Darci felt some eyes on her as people started clearing the halls. She figured it was because she was a freshman, but most of the stares happened to come from males. Mumbling very unkind things to herself, she continued to her class. When there, the teacher immediately assigned her a seat. Darci had always preferred assigned seats for classes when she didn't know someone, but sometimes it was awful. Once in seventh grade she was stuck to sit next to a scrawny, unsanitary boy who always picked his nose, cleaned his ears, and ate whatever came out of them. Talk about downright disgusting. Tyler was always there to hear her complain about seats, even though it was so frivolous.

When she took her seat near the middle of the class room, she saw a girl in a cheerleading uniform sit next to her. Darci started mentally screaming at herself for being foolish not to sign up. Reassuring herself to not go down that path again, she pushed the thoughts of jumping, tumbling, stunting, flying away. Would cheerleading ever leave her the hell alone? She guessed not.

Taking a quick glance at the girl, Darci scanned her features. The girl had dark, silky hair and tanned skin. Her Cheerio uniform seemed either too short or too small, but Darci couldn't tell on account of the girl sitting, not standing. The female was obviously pretty, but there was a look to her that made her seem...frightening. If not frightening, then possibly full of herself? Whatever it was, she had a certain look to her that made Darci want to move away from her, but she couldn't. All she could do was simply turn her attention back to the teacher and learn.
