Songrose looked around herself as he pulled out the rest of his Pokemon. It was certainly a larger variety than was usually seen around her village. She had paused while licking one of her paws, and quickly stopped as she realized that they, too, had been watching her. Well, at least it wouldn't take too long for him to eat, and she had seen Pokemon ate pretty quickly, too. She watched them start eating curiously, unsure of whether or not she really wanted to eat it, or to try it, at least.

Had her tastes really changed, too? She had so far just been eating berries and whatever she could find that was still edible, mainly food that little kids dropped, before it started to go bad. But to eat okemon food...she wasn't entirely sure. Still, she edged forward, doing her best not to push anyone else out of the way. After all, it was their meal before it was hers; they had gotten to it first, and it was their trainer. She dipped her nose in long enough to get a small piece and backed off, dropping it to investigate it, to sniff it. She had to learn the smells, anyway. She was even more hesitant, though, to actually eat it, but she did.

Well, at least it wasn't too bad. She found her way back in again and started eating with the rest of them. She paused after a minute and looked up at the trainer. He had understood what she was saying. She hadn't really noticed in the light of food showing up, but he had accurately answered her question without much pause. She didn't eat much before she backed out again, and went back to cleaning her paws. She paused long enough to ask, "How do you understand? Most people certainly don't."
