I stared at the face of the innocent girl and I sighed, whispering, "Poor girl. If only things weren't this way..." Looking at my rear view mirror and I noticed a stationary black car rev up and start to follow us as I pulled out of the station. I eyed the car as it kept on me like a mosquito. I breathed in and stayed calm, trying to act calm and not to try and speed up. There was obviously an agent of President Leon's cult coming after me, hearing of the news. Yet again, I saw two more black panthers pull into the lane I was in and they were on my tail. They sped up, about to slam the back of the jeep when I suddenly received the idea about using my hand to stop them.

I rolled down the window and I hung my hand near the edge of the window. I stared at the rear view mirror on the side of the Jeep then slid my fingers down to the whizzing concrete down below. In mere split-seconds, my hand turned into a rather large spike strip that touched both edges of the road. The cars swerved trying to avoid their inevitable fate, but the weight of their large SUV's kept their momentum going. Most of the tires of the black cars blew out and the agents stepped out of their cars, aiming at me with their weapons.

I floored it before they could have a shot at me, the girl or our tires. Realizing that we've have been out in the open long enough, I had to find one of the sanctuaries in Texas. I thought hard to think about the closest one, but I remember one in Austin that was considerably hidden. So I kept driving on, keeping my eye on my surroundings. There were a couple scrapes along the way but I kept the agents at bay. The more I went towards my sanctuary, the more tension I had. I stared at the green sign introducing me to the abandoned city. Surprisingly enough, there weren't any cars gone and not as many stores were broken into. Either way though, the place was a ghost town.

Taking under consideration of how durable this Jeep was, I took through the forest that was on the west side of the city. The rumbling of the car on the terrain was sure to wake my guest up, but I gritted my teeth anyway, attempting to be as soft on the peddle as possible. We finally reached the spot and I tapped her shoulder stating, "Hey, we're here."
