The next day Dex got up and felt something wet. He moved his hand and saw the blood. "Shit... Cherono.... wake up." He said and gently shook him before getting up and undoing the shackle. He looked over him and gently smacked his cheek. "Come on..." He growled a bit.

Cherono awoke to Dex shaking him slightly. He was about to grumble when he felt the elven man smack his cheek and he flinched a bit. Just like that, tender Dex from last night was gone and asshole Dex was back. "I'm awake," he said quickly, rubbing his eyes and pulling himself into a sitting position. He winced a bit; he felt dizzy and put a hand on his head. "I don't know what your drugs are doing to me but I don't think it's what they're supposed to be..." he mumbled groggily.

Dex shook his head, "You are bleeding." He said, a bit worried. He got him up and undressed him and the bandages. "Damn... hold on." He said and went get a pot, filled it with water and carried him off to the kitchen and started to gently clean his back. "I am going to have to get someone I know to sew one of the cuts. Fucking... going to kill him. He fucking knew better. It was bad enough I fucking let one of them punch on your like that." He growled and and tried to calm himself. "I'm sorry." He said after a while.

Cherono cringed a bit when Dex told him that he was bleeding. No wonder he was so dizzy. He let Dex take him to the kitchen to clean the cuts, frowning a bit when Dex said he would have to get someone he knew to fix the cuts. Cherono had never trusted anyone to take care of him medically except Unarelle, but he knew that suggesting her was a terrible idea. He didn't want her to know any of what was going on, nor did he want to risk Dex getting his hands on her. "You told me ahead of time that he liked to cut, though. You knew this would happen," he said in a hesitant voice after Dex apologized. "I mean...it's not your fault, of course..." It was, and he blamed Dex, but he felt guilty about putting the blame on him, especially when he seemed to be trying to take care of him.

Dex clinched his jaw and abruptly stood up before going to the bathroom and getting the bandages. He wrapped him up as tight as he could and where Cherono could breath before going it the room again and getting the sheets up. He knew what to get to get the blood out but he needed to shackle Cherono in the basement again. He set that up before going to get Cherono. He grabbed him by his wrist and dragged him down and threw him somewhat on the mattress before shackling him and walking out without a word. He was pissed and he wanted nothing more than to punch the asshole in his face. He went get the supplies and doctor before coming back and letting the doctor look at him. "You are going to need some stitches." He said and went at it. He numbed the area after cleaning it well before starting to sew. Meanwhile Dex was at the mattress cleaning it.

Cherono could tell that he'd just gone and pissed Dex off again, but it wasn't like he was entirely wrong. He winced a bit when Dex grabbed him by the wrist and he let himself be dragged down into the basement, biting his lip to keep from making any noise when he was thrown down on the mattress. He dejectedly waited there while Dex left, reluctantly letting the doctor look at him when he arrived. He was shaking a bit; he hadn't had another doctor or healer near him since he was a child and he was feeling more than a little uncomfortable with this.

When the doctor was done he wrapped him in bandages and stood before looking at him, "this is a first that Dex goes and fetches me to tend to his pets." He said before walking out and going tall to Dex before leaving. Dex was finished by the time the doctor came and paid him before grabbing a pill from on of the baggie and cutting it in half. He crushed it and put it in a protein drink before going down and handed it to him. "A protein shake for you. It will help you for work." He said before leaving and getting him an outfit. It was one of his busy shirts and some slacks. He brought it down and installed him so he could get dressed.

Cherono raised an eyebrow when the doctor commented that it was the first time Dex had asked him to tend to one of his pets. It threw him somewhat to hear that Dex had had other pets before - what had happened to them? - and it threw him to hear that Dex had never had the doctor tend to them before. Did that mean that Dex had a soft spot for him, or had none of his others been hurt the way he had been hurt? He took the shake when it was given to him and he got dressed in the clothes Dex had brought. "Can you...maybe not get a doctor next time?" he asked in a small voice. His back was killing him, hurting more than it had before the doctor had come, and he felt sick to his stomach at the very idea that some other doctor had stitched him up. To a degree, he felt more violated than he had even when Dex and his friends were hurting him.

Dex glared at him, "You want me to fucking kidnap the other doctor? I am not messing with her or her crazy finace or her damn family period. I am not letting you bleed the fuck out either. You know... you are such an ungrateful asshole." He growled and yanked him up before shoving him to go up the basement stares and when he got up himself there was a knock. He looked through the window and saw it was one of Dex's buddies. "Go to fucking work and don't fucking leave until I come." He said and shoved him towards the door. The guy that was going to be following him was the one who had punched him. Dex walked off mumbling about hating dwarfs.

Cherono raised an eyebrow when Dex said something about kidnapping the other doctor. He didn't know this other doctor, though Barynn had mentioned a healer named Lorelei who was trying to get Unarelle to be friends with her so they could work together. He winced as Dex yanked him up and he nodded reluctantly when Dex told him to go to work. He felt like shit, but left the house as told and headed for work.

Throughout the day someone brought Cherono food and checked in on him and his stitches before it was finally time to close and Dex walked in. "Let's go." Was all he said and walked out with him when he was ready and locked the door. They walked home in silence and when they got in he lead Cherono into the basement where he cleaned his wounds and wrapped him in bandages again before locking him in the shackle, going up the stairs, turning the lights off, and slamming the door shut.
