Introduction
After the exams, students will be allowed to enter Duel Academy, remotely located an in island with no other land in sight. This is where the students will hone their skills, expand their social life, and get involved in adventures beyond their understanding. Who knows? They might even save the world.
Part 1
"Admittance"
We will first stage some admittance exams, so that people know how the system works (See next session). After that, I have several storylines in mind, but I'm always open for suggestions.
System:
When cards are added to hand = [X+X cards] (Example, 5+1 cards --> 5 cards in hand plus one drawn.)
When changing life points = [XXXX -/+ XXXX = XXXX LP] (Example, 8000 - 1500 = 6500 LP)
Regarding Spells and Traps, list remaining = [X Facedowns]
Doing this after every move will keep things clear and understandable.
We duel using the real-life rules, not the anime rules.
Duels will be played out in PM’s or any other way you find easy. They will then be posted as a single, well-written story.
Character Sheet:

Age:
Appearance:
Dormitory: (Slifer Red, Ra Yellow, Obelisk Blue)
Personality:
History: (optional, you don’t need to put anything here unless you want a past that can tie into the story as a possible side or arc plotline)
Deck Theme: (The overall arch-type you’re aiming for)
Deck: (Please provide a list of all the Monster, Spell and Trap cards in your deck, 40 card limit, and no exceptions):
I know it is quite a lot of work and people have tried setting up roleplays like these before, but I'd like to try it again. And if you are a fan of the series, you will (hopefully) find it to be worth the trouble of creating a deck. Let's try to make this work, shall we?

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 5 authors
"I summon Sonic Shooter in attack mode. And I place one card facedown. That's all for now."
Hannah grinned. The facedown was obviously a trap. Good things she had one of the most fortunate hands she could possibly had gotten. "I activate Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your facedown!" she started. As she placed the card on her duel disk, the hologram of a tornado appeared, blowing the facedown card to bits. It was Sakuretsu Armor, a trap, just as she had expected. "Now, I summon my Beiige, Vanguard of Dark World in attack mode, and I activate another spell: Card Destruction. She discarded the three cards in her hand, but knew she would see them very soon again. Her opponent seemed less happy with the prospect of drawing a new hand. Now, I activate the effect of my Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World. Because he was sent to the graveyard from my hand, he is special summoned to the field!" And sure enough, the grotesque hologram of the golden demon appeared before her. "And I activate my Premature Burial to bring back Gorz the Emissary of Darkness as well." Now she had three monsters on the field. She knew she had this duel in the pocket.
"Beiige, attack his Sonic Shooter! Goldd, Gorz, attack his lifepoints!"
Green groaned as his monster was destroyed and his lifepoints decreased to only 2700. He had underestimated his opponent and there was little he could do now.
"I summon My Slate Warrior and have him destroy your Beigge. Then I place two cards facedown and end my turn."
Hannah smiled as she lost 300 lifepoints. After all, this was her final turn. "I activate Heavy Storm," she sighed. She watched as his cards, Hysteric Party and Aqua Chorus, were destroyed. She could hardly fathom why he had put those cards on the field in the first place. "Now both my monsters attack!"
The duel disks disactivated themselves. Green's lifepoints had hit zero, the duel was over. The others had hardly begun their duel, so she took her deck, put it in her pocket again, and sat down to watch the others duel.

OOC: Disregard this post - Duels are fought in the OOC thread, against a different opponent (me in this case) Sorry if I hadn't made that clear enough, I'll set up your duel...
That wasn't exactly a question in Briar's mind. He knew alot of duelists that hated going first for the sole reason of being a bit crippled at making the first move without having a chance to attack or make a play at the opponents life points. Briar's deck had no such cripple. "I'll take the first go then." He said as his duel disk came to life and he drew his first card. Soul of Fire. Guess he'd be able to make more of an impact on his first turn than he thought. "I'll summon my Volcanic Slicer in attack mode and I'll activate his effect, causing you 500 points of damage. But before I let that completely sink in, I'll also activate my Soul of Fire spell card and sacrifice my Lava Golem from my deck to the grave to inflict half of its' attack directly from your life points as well!" Briar watched as the red-clothed man flinched as he was hit with 2000 points of damage before he could even make a move. "Though you get to draw a card due to my spell's effect, I'll set two cards face down and that'll do."
Both of Briar's face down cards were traps, and he intended to inflict a little more hurt before his instructor had a chance to react. He could feel all the eyes in the arena watching on as his group began their duels. He didn't want to disappoint them. As the red-clothed duelist threw down his Pot of Greed card, Briar almost smiled. This guy was making it too easy. "I Activate my Secret Barrel trap, causing you 200 points of damage for every card in your hand and on the field, totaling 1600 for the 8 cards in your hand. But I'm still not done yet! I activate my second face down, Meteor Flare!" Briar smiled as the animation was projected before them after discarding two of his cards from his hand and his opponents life points were reduced all the way down to 2400 points. He was pleased when he heard a few gasps and some applause behind him from a few onlookers.
"I summon Fox Fire in defense mode," The Red duelist went on, "And two cards face down."
Briar drew again to glance at the only card in his hand. "I summon Royal Firestorm Guards in attack mode. And due to its' effect, my two Volcanic monsters I sent to the graveyard a second ago return to my deck. But more importantly, I also draw two cards." He drew his two cards and smiled again, "And I'll activate one now. Heavy Storm! Say goodbye to your face downs! Now attack Firestorm Guards destroy Fox Fire, and Volcanic Slicer attacks you directly. Since this duel is pretty much over, I'll throw my last card face down."
This Red duelist didn't look too pleased so far. He was down to only 600 life points left and hadn't scratched Briar. And with Briar's Spiritual Fire Art- Kurenai face down, this duel was over. As the duelist summoned his Great Angus, Briar revealed his final card and sent all 1800 attack points of his Volcanic Slicer to reduce his opponent to 0.
As his duel disk deactivated, he looked around and saw another Duelist in their group already finished. That was a bit of a surprise after the quick victory he had just won. He shrugged it off and returned to the benches next to her to await the other duelists.
The duelist in blue was by this time already quite panicky. He had never dueled against toons before and hardly knew their effects. He drew his card, placed two cards facedown and summoned his 7 Colored Fish in attack mode.
Sonny drew another card and special summoned her Toon Goblin Attack Force, as well as placing two cards facedown. She then paid a thousand lifepoints and attacked the instructor directly with both her Blue Eyes. He, however, had anticipated as much and activated his Negate Attack trap card. During his own turn he could do little more than switching 7 Colored Fish to defense position.
Sonny's relentless assault continued as she summoned her Toon Mermaid. She then paid 1500 lifepoints and attacked the instructor directly with Toon Goblin Attack Force and both Blue Eyes Toon Dragons, dealing a destructive 8300 damage to his lifepoints.
The dueling field deactivated as the instructor returned to his seat. He had never really had a chance. Sonny too left the dueling field, joining Hannah and Briar on the bench.
