True Blood Role Play

True Blood is an American television show.

In the world of True Blood, vampires have recently come out of the coffin due to the creation of synthetic blood by the Japanese called TruBlood. Humans around the world are uneasy about creatures of horror stories being real and even demanding rights that the humans themselves enjoy. It also raises the question about what else is out there but just isn't in the light. The only thing that is certain is that the modern world is in for a struggle when it comes to dealing with the supernatural.

Setting

Smack in the middle of the Midwest is a town called Greenville. It is located in the great state of Illinois. It isn't known for anything at all. There's enough room in the town for people to keep to themselves. But with the possibility of vampires living among them, the good people of Greenville aren't exactly sure about the sanctity of their home anymore.

Places of Interest:
- Greenville Mall: The shopping paradise for the entire town. All the major retailers can be found here.
- The Lake: A very popular spot amongst the younger members of Greenville, there is always some kind of party going on along it's shores.
- The Strip: It's honestly the worst part of town. Cops don't even go there unless called and even then they are still reluctant as ever to go. Bloody Mary is located in the area.
- Downtown: It has all the important places a person can need; the bank, the hospital, and a recently built blood bank.

Races

Races: Humans, Vampires, Shifters, Weres, Changelings, Faeries
- Humans: They are the most common race in the world. They are fruitful in numbers and hold a sort of monopoly over how well vampires can assimilate into their society. Their greatest weapon against them is sunlight. Human beings are very versatile.
- Vampires: The newest race to be introduced to the public, they are dark powerful creatures. Old ones can change shape and some even fly. Experienced vampires are capable of glamoring humans. Despite having TruBlood, there are some who resent being outed and want nothing more than to live as they once did. Every race does have a better side though which is reflected by the ones who make a effort to ease into human society. A few vampires have even became political, starting groups such as the American Vampire League. They are also allowed to run businesses and it is illegal to kill them. In some states, it is legal to marry one however.
- Shifters: Not much is known about the shifter race. They appear to be human but they have the ability to change into any animal they desire as long as they have a model nearby to base their transformation off of. They are not known to the public.
- Weres: Races who appear human at certain times but take full animal forms during the next. They are not known to the public.
- Changeling: The changeling race is capable of changing their form just by touching a person's DNA including skin, hair, etc. They can hold the transformation for one day. But they have to wait another day to change into the form once more.The transformation is very messy; they shed their outer layer of skin, which then turns very acidic and will melt the clothes off of their backs. There is always a pile of hair and other unmentionables left behind.
- Faeries: The faerie race are dependent on the moonlight to survive. They use their magic to hide their eccentric features and the glow they emit when the moonlight touches them from the humans. They cannot hide their true forms from other supernaturals. Faeries can detect lies and have unnaturally colored features such as eyes.

There is no telling what else is out there...

Things to Know

TruBlood: The drink of choice for conservative vampires looking to take the edge off their hunger. It tastes horrible but it is available at almost every convenience store.
V: Vampire blood that is being taken as a stimulant. It's effects are but not restricted to enhanced senses, visions, and accelerated healing. It is highly addictive and is very lethal in large amounts.
Fangbanger: The name practically says it all. A fangbanger is a person who, openly or not, associates intimately with a member of the vampire race.
Vampire Districts: There are five vampire districts. Each one has a sheriff that holds up the rules set up by the tribunal.
Fellowship of The Sun: A religious group that is anti-vampire. They have been working their way into the political world. The former leader and his family were possibly murdered by vampires.
Turning: In order for a human to become a vampire, there must be sharing of the blood. Then the victim must be buried underground for a day's time for the transformation to be complete.
Tribunal: The vampire court. All vampire law breakers are taken to them to receive punishments.
Silver: The metal severely weakens a vampire no matter the amount.
Hepatitis D: A disease found in the bloodstream that has no affect on humans. But when exposed to a vampire, it an paralyze them for up to months at a time.

Note: Those who are not vampires do not commonly know about the districts, tribunal, or ways to kill a vampire.

Rules

2. You do not have to watch the show to join. Please, PM me if there are any questions.
3. No graphic sexual scenes. You know where to take that.
4. Keep the cursing to a low.
5. You can make a new race. Just remember to send me a PM explaining what that race is.
6. Do not disappear. If you do, I will take the liberty of coming up with a way that your character dies.
7. Grammar and punctuation should be your strong points.
8. At least three paragraphs to a post. Let's not be lazy.
9. Please refrain from mentioning specific details of the plot of True Blood in this thread. No spoilers!

Personality:
Calm, cool, and organised. When the wolf is loose he is the embodiment of all things primal and acts solely on instict.

Physical Description:
Brian is a average height man. He is extremely thin and his bones are almost visible through his skin. Brian's face is usually clean shaven and his hair is a short, spikey dark brown. Brian also has deep blue eyes and on his right arm is a tattoo of a werewolf's head and along his back are three long scars.

Personality:

History:
Brian was still in the womb, ready to meet the world, when his mother was attacked by a werewolf as she was trying to get to the hospital. Mrs. Westham died after giving birth to Brian due to extreme haemorrhaging.
At the age of sixteen Brian often took severe pains in his back and head, and eventually at seventeen he took his first transformation into a werewolf.
Now, at the age of 25, Brian is still learning to control the beast within. He has tried to keep a low profile by working at a small cafe in the food court of Greenville mall.

Personality: Lincoln tends to keep to himself, his race plays a big part in that. He is stand-offish and doesn't make friends. He believes humanity isn't ready to learn of the "things that go bump", but supports the vampire rights in his "human" form.

Physical Description: Lincoln's true from is human. 6'2 with an athletic build, short buzzed hair and stubbly facial hair.

History: Lincoln was born in 1889 to a human father and changeling mother. Worried what the union would breed, Lincoln's mother wanted to put him down. She revealed herself to her husband, in turn he shot her dead for being "a child of satan." Unable to repeat the act with his son, Lincoln's father choose not to tell him about his...difference. Never owning a pet, and moving to the city so Lincoln wouldn't come into contact with many animals, and therefore would never accidentally change.

Both learned on Lincoln's 18th birthday of what he truley was. Coming home from work Lincoln's father was confronted by a mirror image of himself. Lincoln had accidentally used the same comb that contained a few fibers of his father's hair, sending him into a brutal transformation. In a struggle, Lincoln killed his father and fled the area. He spent the next several years knocking over small banks and other small business' for cash.

Recentally Lincoln moved to Greenville in the guise of a security guard. Deciding he liked the small town, he killed off his first security guard guise in favor of his true form so he could stay a security guard for as long as he liked and work as man days as he likes. He still enjoys playing tricks on the locals, but as of now makes an honest living. The murmor of vampires doesn't frighten him since he has a few vampire guises he can wear to escape any...problems.

Personality: Kylan is very energetic and likes to have fun, though he can get moody at times. He falls for people fast and he is what some would call a helpless romance, which can turn him into a drama queen and very sad very fast. Hes also very driven and isn't scared of that many things. Besides religion which scares him a lot.

Physical Description: Kylan is at an average height for his age begin at 5'7" and weighting about 120 pounds of nothing more then bone skin, and insides. He barley has any fat and any muscle at all. He has short dark brown hair, and light brown skin, and light brown eyes.

History: Kylan lives with his mother, who pretty much doesn't really care what he does with his life. They are close though when he came out to her she shunned him away from him a while and blamed it on the Devil. This made Kylan question religion some like Neopagan and Hindu though Christianity and what they do to vampires saddens him. He stands for Vampire rights, and think it shouldn't matter if you are allergic to the sun or not everyone deserves to be happy. Kylan likes to snoop around town also interrogate others, and jot down what they say in a journal he takes with him everywhere.

Personality: Nadia keeps to herself a lot, which is probably the main reason she doesn't really have friends. She is a very up beat girl if you do get to talk to her and is also extremely curious. Nothing can get in her way if she's trying to figure something out. Religion plays a big part in her life (she is christian) but, unlike some, she doesn't think that vampires are evil.

Physical Description: Nadia stands at 5'2" with a slim build. She has black, curly hair (it's originally red) and blue/grey eyes. She is also very pale.

History: Nadia had very wealthy parents, but they were also very busy. They rarely had time with her on account of their business trips and vacations so she was normally left with a nanny. At age 9 they decided that she was too much trouble and sent her to live with her grandmother in Illinois, thinking that since she had nothing better to do it should be no problem raising a girl. She has been very happy ever since. Her grandmother is a very caring and open woman and gives Nadia a lot of freedom to do as she wishes.

Physical Description:
Just a little taller than your average 19 year old girl, she stands at 5'4". She used to take dance classes when she was younger, and the muscle she built then still likes to stick around. What she wears depends on her mood, including her piercings. Sometimes she's seen without them, and wearing something quite innocent. While other times she's scantily clad with studs almost everywhere. Lately though she's found better ways of expressing herself, so the piercings are rarely seen. It'd be useful to note that she's certainly filled out a lot in the past few years - most girls are jealous of her figure.

Personality:
Fletcher is a socialite, hardly ever experiencing a dull moment in her life. She is selfish, fussy and sometimes a bit of a snob. The only person that matters to her is herself, and most of her friends know that fact all too well. Deep down... deep down there is a girl desperate for someone to realize that she needs more than just popularity and partying to be happy, but those around her are far too self-absorbed to notice.

History:
Once the perfect daughter, Fletcher grew up in a loving family with parents that really cared for her. Her mother and father never missed a dance recital - nothing was more important than their children. But when her older brother was murdered several years ago that all changed.

Apparently the sight was so horrifying that the officers who discovered the body immediately retired, scarred for life. Her parents became strong supporters of Fellowship of The Sun, believing that the murderer was a vampire. In their eyes no human could commit such a crime.

Fletcher began to see less and less of them. They always forgot to pick her up from practice, and even left her home alone for hours at an end without any good reason. To her they were completely different people, definitely not the devoted mother and father she had known before. They just didn't care anymore.

So in order to amuse herself, she began to disobey them in any way possible. Constantly sneaking out, not showing up to school, being seen with a different boy every day or so... anything for attention. It never worked though, but that type of behavior became a habit, one that she thoroughly enjoyed. She dropped out of school, got a job at a music store in the mall and lived how she wanted too.

Of a nighttime Fletcher and her group usually frequented the Lake, before fooling around the Strip. It was a great place to ditch anyone that tried to tag along with them. Life was just a game to her, and at the moment she believed that she was winning with ease.

Physical Description: Alexis is mostly all legs, standing at 5'8. Her long golden hair falls a few inches below her shoulders, and her bright blue eyes are just enough for anyone to give her a second look. She has a slender, athletic build, but is curvy in all the right places. Obviously, her skin tone is pale, considering it hasn't seen the light of day since she was turned.

Personality: This woman is not your bright and beautiful ray of sunshine, no pun intended. Alexis isn't one to joke around, though her sense of humor is unsurprisingly very dark, dry, and sarcastic. Sometimes you might think she's making a joke, but most likely she's being completely honest, and mocking you. She calls things as she sees them and won't waste her time with you if she considers you useless. While she does have this hard exterior, there are very few that can break passed it. As cold and heartless as she may seem, Alexis is extremely loyal to those she trusts, and she's the kind of companion you want to have on your side when things get rough. Which always happens in the supernatural world.

History: You'll never hear Alexis talk about her past or what her life was like before she was turned. She grew up in a small farm house with her mother and four older sisters. Once at a right age, their mother would arrange marriages for the girls. Back then, women didn't get much of a say, they needed to honor their family. And most didn't care anyway, as long as they were marrying into money. But Alexis was already in love with another man, one of the stablemen who work on her family's farm. They dreamed and planned of running away together, and they knew their time was short.

So, the night before Alexis was to be wed to the Mayor, she slipped out of the house in hopes of running away with him. But once she arrived their meeting place, he wasn't there. In his place was another strange man. Tall, mysterious, and handsome. At first she thought that they'd been caught, but it wasn't until he came closer that she realized there was something different about him. Her instincts were telling her to run, but she just couldn't bring herself to move, as if he'd put her under some sort of spell. And that was the night she lost her mortality.

Physical Description: Years of dancing have kept Alyssa's 5'3" frame in shape. While there is not an ounce of extra fat on the girl's lithe body, she has developed curves in all the right places as she has matured. Lyssa has bright, sparkling aqua colored eyes. Her eyes are her most striking feature, the rare green-blue hue often causing people to stare. Her facial features are very soft, and her skin is flawless with a slight golden glow. Chestnut colored hair falls in waves, the longest point reaching her mid back. Her bangs are angled, with more on the right side than on the left.

Personality: Lyssa has a tendency to be shy. It is more likely that one would find her people watching from a distance than jumping into the fray. She enjoys examining people and finding out what makes them tick. Her sheltered upbringing has caused her to be more on the reserved side, but as she grows older she finds herself yearning for adventure, thought she is tentative about taking those first steps towards it. Lys is naive and far too trustworthy for her own good. It is those traits that makes people more inclined to protecting the fragile seeming girl.

History: Alyssa Mills was born into a very blessed life in the town of Greenville. She has both a mother and a father who love her very much. As far as money is concerned, she has been able to live comfortably all of her life. While she has never gotten anything too extravagant, she has also never been left wanting for anything, either.

Lyssa has always been a very well behaved, polite, mild-mannered young lady. She is not one to speak out of turn or offend anyone. This is simply the way she was raised. The one thing her family was very strict on while she was growing up was manners. Manners, and never to stray out of eyesight.

While Lyssa was in the womb, her brother Lucas was kidnapped while playing in the yard. Because of that, Alyssa's parents were always overprotective of her. They believed if they kept her close she would always be safe.

Now, at age 20, Lys is discovering a lust for adventure. The world of the supernatural has always been right outside her front door, but she had been too intimidated to enter it. Until now.

Physical Description: Léonide du Origen exudes elegance and deception and being a vampire has nothing to do with it. The man is a lover of beauty and his narcissism is reflected in his appearance. Never will a person gaze upon him without every detail being to Léonide's liking. A crown of blond is meticulously kept to look just so. A fresh crop of golden whiskers decorate his proud chin and shadow lips that seem to hide many secrets. Don't think his vibrant blue eyes aren't judgmental. All of his clothes are quite flamboyant choices, sewn by Léonide himself.

Léonide's body is adorned with a name over his left heart and the image of a cross on his left shoulder. As do most vampires, he has the body as when he was turned; the one of a man in his twenties who lived the life of a warrior. Every inch of him is muscled and toned, making him look to be a exemplary predator in a sea of undead souls. Standing at 6'5" doesn't hurt either.

Personality: As mentioned before, Léonide is a narcissist who would not deny it if accused. A long history gave him the gift of charisma. When it comes to dealing with others, he much prefers to be the dominant person and hates to be argued with. Whoever dares to is often met with violence that is near primal. But do not be so quick to judge. Since it is so hard to find those to trust that aren’t groveling pigs, Léonide is very loyal and possibly too generous with the people he surrounds himself with. He is a stubborn man when it comes to making his beloved friends comfortable. Life is something to be a glutton about.

History:

Born in 1152, Léonide du Origen was born in a French village untouched by the changing tides that were flowing all over Western Europe. It was a peaceful place to raise a child. For many years, no travesty touched the Origen family. But even if his home village was at peace, it did not mean the rest of Léonide’s country was.

His mother clung desperately to her son’s hand as he tried to walk towards the gathering of the village’s male youth for the march to being trained for battle. Léonide was only sixteen when he had to push away his mother, leaving her sobbing in her husband’s arms as the boy walked away to his fate. He did not know it then but that was the last day he would ever see his parents.

The troupe made it to the camp nestled in the a valley constantly covered in snow. It was the best place to harden the body and numb any compassion. At the place “of frozen death”, Léonide found out what it means to starve, bleed, and feel broken. It was a long torture. But it sculpted him into the very vision of a soldier by his twentieth year. And by the eve of the following year, war had found it’s way to Léonide.

The sights of battle scarred him. Screams haunted him. Images of death followed him wherever he went. Léonide wanted nothing more than to shut it all out. In that storm of chaos, he found a welcoming embrace. For the next few years, he lived as a deserter on the estate of a wealthy trader. During his stay, he learned new languages and domestic skills such as sewing. Yet not even those easy times lasted.

In the year 1181, Léonide was turned by the same man who saved him from the ravages of war. For several centuries after, he stayed with his “father” until his lust for independence called to him. Receiving a good portion of his father’s wealth, Léonide went out into the world, seeing it for the first time in almost five centuries with new eyes.

Not long after being on his own and establishing his own sources of income, Léonide found himself feeling lonely and vulnerable. There were several others like himself in his life, all inhabiting his home and making a nest with him. But the man longed for something to call his, that no other vampire could touch. There was no better way to stroke his ego.

That’s when he found her. The night was beautiful and she embodied what he wished for perfectly. Rebellion was in her blood and the mortal creature reminded Léonide so much of himself. Without a second thought, he took Alexis Ashford and made her his companion. The following two centuries was spent just like every other in his life except he had someone to confide all his thoughts and passions in. Since his vampire birth, Alexis was the only being able to keep his attentions for so long.

In present day, Léonide lives in Greenville, Illinois after falling in love with the Western hemisphere during the Revolutionary War. There he has a small estate the he fills with the riches he accumulated during his lifetime. Politics do not interest him nor is he truly a "conservative vampire." Léonide takes to glamoring humans into donating their blood. But when he's feeling too haughty to grace Greenville with his presence, he has someone run out and buy him a pack of TruBloods. He also designs clothes, Origen Original, and uses the place as his studio. Alexis lives along with him and he often frequents her bar.

A human local takes care of his home during the day. Their relationship isn't known to the casual public.

Name: Fiona Dalway

Age: 20

Gender: female

Sexuality: straight.

Race: Fey

Occupation: Works part time at her aunts florist shop.

Physical Description: 5'7, very slender and graceful. She looks like if you sneezed in her direction she'd fall over. As such, she doesn't have much in the ways of hips or bust. Has an english rose complexion, with soft grey eyes and white-blonde hair. This sadly results in light blonde lashes and eyebrows as well. She usually has a general glamour on her eyebrows to make them a touch darker and visible. Smiles easily, and has a small neat face, with fine delicate features. She's practically a living doll at times, but alive and energetic. Has narrow long hands and feet as well.

Personality: She is highly cheerful, and skips over most of life's problems. She enjoys talking with people, ideal with her job, and is also very kind. However, she is also cynical. Somebody can lie to her, and being a fey she will know. She's too soft to pull people up on it when it's a small lie, but doesn't suffer fools. Any reprimands are usually accompanied with a smile to remove the sting. Absolutely loves shiny things, and can be a bit scatterbrained. Her mind moves very quickly, and changes direction just as fast. Is also stubbornly independant so refuses to enchant humans as other fey have done, for money, love or power. She wants to be more honest than other fey are known for being.

History: Fiona grew up with her parents in the city, but with the outing of the vampires and the suspicions that other supernatural races lurked, her parents decided to send her out to live with her aunt when she finished school. There are a lot more places to run in open land, and less authorities to chase you. While fey are swift, people no longer rely on horses as their fastest transport and they can no longer outrun humans. Fiona hasn't fought the move as she understands her parent's reasoning, but she does still worry about them. Fiona is the youngest of three children, all girls. She regularly recieves phonecalls and letters from her family, and has no complaints living with her maiden aunt. Her Aunt Merry is much younger than her brother, 38, and their close ages mean that they get along very well. Fiona is quite curious at the local population of other species, since she has only been there for approximately 3 months.

Sayo's love of night life and all things wild show in his appearance. His gelled spiked golden hair is lit up with red highlights. His perfectly defined features give him the complextion of a 20 year old. His ocean blue eyes are sharp and mysterious. Their cold depths never waver unless your lucky to catch him in a somber mood.

His charming lips are always giving a smile of some hidden knowledge. His dress comprises mostly of black or revealing costumes for his gig as a singer. He stands at height of 5 foot 9 inches and weighs in at 180 pounds. His body is solid and lean with fine muscles of a fighter. His long nimble legs give him the edge in any agility and flexability contest.

Personality:
On the outside, Sayo is the optomistic party lover. He has a wild nature that is of yet untamed by anyone. He disobeys any rule as long as it isn't too important and always has time to lavish charms on the ladies that come his way. He is definatly a charmer and knows how to have a good time.

On the inside however, Sayo is really a depressed soul. He yearns for companionship but he shuns for fear of being betrayed by them. He longs to have his human life back but knows he can never be what he once was again. He swallows his despair in the apperance of his alter ego personality.

History:
Sayo's mother had died in the strain of child birth and was left with in his father's care. His father which was going down in his business instead of up, sent Sayo to an orphanage in hope for a better life. Sayo remained in the orphange till he was the age of 17.

During his time in the orphange, he taught himself how to sing and practiced daily while the other children played with each other. From the begining he lived a life of solitude. When he finally left, he had started work as a waiter to pay for his apartment and tried to get a better eduation. at 21 years of age, he took a job as a night club singer where he lived his day's happily spreading songs.

Then everything changed for the worst when he fell in love with a vampire by the name of Alexandria. Their love affair lasted a year before Alexandria bit him and drained his blood. Having pitty on him, she turned him.

When the change was complete, Sayo had changed. He became bitter with life and hated Alexandria to no end, but had to depend on her for the first year of his life. Once he was free from her, we went back to the night club and drank from willing hosts and instead of killing his prey.

He has moved from city to city and town to town to escape notice. He doesn't quite like the fact that humans know of their existance but lives with it and drinks Trublood when his host can't provide blood for him.

Occupation: Insurance agent for animal attacks.

Physical Description: Michael stands up at 6'1, and has a slender, but a bit of muscular physique. His eyes are close to a bronze color, and his hair is black. These two qualities are the only ones that remain when he shifts. He usually wears only wears button ups and other simple and formal wear. When working though, he wears a suit to look professional.

Personality: Though Michael's job may make him look like as if he's either too good of a person or a stiff, he is more than what you see. If you knew him well, you could easily place him as one of the most laid back easy going guy on the face of planet. If you knew him even better, you'd see him as the biggest scam artist on the face of the planet. Michael usually has a grin or smile on his face and rarely lets anything bother him. He absolutely loves charming women, and loves when things go according to plan.

History: Michael's life is a story to look back on and laugh at. He was born on the countryside of Illinois, in a simple family. His father was a lawyer, and his mother a doctor, and he was the only child. Michael was spoiled rotten to the point where he thought that he thought he was better than anyone. He actually discovered what he truly was from his huge ego. He thought he could run faster than his German Shepard. He set up a race and everything, and his parents figured that the boy would lose and realize that he wasn't so great. His dog left him in the dust, but as Michael continued on with his big ego,he began to change form. He changed into a replica of his own dog, and passed it while it was only being led by a piece of meat. This only boosted up his ego even more, so much that he soon felt that he didn't really even need to try anything.

His parents were afraid though, afraid of him, so they burned the house down in the middle of the night, hoping that their devil of a son would come down with it. Michael escaped though and ran away after putting most of the pieces together on his own. He soon traveled to Greenville, where he was placed into an orphanage, and spent the rest of his childhood there. After hearing of the vampires, Michael found it exciting, knowing that another species superior to humans were out there.
