Introduction
There once was a regal military-police force that had been born in the flames of a chaotic universe engulfed in warfare thousands of years ago. From all walks of life, they had came forth to serve in united causes, taking on celestial crimewaves one solar system at a time, before setting up a base of operations on the secretive unnamed planet at the center of the universe, which holds the colony called Stronghaven, a base, city, and educational center for the Intergalactic Federation.
Speaking of the educational center, said center contained some of the most advanced universities around, boasting high scores and all kinds of successful beings that have gone on to make names for themselves in the cosmos.
But perhaps the most important part of all, was its Academy for future StellarShield agents, consisting of all kinds of dedicated volunteers, to gifted young alien life forms spending their adolescent days preparing to become the next intergalactic protectors of the universe.
That is until the faithful day when they had realized there was foul blood among the elites.
The Titans of the Cronos Corps were the best of the best. The big guns, AND the black ops division of StellarShield. And it was filled with traitors, who had assisted with a full frontal invasion of Stronghaven. There was even a last stand, if you could call it that, by the staff and students of the StellarShield Academy.
Entire groups of students were sent aboard small ships in a last ditch attempt to escape the destruction of the StellarShield HQ, the local city, and the Academy. Among them was group - 016X, which is the one group among the rest tasked with a special mission: The NextGuard Initiative. The NextGuard Initiative was a failsafe created in the event StellarShield were to fall, tasking any and all survivors with the task of beginning a brand new Military Police Force.
With a limited array of firearms and other such weapons, their limited extra-normal abilities, and each other, they'll have to gather all the resources they can find in the quest for justiceโฆ

EPISODE 1:
The Search For High-Denโฆ
The team is all together. They have in their possession a decent, but small ship. They are armed with their individual powers, each in possession of great and useful abilities and skills, but not to a ridiculous level. There's some supplies, and a few StellarShield standard issue weaponry, along with a small amount of Federation credits.
But those supplies will be limited.
With the badges that shall present them as NextGuard Project operatives, and the authority that comes with them (which will more often than not be none whatsoever), they'll have to get their grubby appendages on whatever they can pool together, as they search for 'High-Den,' a vast space battleship that serves also as a safehouse and space station, known only as a rumor due to the fact the ship randomly teleports throughout the universe at random to defend against invaders, the NextGuard team given only a limited amount of time to utilize the coordinates they had been provided prior to leaving Stronghavenโฆ

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 5 authors
The girl smiled at this as her eyes faded to a pale blue to reflect his aura. "Well, I like things to be just right, so the food I make usually tastes pretty good," she said hopefully reassuring him. She was good with picking out what flavors went with what, and since she followed recipes to a T, most things ended up tasting pretty good. Now, she is no chef, but she is also no stranger to the kitchen. Just as they were entering a shop, she noticed a flash of purple along with some confusion. "Hi, Ninari," she said, turning to the girl.
The lavender color that had surrounded her previously was now a darker purple. It was a beautiful color. "What's a pet?" she asked. Once her translator had done it's work, Indie bit her lip. "Well, it's sorta like..." pushing away Ninari's confusion, Indie gathered her own thoughts.
"You know some things that are not intelligent as us?" Indie asked, trying not to insult anyone. "Like a beast of some sort? It's when you tame that wild thing and make it your pet. You feed it, provide it shelter.. And it usually becomes your companion and friend," Indiela explained. "I understand this may be confusing," she continued, "Because some pets are another's food. It all depends on the person." Indie turned away from the girl, hoping she had satisfied her question and began looking at the shelves. She picked up some simple spices and then moved onto to collect some a few other odd things. When she finally was finished, she haggled a price with the owner of the shop and when they agreed, she paid from her own pocket. She explained what she got, some meat and foods from the ground. Also a lot of foods that store well like dried goods. The girl also picked out some sweet foods and alcohol.
"What next?" she asked, sliding on her glove again. She didn't feel like she would need to use her power at this point.
"Hmm... I believe we have all we need. You may go back to the ship, but I need to find a few more advanced components for my drones so that they may handle a wider array of complex functions." With that said, Artyom continued alone. In addition to getting the parts, there was still the chance of overhearing a conversation mentioning the fall of the galaxy's law enforcement. But, leaving her so suddenly and without much in the way of parting words would likely have been interpreted as impolite. "Maybe we could talk again later, if you want?" he asked Indie before actually leaving her presence.
Since they were on a mining station, it was pretty easy to find a satisfactory store that sold drone parts. While browsing one of the shelves, his hearing detected a whispered conversation just a few feet away from him.
"...but what I wanna know is, what's gonna happen now that they're gone?"
"Dunno, but whoever managed to take out StellarShield means business, and I don't think they'll keep things all neat and tidy like they were. There's trouble on the horizon, mate. We should take whatever we can and head for the outer rim of the galaxy. We'd be safer there than nearer the core."
"Hey, how do I know that this isn't some sorta hoax?"
"Would I lie to my oldest friend? Look, we've got about a week until our ship leaves. Better get packing, yeah?"
So it seemed that although there were those who somehow managed to find out about StellarShield's demise, this information had not been publicly revealed. Yet.
Probably for the better, since it would likely cause panic among the masses. Artyom quickly finished his personal errand, purchasing the parts and returning to the ship post-haste.

"For the last time, stop trying to eat my blaster!"
The good Captain Kanro was embroiled in a rather fierce scuffle between himself and a large, obese creature and several of his cohorts, who had seen through the ruse set by Kanro, and were attempting to fluster him. He had already expressed a much kinder nature upon speaking to a few merchants and friendlier folk. Kanro himself couldn't really keep up such an imposing aura about himself to such good people. This dropping of his guard was the first step to his loss.
"Ain't you scared, boy?" Sneered a lanky pink fellow with a pair of holsters which held two rifles, the likes of which he seemed to use as side-arms due to his disproportionate strength, as well as blades sticking out from his elbows. Brown marks and a gold sheen decorated it, as if they were like giant fangs he neglected to clean, especially of dried blood. Mainly red-blooded creatures.
"Yeah" Spoke a shorter one, whose body was decked out in stone muscles, and a large brow of granite, as he flashed his golden ore teeth. "Unlike the little Tridd who ran off with his brain juices leaking out of his thigh holes as any pathetic Farlusian would, we're fraggin' nuts, see? We ain't intimidated by yer 'bad boy' show, or your sappy-arse 'psychologically unstable' games. We know youse is the last of da Stellah-Sheel-daโฆ"
And he gestured towards his own plasmatic assassination knife, taking out the small heat weapon, like a stiletto switchblade, and playing with it a bit, demonstrating a few tricks, and carelessly nearly stabbing himself, muttering an 'ow!' before he tried to point it at Kanro again.
Kanro however, was quick to move. In a mere moment, the knife had been aimed at him, but the little thug's wrist would now feel a warmth. This warmth was from none other than the quasar-saber of Captain Kanroโฆ
"I suggest you step back. I don't have any superiors to answer to, so I'm allowed to take the law into my own handsโฆ" He warned sternly. Realistically however, and unknown to everyone, even his own crew, he simply would not bring himself to kill a living creature so quicklyโฆ
"You must be feelin' pretty lucky if yer thinkin' my boys are gonna let me lost a handโฆ"
"โฆ"

I'll let you take that spot, Roo. Artyom'll be in a room he commandeered for himself as a lab, I'll bet.
