Shit, this was a trap! The Monster jumped back but there was nowhere left to go. Cornered, scythes surrounding the Monster, it could do nothing except make one last move of desperation. So it did, using as much blood as it could to form a sword that jutted out from her hands and in through the enemy's middle. The scythes suddenly bound the Monster, it could no longer move. It laughed, giving nothing away. "Ha! Good luck with that! You think you're the first to try?" Haughty words from something that realized there was nothing it could do. Zero, the fool, wanted to save it. No, not it, her. The Monster relented, it went back to hiding, allowing Doll to have her body back. Her eyes returned to their startling turquoise, the red fading. She blinked, confused, afraid, and bleeding.
"Zero-" the single word she was able to get out before the cocoon closed around her, trapping Doll inside of it. She tried to wiggle free, but the cocoon was quickly closing around her and soon her face was covered. Doll felt like she was going to smother, she screamed, not wanting to die. An overwhelming feeling of tiredness overcame the human, it felt as though the life was being sucked out of her body. "I don't want to disappear," she whispered, eyes closing as there was nothing left to see.
"I don't want to die," she whispered, huddled inside of a room made of mirrors. One of the mirrors rebelled against the norm, whispering to her from its position across the room. "Come here," the reflection spoke, its words loud and sharp. It looks exactly like her, only its eyes were the same crimson color as blood. Doll stopped in front of the mirror, glancing at herself. The other reflections all seemed to watch. "Who are you?" She asked it, "I am you." It replied, "but I am stronger." It was clear that whatever it was, was trapped inside of the mirror. "Can you help me?" She whispered, her voice hoarse, Doll was fading, it started in her fingertips and toes, there was something terribly wrong with her body.
"Break the mirror," it urged. "Break the mirror and I shall lend you our power," Doll nodded, knowing what she had to do. She took a few steps back and a running start forward, slamming her shoulder into the mirror. Doll slid down, the mirror unaffected. She kicked and pounded it with her fists, but the mirror did not break. "Why... why isn't it working?" Her voice trembled, her ankles and wrists were gone now. "You're afraid!" It barked, "lose your fear! Lose yourself! Do not be afraid of me, embrace me! You will not remember it anyhow!"
Doll swallowed. She used her elbow, pounding into the mirror. Her knees came next, a fracture formed, her body was bleeding. "One more," the mirror urged, "one more blow should do it." Doll nodded, panting, and hit the mirror one last time.
A scream came from inside of the cocoon, the Monster was not done with this villain yet, it would not let the enemy take its strength. "Let. Us. Go!"
