|| Let the Flames Begin || Paramore ||
With bated breath, they all waited for Damian's response. Would he agree to go and see his remaining family member, or would he stay here and leave that part of his life behind? Who was it that was reaching out? A mourning mother? A desperate father? A bereaved brother, a sad sister? It was anyone's guess, and no one had the right to decide but Damian himself. In the end he made his choice - he would go, but he would bring the team with him. They would all get to go visit the Sancutm Base. "Good." Mina smiled and sad back down passively, having no clear intent to do any harm here. "I'll organize the meetup in the next few days, then." She would be their guide to wherever the Sanctum Base might be. "We'll join you after we clean up here." Aria told Yui who was taking Mizu to get the movie ready.
The Oracle was quiet, wondering if Yui had anything in mind to talk about or if this was just because she needed to get out of the room in case things got intense again. It shouldn't have been a surprise - they all knew from the start that Minako's loyalties belonged to someone else. Aria's friend, yes. But an ally? That was still up for debate. "You and Aria won't let him be taken away." Mizu said with a half smile, obediently sitting in her chair for Yui to transport her. Was losing the strength of her limbs and her bladder frightening? Of course it was. Was it embarrassing needing help with everything and having to wear a diaper again? Probably. But there were more important things to worry about than one girl's dignity. "The two of you are kind of clingy, you know." A faint attempt at a tease.
Naturally they were all putting on a strong front. "They're almost afraid to show you their weak points because they don't want to worry you." Aria was just as fragile as ever, flip flopping between worthlessness and distraction like a yoyo that couldn't decide on anything. Damian seemed to have been recovered from his Ronan obsession, but once they saw the salt and pepper-haired boy again who knew if those lingering feelings would prop back up? "You shouldn't feel responsible for anyone's situation." Mizu said, looking up at Yui with some sense of fondness. "We'll end the war and have as many movie nights as we need to recover." No, she wasn't going to mention that Yui had a very short deadline regardless of if they won or lost.
They arrived to the TV room, and Mizuki nudged her phone at Yui. "This is the one I chose. It's Brave! It reminded me of you, you have the same color hair as Merida." The Oracle was glad no one really gave her a hard time for how she was before... because if someone brought attention to that, it would've been embarrassing. Just being allowed to assimilate with the team on her own was kind enough. "Hey, hey." She lowered her voice to a conspiratorial whisper. "Let's wake up early tomorrow... I'll show you how to make my cookies to surprise everyone with!" She fidgeted a little in her seat, almost as if she was shy. "Only if you want to, you don't have to..." The sickly girl almost looked like a begging puppy.
