Att had just gotten to his feet and caught his breath when BludWynd suddenly began hysterically screaming about something. Att frowned and glanced at him, before glancing at Malfyre, figuring she had to be involved. Her plan seemed to have worked, though, as his attention was on her as she spoke, telling him and Gemini to stop fighting.
And then something crashed into him, hurling him against the wall. He just had enough time to see Gemini’s face, still furious, before he was pulled to the ground, with Gemini’s knee on his chest. Att knew he had a knife in his pocket, but it was out of reach with the way Gemini had him pinned to the ground, throwing punches the whole time. When Gemini glanced towards Piper, Atticus took the distraction to shove him away from him and managed to get in a punch of his own. He was halfway to getting Gemini off of him, when he seemed to snap out of it and shove Att back to the ground.
It was over as quickly as it had started, Gemini’s female counterpart suddenly taking over and releasing Att, even having the courtesy to help him to dry off. He folded his arms as BludWynd made yet another impassioned speech, telling them they didn’t need to be further divided and needed to work together. As far as Att was concerned, Gemini had started the whole thing.
He’d hoped Piper might be on his side. He seemed to be wrong. He met her look with a cold stare of his own. Tired of speeches about how they needed to work together, he sighed.
“Okay, standing around talking is all well and good, but now we’ve agreed to-” He had to stop himself from making a sarcastic comment, knowing that if there was another fight, Piper might just walk out and leave them to it. “Now we’re all on the same page, we need to have a plan. We don’t have time. Based on my vision, we have a day, absolute outside, to save Red Witch, and I’m guessing not much more to save Paladin and Artemis. So what are we going to do?”
