Victoria sighed, standing. She raised her hand and her unique scythe appeared in her hand. Below on earth there was a rumble of thunder, showing the blonde's dislike of this. "I'll be back in a little bit," she said warily while folding her paper and putting it into her pocket.

Kain rocked back and forth in his chair, his eyes starting to close. He fell out of the chair and began to cough violently, the energy from the man earlier clearly starting to effect him. Before he knew it his eyes had closed completely and he drifted off to sleep.

He awoke no more than five minutes later, the sound of fighting in the hall giving him a headache. He had purchased a hotel room for the time being. He walked out into the hall to see a man pounding on the door of a hotel room. He was creaming profanities and ordering the women inside to open the door. Kain struggled to walk over, using the wall as support. The man noticed him and told Kain to go back to his room, then went back to punching and kicking the door. Kain grabbed the man's shoulder, only to be met with a punch to the stomach. The man started kicking the defenseless and weak Kain. He went back to pounding on the door, but started to feel something crawl up his leg. He looked down to see a massive snake wrapping itself up his body. Before he could scream Kain grabbed his throat and took the soul energy from the man, the body dropping to the ground. The snake disappeared and Kain started walking back to his room. The women from the other room opened the door to see the man laying lifeless in front of her door. She ran over and started pounding on Kain's back. Kain ignored it until she said she would call the police, to which Kain turned around and grabbed her wrists. She tried to fight as he smiled and let go not even a second later. The women ran back into her room to see complete darkness. The room then became engulfed in flames, sending her into shock. Kain appeared at the doorway, the room appearing fine. He made the illusion appear only in her mind, rather than bringing it into the real world. After absorbing her energy, he left the hotel feeling much more healthy and upbeat than when he entered.

Alter had went to his room and went back to bed, closing his eyes and finally relaxing but then he gasped, gripping the sheets lightly and got up, going back to his office and checking the names of deaths once again. Two more deaths that were no assigned where placed on the list. He felt his jaw tighten and he went to the meeting hall and closed his eyes, using his powers to control every reaper inside the organization and bring them to the hall. This took a lot of energy but this was a serious matter.

Looking at the list Serinity groaned and grabed her stuff and began to go but all of a sudden she could feel Alter bringing them all back to the break room. "Not this time Alter, I'm sorry but you are cutting into my job time." So she tries to break away from it and finally does and heads to Earth. First one on the list. 1. James Huston, 26 shot and dying.

"Great she thought. A wonderful man killed my his girlfriend great." She goes to the house and slips in everything is quite the girlfriend in the kitchen him in the living room."Who are you?"He says in a weak voice. "I'm here to help. Just relaxe and you will be in a better place in no time." She takes her special dagger and stabs in the heart. Her dagger is a special one. Anyone that is on the list and is stabbed with it goes straight to where they need to go. "She whispers to the man, "I'm sorry. But you are in a better place now." Her dagger wounds cannot be seen my mortals only by reapers. She then goes on about her list ad she begins to get more and more tired.

Victoria was in the middle of a passing when she felt Alter's presence calling. She narrowed her eyes. "You shouldn't strain yourself," she murmured and finished her work before flashing back to the headquarters. She entered the room, watching him with her head tilted. The scythe in her hands blinked out of exsistance as she stopped before him. Though he was well off being emotionless she could see something else; but maybe it was just her imagination. "Something's wrong with the list, right?" she asked, guessing almost accurately, "Something's happening to people."

Alter had a hand on his head, giving up after a while and exsusted from using a high amount of power. "Someone is eating souls....and I need to find out who is soon...before it gets out of hand." He took and seat, but still trying to hide how tired he truely was. "Which is why anyone in the building wouldn't be a suspect."

Serinity finally finished the job she comes back and hurrys to the break room. 'hopefully i didn't miss anything.' she thought. He is still in his room so thats good and he can't tell if no one lached off from his mind control. She was good and safe.

The blonde reaper looked startled. She disappeared for a moment before returning with a glass of water. She set it down beside him before sitting crosslegged in an armchair. "Eating souls? Is that even possible?"

Alter nodded slowly and just dismissed Serinity "If you can eat enough souls you can obtaun great power....and that power can be greater then god himself..." he took a sip of the water and the put it back quitely.

"But its humanly imposibble for a normal person to do that... right? So it has to be someone with our abilities?" Victoria tensed a little, trying to comprehend exactly what he was saying.

Kain walked down the street as his head began to hurt, feeling the effects of Alter's power no doubt. He shook his head and continued walking, realizing he would now have to return to Headquarters or it would become suspicious.

Kain arrived at Headquarters, walking the halls slowly for the last time. He cared not for the increase in power that came with consuming souls as truthfully, he didn't feel much of a change in his overall power. Nevertheless, it was like an addiction. He suspected what he was going through earlier was similar to withdraw, and the two souls he just consumed should last him a few days now... he hoped. He stood in front of the door to the meeting room, taking a heavy sigh and entering. "You rang, Alter?"

Victoria looked over at Kain, flushed a little, then returned her gaze back to Alter as if waiting for an answer. "Yeah, there's a problem with the list about someone consuming souls, and in my opinion it can't be any normal person," she answered him.

Alter nodded "Your right it can't be a normal person...." he looked over to Kain slightly and sensed a small bit of higher power "Have you been training?" he asked.

Alison blinked and then she was in the meeting hall looking at Alter.
" wha- oh..great..whats up? " she asked glancing at all of them.
She turned to Kain and her eyes got slightly wide..there was something about him..not like before..something off about him..like-like he had more energy.
her eyes narrowed and she glanced at Alter then back at Kain with her hand on her sword handle under her jacket.

Serinity sat up realizing that the energy was unbalanced she looked at the boy who just walked in and knew it was him. She hoped he wouldn't get in trouble because she wouldn't mind seeing him around here. "So Alter are we done here or are going to go around asking if we did it?" Serinity was annoyed at this point she hated being told what to do and when to do it. "So are we?" she says in a sarcastic tone.

Alter looked annoyed with her and just waved his hand to her "If you are not interested feel free to leave." he said, his tone cold enough to turn someone to ice.

Stands up and walks to the door, looks back at Alter."This is completely stupid. No one is going to confess infront of every one. Maybe you should have done something different or talked to us one at a time." She looks at the guy and whispers to him, "I'm not stupid." She walks back to her room and slams the door shut.

Alter rolled his eyes, " It's just a warning, if you are the one taking souls I will find you, and you will be eliminated."

Serinity becomes angry and is angry. 'that kid better watch his self.' She decides to go to earth and hit the town. She packs some clothes and shoes. And heads out. "By the way Alter if i was the one then you would have been eliminated along time ago." She then goes to earth changes into her black dress and heels with a black trench coat. Walks down the street and hits the clubs.

Victoria was watching Kain closely. She had also noticed his rise in power, though she wasn't going to make a big deal out of it now. She'd bring him aside later and work it out. Instead she took the empty glass of Alter's and refilled it.

Kain sat down and crossed his legs, resting his hands on the table. "What can I say, all those years of hunting rogues and fine tuning my abilities is finally catching up." He let out a small laugh as he spoke, appearing perfectly calm and normal. "So what's this about taking souls? Is that why you called me here, you want me to take care of it?"
