I continued along down the hall until I saw a door. It was old and wooden and looked worn. I felt compelled to go see what was inside so I twisted the brass knob and entered the room. It was the Library.. I'd seen a couple rooms here in the castle and they were boring, dark and fowl smelling... But the Library was beautiful. There was a stained glass window by the wall along with large windows that let the light in. The lights were turned off so you knew that all the light was natural. There were beautiful soft rugs everywhere and there were books that were old and worn with yellow pages and new shiny one with glossy covers. I smiled as I looked around. The Library was deserted. I saw a little alcove window and it looked like a great place to sit. I hopped onto the cushions and opened the window, letting the cool air in. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad. I pulled out my granola bar and began to eat.
Slayer twisted the knob and opened the door to the extensive library, basking contentedly in the natural light the windows let in. Immediately she was drawn to the grand fireplace in the center of the room on the main level. She concentrated a bit of energy on the log, lighting it and creating a warm glow.
Then as she looked about her wanting to find a book, she noticed the girl sitting quietly at the window and wondered if she had disturbed her by igniting the fireplace. Slayer shrugged to herself and continued on to one of the tall bookshelves to browse.

She shut the old book she had been engrossed in, and took out her tablet, along with earbuds. She plugged them in and double clicked on "Math" when her screen lit up. Then, she went to the date of today and hit "Lesson". The screen faded and her math teacher came up, explaining the math lesson of the day and the problems that went with it. After watching the video, she went in her bag and grabbed out her math book and copybook. She started doing the problems with ease, finishing about 5 minutes after she started. Her math textbook and copybook returned to their original place, and she zipped up her bag.
A small sigh escaped her lips and she saw a female come in. She didn't recognize her, and she didn't recognize the male she greeted either. Oh well, she thought, and turned back to the book she was originally reading.
Packing her luggage, surprisingly just her tablet and writing block, the mute girl looked about as her gaze once again fell on Jordyn. She was alone, too, and- It was almost lunch time.
Quick! Now is your chance!
Gathering up all the courage she could muster, Hannah nervously approached her room-mate, tugging the other girl's shirt to get their attention. Whether she had gotten Jordyn's attention or not, the red-haired girl quickly made a few signals through signing, her pale fingers pointing back and forth between herself and Jordyn as she also tapped her right wrist and made an inquiry about lunch-break.
To sum it up, Hannah tried to ask Jordyn if she wanted to eat lunch together. Although, if one wasn't familiar â Or even used to Hannah's hurried signing, they might not get it the first time around. The quiet Brit could've slowed down a bit, but interaction with others wasn't her... most favoured activity. Still, her continuous signing may eventually ring a bell... She hoped.
Sanders, I think. I slip my book under my arm and run over to the boy.
"Sanders, unanimate those! You'll get in trouble. I don't know how long you have been here, but that's a sure way to get punished. They hate when you use your powers for reasons like this..." I pause, and I point to a few black prisms around the corners of room.
"Those are cameras, and they are all watching."
"Oh, Shakespeare. I'm currently reading the Tempest. It's beautifully written. I can lend it to you if you like, once I'm done reading." I smiled at her, then turned back to my book.
"Or you can read it with me. There is an extra copy on to shelf." I pointed to the shelf closest to us, then pulled out a chair next to me.
"I don't have very many friends here..." I sighed.
