Ransom looked down upon the black coated wolf as he struggled with the trap. He has seen these kind of contraptions before, except last time a bear was struggling with the metallic snare. He could feel some empathy for the trapped wolf despite his newcomer status. He considered leaving him there but his leg looks damaged from the trap. So if he does try anything funny then his handicap will make it easy for him to exploit. "Alright I'll help you out if I can, but try anything and I won't hesitate to kill you." Ransom warned Drag. Nothing personal but it's been hard to trust anyone lately. So far being paranoid and cautious has served him well and he wasn't about to change now.

He noticed Rain calling after the younger wolf who was frightened by them. He can relate, he would run too from strangers like himself. "Let her go, her instincts are serving her well. After all it's hard to trust anyone that isn't your pack...well at least that's mostly true." He spoke. Ransom went to work and after some tinkering manage to find the triggering mechanism by happenstance. The trap unlocked releasing the wolf's leg. Ransom then back away in case Drag tried something.
