Well, tonight was going swimmingly. A gunman shows up, Edd gets whacked, and now she gets to sit in an alley while everyone else does shit without keeping her updated. How absolutely fantabulous. Apparently Hecate was hurt, and there hadn't been any reply from E or Delphi, so who even knew what was going on there.
"Anyone wanna fill me in on what's happening?" she said into the communicator, eyes flicking to the wall to make sure no one had come sniffing. "I mean, I get it, you're busy, but poor communication kills, so maybe spare a quick status update for the one who's not there?"
God, this had to be the worst part of being a distance fighter, she never knew what was going on unless someone told her or she had something in the field. She felt frustrated by the lack of knowledge, and her leg bounced compulsively as impatience ate away at her. She felt the need to do something, not out of worry, but to relieve this tension she got when she felt like she was being left out of the loop.
She flipped open her sketchbook, hastily drawing out something she could use to disguise herself - a dark mask with a flowing bluish mane and a purple design around its single eye hole.
How delightfully animesque. She brought the mask into being, then draped it over her face before dropping the artificial wall and darting toward the office park. She kept to the shadows, ducking behind dumpsters and into alleyways whenever she felt someone was coming. When she finally arrived at her destination she took up position behind a tree to keep out of sight, taking in the view of her "teammates" just in time to see one put an arrow through a man's head, with grand hero Trapshot stepping forward to confront the archer.
Just fan-fucking-tastic.
