Adrienne was always bubbling over with excitement when a new year came around and summer came to a close. The Ravenclaw common room, in Adri’s opinion, was always better than her room at home. Sure, her parents were all nice and fantastic, but she was an only child, which meant her circle of friends were just as good as her brothers and sisters. They were a tight group, which is why they weren’t too happy when she said that she was spending her ride in a different compartment.
“ Come on, Adri, we haven’t seen you in months! Your boyfriend can wait until you’re in your robes, can’t he?” They were all standing in one of the compartments, though she was in the doorway, her cat in her arms. Her luggage was already packed in the luggage racks here, so she didn’t have to worry about it anymore.
“ I’ll come back when I change into my robes, okay?” She didn’t feel like explaining how much she had missed them, or the fact that she had managed to miss him more than them. With a few mumbled goodbyes and waves, she was on her search for Jake. No Owl had been received from him, probably her fault, but that didn’t mean that she had no intentions of at least saying hi. Problem was, where was he hiding? Adri caught her reflection in the mirror and paused for just a fraction of a second to check her appearance. Makeup and hair was all good, so was her outfit, no wrinkles in her loose fitting tee or her shorts, awesome. It didn’t hurt trying to look her best, right? Feeling good that she looked nice, she went back on her search, absentmindedly petting her cat as she went.
