Ventus stood with his back along the wall, beside the window. A part of him wanted to jump out of it and just take off somewhere, his better judgement told him otherwise. He hated the crowds, it was suffocating. He also disliked the fact he was set up with someone. While he understood his parent's desire for him to marry, but he didn't need to be guided like a dog. He calmed himself, and tried to make the best of things. Maybe she will be a suitable match, who knows, fate was a mysterious force.
He stood wearing his black suit, all button except for the top two. A dark blue tie could be seen hanging loosely around his neck. His black dress pants reach his ankles. He watched the other people from a distance, he wondered why the girls seemed to wear masks. If they were hear for their fiance, than why hide their face beneath a mask. Just than, he heard a girl singing softly somewhere, she was quite good. Since it was gentle and soft, he figured she did such a thing to relax herself, rather than for others to hear her.
He noticed a dove appear from nowhere. It danced gracefully around the room. Ventus smiled as he watched the bird. "I envy you" he said to the bird, as it came near him. "Living life so simply, so free. Truly a blessed creature." He smiled at the dove. He watched as it began to sing in tune with the girl. He closed his eyes, the music envelop his thoughts, placing him at ease. He visualized himself as the bird, just soaring above the clouds, nothing but the wind and sky. When it ceased, he was a little disappointed. However, he felt much more relaxed and ready to meet the girl he was partnered with.
He started scanning the crowd to spot the girl known as Annabelle.
