Cain starred unblinkingly back into the Silvian's lushly colored eyes. They illuminated with her ferocity and conviction. They were like liquid emeralds that rippled like water whenever she was hurt. He could see it in her expression; the pain magnified by the fact that she felt helpless here, that she felt angry because she couldn't stop the slayings of her father and lover. She was an exception to every rule, a path that lay hidden from the sight of those that dared not tread on such paths. She was perfect.

Turning away from her, he gathered his sword, a great weapon of death in his hands and sheathed it. He then looked towards the remainder of the group that had her captured. " You three, take him and go." His black polished eyes befell Anez once again. " You, come with me." He said solemnly as he slipped past her, mantle fluttering in his wake. He would lead her up the stairs to an elevator; upon the doors parting he lifted his arm and showed her the interior. "If you want to know the answers to the riddles in your head, I suggest you step inside."

As they rode the elevator up some one-hundred and sixty stories, the panels along the walls became transparent and exposed her eyes to the slow climbing of the elevator. The creatures on the ground, the ones that she could see at first began to shrink into the distance as they rose. Buildings around them, at first very large became lesser in scale and size as the were lifted into the heavens.

"Do you know why you brought here? I mean, really know why?" He questioned, searching for a response.
