Max smiled shyly. "Thanks, but they're nothing special. Honestly, my secret is shredded Mexican cheese." To demonstrate her genius, she picked up a fork full of cheese eggs and stretched it so the strings thinned. "You put a little in when you mix and then a little more when you're cooking them." She smiled as she explained. Then she ate the fork full of eggs followed by sipping on some of her coffee. Then she lifted her mug and explained, "This coffee is the absolute best though. It's chocolate and caramel coffee. I saw it and had to give it a shot and I think it's my go to now."
Max sighed, finishing her eggs. "Actually," She smiled softly, "I have to work all three of my jobs today. Its the one rare occurrence where I'm scheduled for all of them. Eight to ten at the clinic," She played with her cheesy eggs. "Then I have to work at the music shop from twelve to five thirty. Then I work at Chelsea's Bar over on third for the remainder of the night." She took a deep breath. Finished her eggs and nibbled on her bacon. "Well they put the bread on the table right?"
She gestured to her ankle with the half strip of bacon. "I can take a look at that if you'd like. See if it's any better. Maybe wrap it tighter if you need me to. I'm sure you can do it on your own, but distal extremities--uh that is, your feet--tend to be a little difficult to manage on you own." She finished her bacon and munched on her toast. "And I definitely wouldn't suggest heels. I have some shoes you can borrow assuming we're the same size. That way you don't have to walk to your apartment barefoot in these streets."
When she finished her food, she brought her plate into the kitchen and placed it in the sink. Then she finished her coffee and placed her mug in the sink. "Where's your apartment? You don't have to give me a specific location or anything, just a ballpark."
