spread across his desk. They had enough money to pay everything off, but keeping up with it was hard.
"Beck?"
It was Karen, who had poked her head around the door, a worried look on her face. "Yeah?"
She stepped in, and shut the door behind her. "Cassie's sick again, and I'm worried about her."
"You're always worried about her." Beck paused, it sounded like he didn't care for his daughter. "She gets the fever every year and is fine."
Karen sighed. "I'm sorry, I'm just trying to keep an eye on her, so you don't have to."
With that, she left, closing the door a little too hard. Beck sighed; her last words stung. He really loved Cassie, and wanted to make sure she was okay, but too much was on his mind. Soon enough, Karen would be gone, and Paul and Ulrik too. And eventually, Beck would loose himself to the woods, and be left with the hunters to outrun.

After driving a few minutes, Paul checked his rearview mirror; Ulrik was still behind him, and behind Ulrik was speeding a Fire Bird, John and Violet in the car. I thought Ulrik had them with him...? The Second Alpha thought. They've got to learn to stay with the pack. They're our future.
Finally, the three cars were out of the residential area of Duluth, and into the town where the commercial shops and stores were. Paul drove through River Street, the main road in Duluth, and followed it until the grocery store was found. Next to it was the book store, The Crooked Shelf, the Juice Shop, and a few interesting shops and clothes stores. Paul parked, Ulrik pulling in beside him and John following in the Fire Bird.
Paul shut off the car and looked back at the pack members he was driving. "You guys can go shopping, or stick with Ulrik and I, but stay close to the area; don't go too far, and stay warm." The Second Alpha swung open his door and stepped out into the cold air. It was warmer today, though, so the pack should be fine.
Everyone piled out, and Paul walked over to meet Ulrik as his car unloaded. They watched as the younger of the pack spread out, then they turned to walk to the grocery store...

After driving a few minutes, Paul checked his rearview mirror; Ulrik was still behind him, and behind Ulrik was speeding a Fire Bird, John and Violet in the car. I thought Ulrik had them with him...? The Second Alpha thought. They've got to learn to stay with the pack. They're our future.
Finally, the three cars were out of the residential area of Duluth, and into the town where the commercial shops and stores were. Paul drove through River Street, the main road in Duluth, and followed it until the grocery store was found. Next to it was the book store, The Crooked Shelf, the Juice Shop, and a few interesting shops and clothes stores. Paul parked, Ulrik pulling in beside him and John following in the Fire Bird.
Paul shut off the car and looked back at the pack members he was driving. "You guys can go shopping, or stick with Ulrik and I, but stay close to the area; don't go too far, and stay warm." The Second Alpha swung open his door and stepped out into the cold air. It was warmer today, though, so the pack should be fine.
Everyone piled out, and Paul walked over to meet Ulrik as his car unloaded. They watched as the younger of the pack spread out, then they turned to walk to the grocery store...

Violet hopped out of the car, the slight cold not bothering her in the warmth of her coat. She walked over to John and watched the others be on their way. She looked at him.
"Well, where to?" asked Violet.

John started walking down the street. " I don't know, theres a whole bunch of places we could go. " John started pointing places out. "well, down there is one of the main bar's that i play my guitar at, then theres the mall... and the salvation army store.... take your pick." He said looking at her.

"Well I don't know..." she said. "We could go to the mall and get some clothes or we could waste all our money and go to the bar. The choices are so enticing. Do you think we could do both? After all, it's not that cold out. We could stay out a while longer." She realized she was rambling and stopped, flushing slightly.

Violet hurried after John, sliding on a peice of ice and nearly falling. Recovering her balance, she followed John into the welcoming warmth of the mall. Violet stared at all the stores.
"I think I need some more drawing stuff," she said, tugging John over towards the art store. "I'm almost out of charcoal... then where do you want to go? Do you need a sweater or shirts or something...?"

John followed her to the art store." i could use a new jacket. He said nodding towards a mens clothes store.

"Okee, well we can go there afterwards," said Violet. "Then I need some..." She tapped her shin. "My boots are kind of worn. I could use a new pair." She looked at her boots. They were old and worn looking, even though they were not even a month old. She always wore down any kind of shoe really fast.
Still partially tugging on John, she browsed through the store and picked out more than she bargained for. They had a sale on brushes and pens and a sale on paint. The sketch pads were half price for only twenty dollars and the charcoal was regular price. I was lying in bed staring up at my ceiling. A Runaways poster hung above my head.
The Runaways were bad ass. . . And attractive.
My thoughts trailed off and I heard Cassie in the room beside me coughing.
She must be miserable... poor thing.
I slowly sat up and thought on the edge of my bed for a minuet. Soon I was up and walking to Cassie's room. When I arrived I knocked on the slightly open door and asked "Can I come in? Do you need anything?" She looked green and I sat beside her on the bed with hands folded. My eyes met hers. "How are you doing?"
I went into the kitchen and got her some tea. Brought it to her with some flu medication.
Went into my room.
Put everything into boxes.
Painted for the last time.
I slit my wrists outside.
Then, I saw only black.

but it was different.

Time- 12:00pm, noon.
Weather- 37 degrees. snow is melting, sun shining, partly cloudy.
Ulrik was shot in town and died, and the rest of the pack went home, except for John and Violet who are at John's house, laying low. Scarlet had also died for mostly unknown reasons, but there was a lot of blood. Wake disposed of the body and returned. Blood is missing, and assumed dead. Beck and Paul have decided for a funeral in the woods as usual, but holding vigil inside.
Cassie's sick and is in her room, as downstairs the pack mingles by the fire, Karen fixing food for anyone hungry for lunch, or hurt as well.

Well, the weird thing is that when you abandoned it, the character did not show up in the Orphanage on the Character page. I'm not exactly a pro at being a game master, as this is my first, so you might have to re-make the character, I'm not sure.

Hey Mightmare Train... Thanks for your pm. Yeah I couldn't reply to it so I thought I would reply here. I did have an Idea on how to make Blood meet the group. Was going to have him get shot and then run away from the hunters. once in the town have him change into Alex and stumble around town naked and then collapse on the steps of your pack house :p... is that okay? thought it would add a bit of drama to the whole thing...
