Cherono cringed when Dex confirmed for him that it would, in fact, be Barynn that he hurt. Lying there on the mattress in the basement was agony. Not knowing what was happening was crushing him. Was Dex going after Jasper? Was he going after Barynn? Had he used reverse psychology and was now going after Unarelle? He had no idea. When Dex came downstairs with food and gave it to him, he shot Dex a glare before starting to eat. Part of him wanted to ask how his family and friend were doing, but he didn't want to piss Dex off any more.
