Twins have always had an unexplainable connection.

But these twins are like no other.

The Carson children have been gifted with a strange connection that allows them to experience empathy and even telepathy. They are the result of an illegal marriage between two of the most powerful monsters. Their father being a Fallen and their mother a phoenix goddess, they were almost guarantied to be “special”. But because of their odd parent complex, they’ve always been hidden as humans.

That is, until Sixth Academy found out.

Now the Carson twins are being shipped off to the academy so join the others of their kind who are fullbloods instead of halfbloods. But this school isn’t really a school at all. It’s more like a survival ground. Those who make it out alive are the ones who are powerful enough and responsible enough to live amongst the humans. The only areas that are safe are the dorms, although even those are dangerous if you know how to break in. Girls and boys are never separated; they’ll even share rooms. But it doesn’t really matter since Sixth Academy is the only academy in the world where monsters can grow and find love before co-existing with the humans.

Will the twins be able to survive through the next three years of their highschool lives?
Or will they be the exceptions who never return?

Devil’s Handbook
-Fallen: Named because of their ruler, Fallen Angel Lucifer, these winged people are the second most powerful monsters. They have the most potential to become Devil Lords. Usually they are overcome with sin and are often trouble-makers. It is rare to ever find a peaceful fallen. They can choose when to make their wings visible or invisible. If their emotions become out of control, things around them start to shatter or splinter. If madness overtakes them, they die in self explosion and can create an explosion radius of two miles.

-Phoenix: Though they are the third most powerful monsters, they rarely use their abilities for harm. Like Fallen, they are winged and can make their wings appear and disappear at will. They are usually very wise or peaceful and tend to get along well with humans. Phoenix blood is powerful and has healing properties. Their wounds heal fast and they have control over flames. The highest ranking Phoenix is called a Phoenix Goddess: they are usually exceptionally more powerful, around that of a Fallen.

-Vampires: No, these vampires don’t have a list of ridiculous abilities and no, they don’t sparkle. Their favorite meal is phoenix blood because of its properties. They must have a drink at least every two days or they will wither up and begin to turn into ash. Vampires are able to compel others to do things for them and they also seem to have a way with bats, who tend to hang around them and chat. Because of their stunning appearances, they are usually fairly seductive and dark creatures who like to take advantage of humans.

-Werewolves: These wolfmen and women praise the moon almost as much as they praise the Phoenix, whom they’ve served as servants and concubines for as long as they can remember. Though they can transform into wolves whenever they want, during the full moon they are automatically turned. Although they are usually seen as vicious, they are very loyal and kind to those they love (almost like a dog, in a way). They have strong feelings of loyalty and trust, but break that trust and you’ll be in serious trouble.

-Nymphs: These beautiful creatures are mostly found with the Fallen as they are incredibly obsessed with their power and need to sin. They are fondly connected with mother nature and are often seen growing or killing plants for their own entertainment. Like Phoenixes, their murderous intents against humans are very low. Nymphs are usually very talented in the arts or just in looking beautiful in general. Be wary to trust them; lying comes natural.

-Mermaids: Cousins to the Nymphs, Mermaids are just as devious, though perhaps worse. Though they aren’t very powerful, their killing intent is very high and they often kill just for enjoyment. They have feet and legs when dry, but when water touches their skin they begin to produce a tail. Of course, they can breathe underwater and spend most of their time waiting for someone to step into the water of lakes so they can drown them. They are flesh-eaters as well as herbivores.

-Dark Sprites: Being so small, Sprites can be very hard to spot. They are experts in hide-and-seek and love to play pranks on anything moving. Dark Sprites have the ability to kill any living organism other than animals (including other monsters and humans). Though they aren’t much of a threat, they are pesky and annoying creatures. When they reach 2000, they gain the ability to transform into a regular sized person, though this only lasts for around 12 hours.

-Devil Lords: You might never run into one of these unless you’re at Sixth Academy, and even then there might not be even one. They are very rare and hard to come across. Devil Lords are monsters who have evolved from their normal forms into those of monsters with almost unlimited power. Though their killing intent is high, they are often peaceful with humans. Though most of their abilities are unknown, they are telekinetic and telepathic. Most of the few Devil Lords are either Fallen or Vampires. They are highly respected and it is considered a felony to speak out against one. Like Fallen, they have a high lust and need for sin.

-Halfbloods: If Devil Lords are uncommon, Halfbloods are near extinct. It was announced illegal for monsters to marry other types of monsters. Sexual activity between different monsters was announced fair, but if any offspring is to be produced an abortion would be preformed. Halfbloods are monsters of mixed parents and have abilities of two separate monsters. In the case of the Carson twins, they are mixes between a Fallen and a Phoenix. Depending on their genes, they are given either a mix of both monsters or one side of the monster takes over the other genes.
