"Go back to sleep now" Spirit chided, setting the cup on the ground beside the bed. She walked over to her work area and picked up her basket, emptying the contents into her 'not yet mixed/sorted' area of her cabinet, before she put a few of her books inside, along with a few things she needed to make into different mixes, and walked out the door, and towards the bank of the creek. She began washing off some of the leaves in her basket, singing as she did "Thyme takes time to make it right. Choose what one to use. Archers Gold or Rainbow Falls, mix and mix it up. Mix with rose for a funny smell, use it lone to make you tough enough to pull me from a well." She wasn't really cleaning Thyme, but it was the only song she had. She liked to make up songs, even though her voice was mediocre at best. She was left with only Leon- who she loved, but was a bit to straight-forward, or sometimes by herself, when Leon left and she was healing someone sick. She sang about many things, but mostly her herbs, because really that was all she knew. Her mom and dad had never really cared enough to send her to school or feed her, so she learned how to grow food for herself. She was in no way dumb though, but her talents were used to grow food. Using them for medicines was a bit newer to her, but she was catching on fast. She smiled and put the last of the now-clean leaves into the basket, then immediately frowned when she heard a rustling in the bushes. She knew not to be afraid- it wasn't a gray, and it wouldn't help her to be scared if it was a bigger animal. No- she frowned because things in the woods, especially small things, liked to eat her leaves. A small bunny hopped into the clearing. That was an animal that she loved- and it really didn't bother her if it ate a little bit of the leaves. "Aww. Here little one. Did you lose your mom, your dad?" It was obviously a baby one, and she knew it must be afraid " here you go hun..." She held out a small part of a mint leaf. The bunny came over and nibbled on it, before turning back into the woods.
