She raised an eyebrow as Adrien asked if Charlotte was being serious. "What gave it away?" She asked lightly, taking a sip out of her beer, before smirking at Adrien's comment about his sisters having friends. Honestly, she was sure that people wondered the exact same thing about her. And actually, about most of the rebels. But that was why they were all friends.
She looked up as Adrien glanced over at her. "No, throwing up all over somebody else's house really is the sexiest thing a guy can do," she replied, letting her voice drip with sarcasm. "Or, at least, that's what some guys genuinely seem to think. I don't want anyone within a six foot radius of me if they've thrown up in the past hour. I like these shoes too much to risk ruining them," she added, grinning.
Somebody else came in, and Danielle looked up, nodding to Nick. She didn't exactly know him, but she was at least going to be civil to him. She shoved another forkful of food into her mouth, then grabbed her beer and stood up. "I better go out and make sure your sister isn't spreading too many lies," she remarked, heading out towards the two Charlottes.
In reality, Danielle just wanted to face the inevitable. Charlie was a source of conflict for Danielle, and just sitting in the kitchen, trying not to think about her, wasn't helping. She wasn't coming up with any ways to avoid it, so it was better to just face it. It was hard enough crushing on one of your best friends, but when Danielle was still in the closet, it just made it harder. She brushed herself down, tugged on the end of her skirt, and headed out to the front door.
