Alex pulled her hair into a pony tail as she got ready to hit the waves. Grabbing her Roxy wet suit top and surfboard she made it down towards the beach. She looked out to the 8ft waves smiling “Alex, you coming in or are you going to watch?” her best friend Niall asked. Smiling as pulled on her top and paddled out towards him on her board. When she reached him she straddled the board, moving her hand up in the air she slapped his head with the back of her hand “Hey you think I'm going to waste my last day of being in Australia not surfing?” she questioned, he just shook his head. “That hurts that you don't even know you best friend” she said mocking being hurt. Looking over towards some of the kids riding the waves. Letting out a sigh as she realised there wouldn't be as good waves in America as there was in Australia. “Hey, you're the only one of the surfers to make it into a decent university. Not to mention one in America” he said as he paddled out towards a wave. Shaking her head she looked down at her water proof watch, 'I've only got an hour until I need to be at the airport, might as well have one more ride.' she thought as she layed down belly first on the board and paddled out after Niall.

After spending half and hour out on the waves she said her good byes to Niall and made her way towards her apartment opposite the beach. She had a quick shower washing her hair, changing her clothes and pulling her suitcases out of the apartment as well as her surf board. When she went outside her apartment she called the taxi to take her to the airport. Within a few minutes she was putting her stuff in the back of the taxi. “Sydney airport please” she said to the driver and then they were off.
Twenty-two long hours on the plane, twenty-two long hours until she met the others Zeals that she can feel. This is going to be one long year. And with that she fell asleep.
