Elizabeth nodded when Talila pointed out that metal came from the earth. She listened curiously while she explained how it worked to be chosen by a tree, nodding a bit. "That's not explained horribly. It makes sense," she said softly. "It's similar with swords. You can try a dozen swords and they're just not right, but then you find the right sword and it just... feels so right. It fits perfectly in your hand, the swing is exactly what you like, the weight is ideal... and you might think you picked the sword, but the sword was really the one who spoke to you," she said. "Maybe one of your trees will pick me to be its friend."
