It had been five long years.
In such years, they walked alone, carried their burdens alone, suffered alone.
In such time, there had been no one else to lean on, no one else to replace the other. There was only, each other.
Since they broke up, with reasons that are not so clear after the five long years, Wes desired to see Echo more and more. When he left Morning Side Valley, Wes left up north to the city, using his qualifications to get into furthur education to gain a degree in teaching. With the degree achieved, all his hard work paid off, and was now an established lecturer who could essentially teach anyone, providing the money was good of course.
At first, the job seemed easy, as he applied what he learnt to the lesson, prepared the lessons, got to know the students, mark work, read reports, lay back and relax. However, when one of his students continually reminded him of his long lost love, Wes began to slowly deteriotate. Thankfully, it was the end of the semester, so when he finished, he packed his things away, packed his car, and took a stroll. However, that stroll would be one he would never forget. A stroll that would affect the rest of his life, perhaps even his relationship with Echo, and without Echo, he didn't know what to do anymore.
Coming home he felt different, and when he got home, he realised it was different, since when he knocked on the door, no one was in. Thankfully, by asking around, he found out where Echo was, and went into the cafe they told him about. Entering in, he simply took a seat and grabbed a menu, as he then glanced over the menu to see what he could order, waiting to be served....
