Hikari watched them leave silently, not quite sure how to feel about the man's words. That guy, the one who called himself the 'King' was still alive. The very thought made her feel ill, it made her want to go hunt that man down and make him pay for all of the deaths that he caused, for all of the pain those people and their family's would go through. None of them deserved it, but that man deserved everything that came his way. For a good half an hour, Hikari stood on her porch, staring at nothing and lost in deep thought, and then the bird came.
It wasn't what she had been expecting, she had been ready to go climb into bed for a week and just relax, but the bird landed on her shoulder and dropped, not just one letter, but four. Kari's stomach dropped as her eyes widened. Why would they send four missions at one time? Perhaps it was for all of them, but there were only three people...she sighed and swooped down, collecting the letters and heading inside. She dropped them on the table, sat down, and started to go through them. Hikari had expected one of them to be a mission for her, and the other three would be for her parents, but that wants the case. The first mission was addressed for her, giving her information on a Mad Vampire that was causing chaos in a near by town. The pay was good but it was a week long job. The second mission was also for her, they needed someone to help take out a soon-to-be Level-E, the third mission was just random information leading up to what might be a Mad Vampire hiding in the sewers in a near by city, and the fourth mission was a simple tracking mission.
They were all for her. She stared at the letter for a long moment, unsure of what to do, and then she let out a loud sigh, and went into her room. There was no point in even trying to sleep, so instead she changed into her hunting gear and packed a bag. By the time she was ready to go the sun was just starting to rise and her parents were already up and moving around in their rooms. She didn't bother leaving a note, they would see the letters and know where she went. It would time some time by she had to finish the missions. Hikari headed out the front door.
