For the last few days Mallier designed lessons for all the five heroes who saved the world. Already the newly elected mayor of Min City was preparing colonization plans to help spread humanity back around the rest of the world which was no doubt waiting for them to populate once again. Erika was made to try to learn sign language, Seraphina was learning how to do pretty much anything with her left hand. To be fair, the pianist didn't have it too bad since she always was good with both hands, but she would never make pretty music again. Hearing tests were done on Rosemary to teach her how to navigate the world using sound. Alistair was given extensive practice with his wheelchair in the hopes that he'd be able to fight once again. And Maple was given practice to move about relying on sight and hearing like a normal person.
Then Khryia showed up to interrupt. "I need Erika." She said, tugging gently on Erika's arm to snap her out of her sign language learning. "Maple sent for Master." Mallier smiled at her and waved her off as she helped Maple up after she fell down onto the soft mat. "Take her, I'm sure she and Clover have a lot to talk about." Mallier said with a gentle smile, allowing them permission to go. Erika was confused until Khryia took her out of the room, noticing something strange. What was wrong with her? Something definitely felt wrong. Erika mouthed, asking if Khryia was okay after tugging on her sleeve. The dragon glanced at her and frowned, tail twisting uncomfortably behind her. She looked so unhappy, clearly something was wrong. Erika mouthed that she wanted Khryia to be okay.
"I am okay. Nothing is wrong, promise!" Erika nodded dubiously, not entirely buying it but not having the energy to ask further either. She didn't notice the huge gashes all over Khryia's body as she tried to claw off all the scales and sliced off layers of skin off of her belly glue over the once-scaled areas, trying to make the skin grow over it. Naturally, this wasn't how healing worked but the dragon didn't know these things. How could she, right? Even her tail had gashes that were hidden by the tail sleeve Eamon had sewed for her yesterday at her request so that she could hide her wounds with. "Here you go, Master!" She pushed Master into Clover's room, closing it shut behind her so she could keep clawing at her scales.
Erika mouthed words of sadness and pain at Clover, eyes watering at the kitten's condition. She mouthed that she wished she could play the flute for her again to take Clover to another world where none of their pains and sorrows existed. Neither of them could do anything anymore, they were all useless, weren't they? 'I need you.' She mouthed, clinging desperately to Clover as if letting go would cause the white cat to disappear. 'I love you.' She nuzzled against Clover and turned her head up so they had eye contact. 'I can't hear your cute voice anymore.' She mouthed, eyes dripping again. 'I'm sorry for everything, my love.'
