Lyra watched, a little startled as someone actually dived down into the sea to aid her. Most pirates, the aggressive kind, would leave any stragglers for dead, spitting and laughing in their drunken way. She couldn't exactly help the men as they pulled her onto the deck, more or less just sagged in their grip, looking like battered wet noodle. What was left of her pirate attire was trashed and torn, exposing just her bathing suit. One of the things she had desprately clung to was her goggles, which had saved her several times during storms.

As the captain spoke to her she coughed and watery cough, then gazed at him with a pair of green eyes. "Stand? Sure, if you want me to have a heart attack and die." Lyra reached up a shaking hand and wiped her pink-streaked blonde hair from her eyes before getting a good look at the fellow. He couldn't have been much older than she, and though he looked more experienced and rough his eyes seemed to show a kind-hearted man.

"Why help me?" she asked, coughing once more, working to lock her knees under her and stand on her own. The man who was supporting her tried to stop her but she sent a glare and he slowly released her. The blonde was forced to put a hand on the railing of the ship to support some of her wait. "Why help a sick pirate when you could have spared the touble? I mean, really, you-- Ooh, your ship is niiiice."

All the seriousness seemed to drain away for the next couple of moments as she commented on the condition of the ship. It was much more extravagent than her recent. Lyra stopped blabbering after a moment, realizing she was mostly talking to herself. A moment later she had pulled out her dagger and she took a deep breath; she distant shine that had sat in her eyes disappeared and she looked around the deck once more with all seriousness.
