Ivan smiled as he took her hand and gently shook it. "No, woman, this is not my place. This is place of other people; but I thought it was abandoned. I linger."

Russia shook his head and sighed, his gaze seeming to drop towards the ground. "I'm alone because no one wants to be one with Russia. I don't know why, though." Twirling a piece of his white hair, gently looping it through his pale fingers, his gaze shifted upwards towards the roof. "I ask if they'd become one with me. I've asked many, but they all look fearful and appear as if they're scared."

The boy drew in a long, sharp breath. "But I'm not always alone, I have claws. I sometimes pretend they're other people. Please don't be alarmed ahead of time."

The mechanical claws the boy always had burst from his back and he shuddered as the cold metal poked at his skin. "They help me whenever I am stuck in bad situation," he stopped to take in a deep breath. "they also help me carry heavy weight, and defend me when threatened. Honestly, though, I do not necessarily like them."
