Kvan watched as his employer ignored formalities for a moment and acted like any of his own friends might. He chuckled softly, but only at his thought, not at her actions. He couldn't imagine what it must've been like for either of them to have gone for decades without seeing one another. His chuckling ceased and became a wan smile, one that showed he too missed his loved ones, though he could never go back without risking death or imprisonment for life, the latter being more terrifying to anyone of the Wind Nation.

When introductions came about, he bowed deeply, since he was still only a mercenary compared to the royalty before him. "It is an honor to meet you, Your Majesties. Please, do not worry about me too much. I would rather you be comfortable and not think of my presence too greatly, as I'm only a guard." He smiled larger, showing his teeth a little, before bowing again. He hoped to any of the gods that he wasn't overdoing it, but then an odd thought struck him. The princesses of his home would be the daughters-in-law of the rulers before him. Was he meeting them before the royals of his homeland?
