Scarlet's eyes narrowed when he said he wanted someone like her. He wanted to be able to play with his food. The idea, to her, was rather revolting. Of all the vampires here, he had to decide he wanted her? She felt the tinest hint of sympathy when his smile faded, even though it had been fake. It was probably hard for him to restrain himself, with the overwhelming smell of sparks in the room.
The vampire, Keiran, brought her wrist up to his lips, and her hand relaxed itself. She saw a flash of his fangs for a second and her heart pounded quickly, before he bit her wrist. The most odd, soothing feeling came along with his bite. Keiran's venom mised with her blood, sending a clear message to the other vampires saying she was claimed. To any other vampire the smell was obvious, but the vampire that bit her would smell no difference in her blood. It would still call to him, loud and clear. Without realizing it, she wore a calm expression.
Once he pulled away, she forced her expression to go back to seeming unimpressed. He bitterly said that he could handle her and although she didn't say anything, she knew it was probably true. Much as she might deny it.
