Viv set down a plate of pancakes in front of Georgie, then set one beside her and made her way around the bar to sit on the same side as Georgie. She listened to Georgieβs plans, even when she started talking about Hayley. It hurt, listening to her talk about dinner plans with Hayley and how much she liked her. Viv kept the hurt to herself, focusing on eating the pancakes in front of her to stop from saying anything that could end badly. The was a knock at the door, interrupting Vivβs words. She ran a hand through her hair to tame some of the mess, and went to answer the door. Surprisingly, the very person she had just mentioned was at her door. βI thought you had a shift at the restaurant, Ray,β Viv grumbled, folding her arms over her chest as she leaned on the door frame. She glanced over to Georgie for a moment, then back at him before sighing loudly at him. She grabbed her coat, turning to Georgie completely this time. βHey G, Iβll be out, okay? Donβt stay out too late with Hayley, if thatβs what you decide,β Viv calls to her roommate, a glimmer of her normal smile showing before she left with Ray.
