Between heaven and hell, there is a planet called earth, filled with humans. In order for a human to live they are given energy and life, commonly known as a soul. But as time passes this energy slowly begins to fade, needing a new body to restore itself, some fading faster than others. The Reapers is an organization filled with the souls that could not go to heaven or hell, given the task to take the souls away from the fading people and guide them to either heaven or hell. But this energy can also give the Reapers high power, and if they can collect enough of that energy they would be more powerful then god itself. If you are discovered taking the souls for personal purposes a Reaper will be destroyed, its energy returning to Earth. Some Reapers fall in love with humans, each other, or not at all.
