Lupe closed her eyes and made a cross over her chest in prayer for Adrian's safe passing. She then felt a disturbance in the pit of her stomach. Bellatrix. Like clockwork, anytime she got that feeling. Trix was doing something either stupid, dangerous or both. There were Strigoi everywhere so naturally it was both. With speed and stealth known only to Dhampir. Lupe navigated through the woods. She froze when she heard a noise. "Yo!" She rolled her eyes. Braddock, the DJ. "Relax, Braddock. It's Lupe." She said revealing herself. "Oh thank God, Girl, you scared me." Braddock said relaxed. "Oh yeah, Well There's Strigoi all over the place." She said watching him tense up again.Braddock slid up his glasses. "Where's your Dhampir?" She asked. "Uh, I don't know but uh, What's going on. How'd they know we'd be here. It'll be a-" He stopped when she shot him a dangerous look that read 'Don't-finish-that-sentence.' He took a deep breath. "You an Air user right?" She asked and he nodded quickly. "Okay good, Use that to protect yourself. Go find your Dhampir." She ordered and he nodded already moving backwards. "And Braddock." She said and He stopped. "Huh?"
"Be quiet. Don't let them see you." She warned and he nodded and took off.

She took a deep breath. She steeled herself for the upcoming fight. She held her stake flush against her forearm as her training dicates and made her way through the woods.

She smelled blood again and knew a Strigoi was near. She moved slowly. Hiding herself against the trees. She used the reflection from her stake to see around the corner and cursed in spanish. Wini. She was covered in blood and Trix was hugging her. There was no way Lupe would get there fast enough should Wini decide to bite her. She threw her head backwards against the tree. Why Trix? I told you I'd find a way. Why couldn't you just wait til then... Lupe thought. Blood was thick in the air. Fresh too. Wini just killed someone. That much was obvious. Lupe had to think. How was she going to save her Moroi? The odds were stacked against her right now. She had the element of surprise but Strigoi were fast. Too Fast. Trix was too close for Lupe to do anything. Now she had to choose. Bellatrix's life or her own. She sent out another prayer. She made her choice.

"Wini, Don't hurt her." Lupe said. Her hands raised, stake out for all to see. She'd told Trix once-twice before. She'd kill herself before she'd let anything happen to her. Only she hadn't knowen it'd be so soon.
