Seok is a rather slim young man, though his body is rather toned, it's just not very big. He has a very wiry frame. Generally he wears simple clothing, a white hoodie, black skinny jeans, and most times a yellow bandana that's very important to him. As an Earthbender his cloths are naturally very dirty, and has a nice thick coat of dirt on it. He had both his ears pierced.

"I make no excuses for being myself."

Quan is a very sarcastic individual who more often than not has a joke up his sleeve. Even in the most dangerous of situations he always finds time to crack a joke. Most would call him immature, or unprofessional, and they'd be mostly right. But he does this for a reason whether people realize it or not. As he would put it 'If you focus too much on your soul crushing situation, you'd go nuts'. He's seen what that sort of stress does to a person, as it poses just as much danger as a bullet in the gut. So he often keeps things light, most times with some very cheesy jokes.

He can be quite ill tempered, and impatient. He's not the type to beat around the bush, and is always one to take on a problem head on, like a proper Earthbender. He's a very to the point guy, and hates waiting with a fiery passion. He can be quite protective, if not overly of others, especially his friends, the Avatar in particular. He's quite stubborn as well, and will not give up on anything, or admit that he's wrong on anything, no matter how obvious. He does have a sense of honor to him, and is a kind, and compassionate soul.

He has an obsession with Earthbending, and the old techniques of it's masters. He's especially fascinated with the sub-techniques of the art, such as metalbending. He secretly practices these techniques, hoping to one day maybe, just maybe be able to revive these old arts. But he's yet to succeed. It's something that frustrates him to no end.

"I don't believe in destiny. Destiny is a word used by those who can't forge their own path in life."

L I K E S
✦Training - He enjoys his Earthbending training.
✧Fighting - He loves him a good fight! Granite, he doesn't fight fair, but still.
✦Sand - He finds being in sand rather relaxing. Feeling the grains of sand weaving between his bare feet is just fantastic to him.
✧Sweets - He's got him a pretty big sweet tooth. A sure fire way to get him to do what you want is to give him a candy bar.
✦Earthbendering - There's just something about being able to cause a earthquake with your mind that's so relaxing to him.

D I S L I K E S
✦The Faceless Ones - That's sort of a given. They hunt, and persecute benders, not much to like.
✧Destiny - He hates the word, and it's meaning. He doesn't believe in some sort of pre-destined plan.
✦Bullies - Who likes them?
✧Being Off The Ground - That's pretty obvious since he's an Earthbender.
✦Waiting - It's his mortal enemy.

Q U I R K S
✦Foot Tapping - He does this when he's waiting.
✧Cheesy Jokes - Oh the rock related puns.
✦Moving Pebbles - When bored he has the tendency to bend some pebbles in his hands.
✧Training - He often spends his free time training.

S K I L L S
✦Earthbending - He's a somewhat skilled Earthbender, but he's still learning.
✧Agile - He's pretty fast, and nimble given his stature.
✦Charisma - He can be somewhat charming, and is usually able to bring a smile to others.
✧Fighting - Even without using his Earthbending he's a pretty decent fighter.

"Yeah I know, I'm awesome."

Ba Sing Se, Earth Kingdom

H I S T O R Y
Seok was born, and raised in the slums of Ba Sing Se, the Earth Kingdom capital. His father was a Nobleman, and his mother....not so much. He was the unwanted bastard child. So he was raised by his mother, never really knowing his father. But he didn't care, his mother was all the family he needed. He was young when it was discovered he was a bender, he was seven years old. His mother was understandably frightened by this, given the world's policy on benders. So he was forced to hide his talents.

But in secret he would train in his abilites. Though he had no formal training whatsoever, he did show some natural talent towards the art. He became fasinated by Earthbending, and spent all his free time studing it, which his mother did not approve of. But secrets cannot stay hidden, and nor could he. It was found out that in the slums that he lived in there was an Earthbender. Though the idenity of the Earthbender was unknown. So when the authorities came looking for an Earthbender, his mother made the ultimate scrafice, and was executed instead of Seok.

He was thirteen when this happened. After that he fled the city, never forgetting what he saw. He fled to the last haven for benders, the Air Temples. It took him several months, and during that time he was completely alone. When he made it to the Temple he soon met, and befriended the Avatar. Over time he has begun to develop romantic feelings for her, but he keeps these feelings buried out of fear of losing his friendship with her. When it was discovered that he was one of the Blessed Benders, meant to teach her bending, he wasn't quite sure what to make of it. He doesn't believe in destiny, or fate, or any such things, but even he has to admit it's the mother of all coincidences.

So now he must help her master Earthbending, as he masters it too, and help her find her other teachers.

In the city of Ba Sing Se, a mandatory gathering for the city has been called. An execution of several benders shall be conducted at midday. All citizens of every rank are to attend. The Supreme Faceless One will grace the city with his presence as he conducts the execution of the criminal benders.

The grand general Tobimasu Rakka shall be in attendance as well. Any uprisings will be put down and all individuals involved will be taken into custody while leaders themselves shall be executed. Any citizens not found in attendance will be arrested. The execution platform is not to be mounted by any citizen.

As written by Toshio Tasuki, Leader of the Resistance

hesfweglloThe resistance will be in attendance of the execution as required by the Supreme One, however, we shall not be there for the same reasons. Five of our own benders shall be in attendance. Each bender knows their mission already. All non benders who are members of the resistance must be prepared and ready to act upon the signal from the fire bender.

hesfweglloThe two earth benders we have are tasked with subduing the general who is to be present. The fire bender is tasked with protecting those who were to be executed after the water bender frees them. The water bender is to then help as she sees fit. The air bender is tasked with protecting the crowd from the Faceless Ones' soldiers.

hesfweglloThe goal is to free those who are to be executed, then vanish before the Supreme Faceless One and or the general cause major damage to our group of rebels. Any individual who is injured must immediately be evacuated. Any individual in the crowd who is arrested must immediately be freed before they are taken to the jail or the palace. Any individuals who go beyond walls are beyond our ability to rescue as of right now.

hesfweglloThere is to be no encountering of the Supreme Faceless One. We have been given word that the Supreme Faceless One has decided not to attend from a reliable source. Should he make an appearance, the mission is to be aborted and we shall count our losses and savor our lives.

hesfweglloTo every individual who has lost their sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, siblings to the Faceless Ones, we hope to keep these seven benders from loosing their lives like your loved ones lost theirs. May the spirits have mercy on us all.

Fire lord Dekan is welcoming Faceless generals Eris and Secca into his palace. All individuals in the palace are to be in attendance. The fire lord shall retain his seat on his throne. Son, Prince Aonani shall retain his seat to the immediate right of his father on the upper dais.

All servants and slaves are to be in attendance. Servants are to bow on their knees on either side of the walkway in rows with as many servants in each as needed. Slaves are to stand by the outer walls and keep their eyes down the entire procession and are not to stand on any raised platform. Servants and slaves are to wear their ceremonial attire.

Before servants take their places, the windows are to be opened up. Any servant or slave not in the proper attire or position are to be arrested. Servants nor slaves are to move during the ceremony whatsoever, neither are they to speak unless spoken to. Should a servant or slave draw the attention of either general for any reason, they are to be punished as the general sees fit.

Should any slave or servant see Prince Aonani on his way to the ceremony, be sure to encourage him towards the ceremony should he stop for any reason.

The avatar and her friend Seok, the blessed earth bender, have made it to the city of Ba Sing Se. The two continue to search for the blessed bender that the avatar is drawn to because of their destinies. They unknowingly are staying a street away from the rebellion's headquarters and are very close. Nor does Seok or Hyo know of the execution or the rescue mission.

She had thought her journey would be amazing. And perhaps it would have been, considering the wonders Hyo had already experienced - the vastness of the sky viewed from the earth, the thickness of the air down below the clouds, the technological marvels that were the ferries of Full Moon Bay - but all this time, her joy had been hazed in grim realization: the air temple was gone.

The one place in the world that she had ever known was gone, crumbled behind her as she fled like a coward. She would likely never see the people who taught and raised her ever again. The thought of it caught her heart in stone grip. Even now it didn't seem quite real, the screaming and the crashing stone… the memory was already faint and fading, like a dream. If it weren't for Seok at her side, having escaped the fray with her, Hyo might have believed it was a nightmare. But it had been real, and so with throat grown tight with guilt, the avatar had been uncharacteristically quiet for the beginning of their journey.

However, now walking through the streets of the Earth Kingdom she had never known, even the weight of her loss couldn't stop her elation. Seeing the massive buildings, the sweeping stone, giddiness welled like a spring inside her. "Seok, it's magnificent!" she breathed, turning on a heel to face him. It was a fighter's motion, forceful and dynamic, but forgetting she'd given up her braid, Hyo caught a mouthful of her own hair instead. Too eager to speak, she swept it furiously out of her face with both hands, eyes shining. "Is this where you grew up?"

Her excitement was dizzying, and she spoke without leaving room for answers. The city was nothing like she'd ever seen before - although, in Hyo's case, that wasn't very hard, but even so! Ba Sing Se was grand in different way from her air temple. The buildings of the kingdom capital were broad and sturdy, solid and sound. Hyo found it no wonder that it still stood standing. However, despite her excitement as she strode onwards, she could sense the trepidation in the air, see the emptiness of the streets. No matter how she tried, she couldn't quite imagine how it used to be, bustling and lively with people at peace.

It was sobering.

She slowed to a halt, allowing Seok to catch up as her initial eagerness trickled away. Rising to proper posture, Hyo took a moment to just stand and feel. She took in a breath and let her mind expand, sweeping outwards. There was Seok, so close to her, steadfast and familiar. She knew the light of his blessing well. And then there was the other one - the one that drew her in. Faint but calling to her, growing stronger, somewhere close, but she was tired. She'd been following it for days now, and it was hard to focus for fatigue. "Ugh, I'm losing it," she complained, grimacing towards her friend. "The blessed bender's nearby, somewhere…" A vague gesture towards the next street. "But I can't pinpoint it. What should we do?"

Finally, today was the day. So much planning, so much scheming has finally come to fruition. Today he'll not only capture some of the rebels best benders, but he'll also be getting his daughter back. Icing on the cake. The benders to be executed today are merely the bait for the bigger fish, the rebels. He had to wait for so long. It had to be long enough for Naomi to be accepted into the rebels, and trusted enough to be allowed on high priority missions such as rescuing benders. And now all his turtle ducks were lined up a row.

Tonrar sat on his throne, his chin resting on his fist as he leaned on one of the arms of the throne, while his free hand was tapping vigorously on the other arm. He was soooo bored. He hated having to stay at one palace like this. His mind wondered, thinking about how things are going in the Fire Nation. He really must find him a puppet to put on the throne. This is work for lackies. He should be out there doing the fun stuff, like torture, and murder. But it's surprisingly difficult to find a suitable meat puppet.

Not only do you have to find some fool competent enough to be able to run things without him holding their hand, but not so ambitious as to pose a threat to him. It's a delicate balance to be sure. He really did luck out with Dekam. Not only is he as uninterested in ruling as he is, but his true interest is death, and destruction, which Tonrar can provide a lot of. The best of both worlds. He has had thoughts of appointing one of his other generals as the king, or queen, or whatever Sicca wants to be called.

He's unsure if any of them are prepared to rule though. Eris, though his trusted second-in-command, is more likely to just destroy the entire kingdom, Sicca would go insane from the boredom of the dreadful meetings, and then there's Tobimasu. Though he might be a better choice, as he's not as clinically insane as Eris, though Tonrar isn't one to talk, and he's more mature than Sicca, but still, he'd probably just go into an endless sleep from all the sitting around, and doing nothing. No, for now it'd probably be best if he stayed in charge. No matter how much he disliked it.

His deep thoughts were soon interupted by the arrival of a servent. "M-my lord, the prep-preperations are complete for the executions." The servent nervously reported. Tonrar lifted his chin off his fist, and sat up straight. "Oh goody! You'll want a front row seat for this Ace! It'll be a show to die for!" He stated with a bone chilling laugh. "O-of course sir." The servent answered, becoming increasingly nervous. Sweat was just rolling off his face like a waterfall. "Why so nervous lad? This is a happy ocasion! Like getting a new polar bear puppy, or watching said puppy rip the face off of someone!"

"Here, let's have a smile."
His tone became increasingly menacing. He held out his hands, and began twisting them around not too disimilar to a puppet master. The servent's body tensed up, and began contorting in unatural ways beyond his control, causing great pain. The servent's pained expression then went away as a large, unsettling grin much like the one Tonrar's mask swept across his face. With Tonrar laughing the entire time. He then released him from his bloodbending grip. "See doesn't it feel good to smile?! Now go find General Rakka, make sure he's prepared for today."

Seok took a big whiff of the city air, taking in all the smells of Ba Sing Se. It smelled like home. He was so surprised by how much he's missed the smells, the sights, and the sounds. It felt like home. He hasn't thought about the city, let alone returning to Ba Sing Se in years. Despite how long he's been away, he must say nothing much has changed. It all seems like the same it was five years ago. He watched as Hyo reacted to their new settings, slightly grinning at her excitment.

She was rather adorable when she acted like this. When she turned to face him, and caught a big mouthful of her hair. "Smooth." He chuckled as she spat it out. "Yeah, I guess it's kinda cool. Honestly I haven't been this far into the inner rings too much. I grew up in the slums, I'm kinda low class. Don't tell anybody." He smirked as he rubbed the back of his head. And then he noticed that she was already back on the move. "I swear she's just a hyperactive rabaroo." He muttered to himself as he followed closely behind her.

Despite the cost, he is glad that she now has a chance to see the world outside the air temples. She seems pretty happy after all. Though he did wish that they're first stop wasn't in the Faceless capital of the world. Is that so much to ask? He watched their surroundings carefully in case of trouble. Though he was doubtful that they could actually do anything if push comes to shove. They are, after all ok Earthbenders at best. They probably couldn't hold their own against the Supreme Faceless One, or any of his generals, let alone escape a city under their thumb in a hurry if something happened.

Though he realizes, as much as he's dreading it, that they'd have to face them sooner or later, but he'd rather it been when Hyo is all juiced up with her full avatar power. She finally stopped, and allowed him to catch his breath. "Why are ya asking me? Aren't you the one in charge?" He replied with a grin. He ran his fingers through his dirt covered hair, and scratched the back of his head as he looked around. "I'm a big advocate of the age old 'wing it' technique. Think you can master that boss lady?" He smirked.

He noticed that the streets were rather empty, with very few people around. Rather unusual if he did say so himself. "Hmm, the sun's up, the streets shouldn't be this quiet, or empty." He stated as he scratched his chin. "Think that might lead to something?" He asked. He noticed an older man walking past them in a rather big hurry. "Hey buddy! Where's the fire? Where is everyone?" He asked the man. "Huh?" The man turned to face them, and gave them a good once over. Seok gave him a rather big, and fake smile to maybe put him at ease.

"You kids best get going, there's a mandatory gathering today. The Faceless Ones are executing more benders. You best be along unless you want to be next." He explained, and then ran off towards the gathering. "Fantastic. I'm guessing we found our blessed bender. Got any ideas on how to do this? I'm not too keen on taking on a crap ton of Faceless Ones. Or at least until you know more elements." He stated. "Or when you learn to do that cool glowing eye thing Avatar's do. This might be a good time to exercise that neutral jing crap Earthbenders are supposed to be good at, no matter how much I hate it."

"Today is going to be quite the hectic one... Be sure to take care of yourself."

Hiko was leaning into the doorway, his arms folded over his chest as he waited patiently. Naomi gave him a smile as she tied her skirt around her waist. It was going to come off as soon as the fighting was about to begin, but it would keep Naomi from drawing too much attention to herself in the meantime. Naomi had already done her hair as well. It was the typical style women wore around the area. The knot at the crown of her head had hair that fell along her back while a small, floral decoration was pinned into place. It was the way the courtiers of the earth nation used to wear it.

"Hiko, I have to go, I have to make sure Tama gets into position," Naomi stated apologetically as she grabbed her water skin and slung it around her hips. The water skin would hide easily underneath the tunic she then pulled over it. Unlike Hiko, Naomi was required to wear her source of bending around as water cannot simply be found everywhere like air could. Naomi tossed a smile at Hiko before she left the room they shared being such close friends. Hiko gave her a polite wave as he was not to leave until some time after. If seen together too much or a group being compiled on this day would draw unwanted attention. Hiko plopped down on his bed, letting out a soft sigh.

"That girl, honestly. There's no end of worry she causes me!"

He was more so playfully pouting, knowing that the woman could handle herself. Unlike the girl, his clothes were a bit different but wore the same green hue of traditional earth kingdom attire. He didn't much care for constricting clothing, so he wore his in a more loose manner.

Crystal blue hued irises stared blankly at the wall before him, his legs swaying off the edge of his bed as he waited for what seemed like an eternity. He had begun to daze off when an odd sensation hit him. It felt as if he was being pulled, drawn into something. He snapped out of his daze and the feeling disappeared, causing him to glance around himself. Perhaps he had been dozing off, though that was unlike him.

Feeling as though as he had waited long enough, he hopped off his bed in one graceful motion and headed out.

"Hn... So hungry...."

The raven haired young man let out a dark sigh, hands on his hips as he shook his head. His glare was leveled to a rather skittish servant, in fact all the servants were skittish but this one was more so since the air around them was heavy. Tobi's irritation drew out the heavy air, it being the gravitational pull strengthening in the area. Tobi was used to it, his toned bod able to handle the stress. The poor servant on the other hand was struggling to stay on his feet. Today the gravity bender wore something simplistic and easy to move in, a simpler form of his usual uniform as he was going to be standing around in the sun all day. Not one to like moving about in sweaty clothes, he did the smart thing and dressed lightly.

"And pray tell what do you mean it's a good idea to starve me? Do you want your general to die of starvation?! Should I kill you for your insubordination? I don't care if it was an order not to, get me some-"

Speaking of skittish servants, one of the other servants had approached the pair, distracting Tobi from his vicious ranting. This dissipated the preaching grin that had formed on his face, his features returning to a more neutral appearance as the servant addressed him.

"General Rakka, sir...! The great Faceless One wished to know if you're ready for the... 'grand' execution today. I-it is your duty to execute the prisoners on thi-"

Much like how Tobi was interrupted, he interrupted the puppet by chopping down on his shoulder with the side of his hand. This made the servant crumple on the ground while the other servant cowered in fear.

"I get it, you can shut up now. Honestly, sending such annoying messengers..."

He didn't spare the servants a second glance as he walked away, making his way to the throne area where he was sure to find Tonrar, or rather the great Faceless One. He didn't actually know the guy's name, but he didn't care in the end.

He entered the throne room, bowing at the door as he stepped inside.

"Humble General Rakka at your service. I have made all preparations and am currently ready to undergo the mission to capture the Blessed and your daughter at your command along side with the front of the execution of the benders and their allies."

Naomi smiled at Hiko as she tied the skirt around her waste.

"I always do Hiko, you take care of yourself too buddy. I have to go, I have to make sure Tama gets into position," Naomi stated apologetically as she grabbed her water skin and slung it around her hips. The water skin would hide easily underneath the tunic she then pulled over it. Naomi tossed a smile at Hiko before she left the room they shared being such close friends.

Naomi walked through the halls of the resistance before she finally emerged into a house in the slums which she then exited, making sure the door was closed as she did so. Naomi moved to follow the crowd. She caught sight of Tama walking ahead of her though he had emerged from a different slum house from a different tunnel.

As Naomi and Tama walked, the eerie silence of the street sent chills down Naomi's spine. She caught sight of a girl with black hair and a boy with fair hair. The girl seemed awed at the scene while the boy looked familiar to Naomi. She scrunched her face, trying to place where she had seen him when she accidentally bumped into a Faceless soldier.

The man looked at her with a sneer. Naomi recognized right away that he was knew since he didn't use any bending on her. "My apologies sir," Naomi began though the man made a face as if he didn't believe her. That was when Naomi felt a hand on the small of her back and a voice she recognized very well. "I am so sorry sir, my dear sister here has poor eye sight and lost her way from me. It shall never happen again," Tama stated in his soothing tone though he seemed to be scolding Naomi. Naomi nodded, ducking her head in mock shame. The soldier frowned though nodded and pointed in the direction of the execution. "Fine. Get moving to the execution or I'll arrest both of you," He stated before moving on.

Tama gave Naomi a quizzicle look before she just shook her head at him. They both moved on, catching sight of the crowd and splitting up. Tama was to go down an alley and scale the wall where he could rest and wait behind the curved roof of a nearby building close to the earthen dias. Naomi waded through the crowd though it was not too difficult since nobody wanted to see it and everyone was hoping for others who would be closer than they would so they wouldn't hear all the executions or see the visciousness.

Naomi stepped into position. She wore an old skirt around her waste to hide the pants she wore beneath in preparation for whatever the Faceless Ones would throw at them when they fought back. She prayed she wouldn't see her father. He wasn't supposed to appear, but he never did do the expected.

Naomi adjusted her tunic which then placed over her skirt only slightly to allow her better access to the water skin when the events began. The fellow beside her, an old man in rags, gave her a sympathetic look that Naomi didn't understand until he looked up to the dais and Naomi realized he wasn't sympathetic to her, but to those who were about to be killed. Naomi nodded sympathetically.

Naomi was front row, the only way she could be closer would be fore her to press herself against the dais. The dais, a platform created by an earthbender before his execution once, was made of earth and had a set of stairs in the front and back. There was sometimes a seat that was brought out to allow Naomi's father a seat though that was only if he was to attend.

The form of executions nowadays was by using the dark elements against the benders. Though it could only be done five or six people at a time. The Faceless dark bender would choke them with ash, break their will or make them stop breathing, expand their blood in their veins, or crush them with gravity. All gruesome and painful deaths. The Faceless ones didn't care though. It was how they were.

Naomi took in a breath as a drum began beating before she caught sight of the benders to be rescued. Their cue was for the fire bender in the distance to fire bend a confirmation that no general was attending. It could be some time since the executions were often lengthy as to draw out the horror and pain for both the audience and those to be executed.

Naomi felt her breath break from it's steady pace as she found her nerves catching up to her. It was nerve wracking. Should they not be careful, they could lose much today. Naomi looked down the line of onlookers and nodded at the earthbender on her right, then to the one on her left before resuming her gaze on the platform that slowly began to fill with the prisoners.

Each was made to kneel while their offenses were read aloud. Most often was the offense of treason which was punishable by death in every nation now, except perhaps the air nation which Naomi wasn't entirely sure about anymore. Ever since they began to grow again thanks to Avatar Aang and his wife or whatever happened in the air nation. They then had to have the prisoners admit they did the offenses, state the names of the family (so the family would be "embarrassed" though more often than not it allowed neighbors to help the family as they knew how hard it was), and then they did the executions which were each five or ten minutes long per one. With all seven, normally, the entire event wold take two hours or so.

Naomi reached behind her as the captain who was to carry out the executions took his place to begin the final say so's of the executions before the executions themselves. Naomi began untying the skirt's laces before she felt a hand gently pull at them so that the skirt was held in place in the front, but ready to come of at the slight pull of Naomi moving. Naomi glanced back to see a woman who was silently sobbing next to a young man who was the one holding the skirt. It was a fellow Naomi knew from when she had met him years ago. Another resistance member who was not a bender though his brother was on the stage.

Naomi gave him a slight smile as she waited for the signal, her smile dropping as she turned her gaze forward again. It was nerve wracking. He was going to risk his safety helping Naomi, but if she got caught up in the skirt or if someone in the audience got caught up in the skirt, it would mean that someone could be killed in the potential stampede that might be coming soon in the ensuing chaos.

At her friend's smirk, Hyo scowled and, childish as it was, pulled a face, sticking out her tongue. "Thought I'd value your opinion," she grumbled, petulant, as Seok took initiative and caught a passerby's attention. The older man was one of few in the streets, walking with a purpose - what purpose? Seeing him unresponsive to her friend's broad smile put Hyo ill at ease. For good reason, it turned out.

"The Faceless Ones are executing more benders."

Executing. More benders. Leaving them with this statement, the stranger just rushed off. To the gathering? The execution? Watching… the execution? Hyo watched the man hurry away, stock still and stunned. It wasn’t any special news – Hyo had known the Faceless Ones were slaughtering people left and right. That's why she was needed. She knew that. Yet to hear this stranger mention execution so casually, like the deaths were an inevitability, a routine, another tick off the list of the week… She felt the first stirrings of anger rise inside of her, but she was too cold with confusion to spark the rage. Her ideas of an execution were only silhouettes born of stories, and she couldn't imagine what one was like.

"How can they…?" she started quietly, but faded to let Seok speak. He raised a good point, as always. He was an earthbender with little outside experience, and as much as she hated to admit it, she was just a fledgling avatar - just an earthbender with a good set of lungs that barely counted as airbending. One and a half elements at mediocre skill weren't enough. But the blessed bender, her future friend and teacher, could be among the benders being executed. She couldn't just do nothing.

After a moment of thought, she raised her wrist to her mouth, undid the knot of a string bracelet with her teeth. Bringing her hair over her shoulder, Hyo hunched forward and started to weave her dark tresses into a braid. "We're going to this 'gathering'," she told Seok, determination set in her voice. "If the blessed bender's there, we can't let them die - no, they'll probably fight back. There's no way a blessed one would just wait to be killed. We'll have to help them." She secured the end of her braid with the string and smoothed it over her shoulder. Now if it came down to it, she could fight at moment's notice.

Yet, as much as she hated it, she couldn't be the hero. Not yet. Despite frustration coiling in her chest at her uselessness, Hyo cast her friend a reassuring grin. "No worries. We're going the neutral jing route." She didn't point out that waiting for the perfect moment was neither of their strong suits. "But we need to be in place for it… and I want to see this gathering for myself." The weight of those last words wiped away her smile. Her words weren't quite true - Hyo didn't want to see it. Seeing the air temples crumble had been horrible enough. She couldn't imagine how it felt watching people at the end of their lives, everyone only staring, doing nothing… but she needed to go. She needed to stop it. "So come on. Let's go," she called to Seok before briskly following the stranger's path from before.

It wasn't long until they saw they crowd, and Hyo could already feel the air thick with anxiety. Even though she knew nothing, it was almost enough to seize her with panic herself. Trying to rid herself of the tension by cracking her knuckles, Hyo surveyed the scene. "There's room closer up," she pointed out, stepping forward as if to move through the people. It was unsafe, and she knew it. Seok knew it. But she couldn't just hide in the fringes of the crowd where she'd be too far to do leap in at the first sign of trouble.

Oh, look. She was failing at the neutral jing mentality already.

Seok grinned ever so slightly at Hyo's determination. "I'd be disappointed if we did anything else." He smirked at her stating that they were going to this gathering. Though he didn't really want to go to this gathering, he knew they unfortunately had too. He didn't like it one bit. He knew that on their journey they'll have to witness awful things, but still he didn't want his friend to see such horrors. He knew how much such things can change a person, and he didn't want that to happen to her. All he really wants is to protect her after all.

"Ok, if you're sure then let's go before I change my mind, and just cause a rockslide. Which I can totally do. Yeah, don't question it." He stated with a slight smirk. He then followed closely behind her as they entered the gathering. His eyes darted around the area as his shoulders tensed up uncomfortably. He took note of everything in sight, keeping in mind how many of the Faceless Ones he could see. He was mentally preparing for anything. He glanced over at Hyo, worrying about how she was handling it. She seemed to be handling the best she could, but he could tell she was tense.

Seok groaned at Hyo as she made them move closer to the front. "Alright if we must." He sighed as he begrudgingly followed behind her. "Hey...." He said as he placed his hand comfortingly on her shoulder. "It's going to be ok." He stated with a light smile, hoping that'd ease whatever tension she felt. He watched as the prisoners filled the stage one by one. He studied their faces, and listened as their crimes were read off one by one. He looked upon them with saddened eyes. He was disgusted by this.

His focus was drawn to a woman on the stage. She was middle aged, most likely in her forties. Her hair was long, and golden. She reminded him a lot of his mother. She was desperate looking, with tears being forced back. He took his hand off of Hyo's shoulder, and stared at the woman. He held his hands to his side, and clenched them tightly into a fist. He could see his mother up there instead of the woman. He looked down to the ground as anger swelled up inside him. The ground beneath his feet began to slightly crack at his anger.

Tonrar's attention was brought to his general when he entered the throne room. Tonrar planted the heels of his feet firmly on the ground, and popped up from his throne in one swift motion. "Ah Tobi! There's my favorite general within eyesight!" He greeted followed by a pinch to his general's cheeks, as if he was a mere child. "Delightful! We'll just hide out, and await for the rebels to make their move. And then we'll have them all! Oh imagine the look on their faces! It'll be delicious!" He exclaimed followed by his ever present laughter.

"Remember, my daughter is not to be killed under any circumstances. The blessed bender, let's try not to kill him either. That might just make another one pop up we'd have to hunt down." He stated. He figured if that these blessed benders might work similar to the Avatar, in that another one would be chosen incase one dies. It'd be rather inconvient to be forced to hunt a different one down. He moved past his general, and towards the exit of the throne room. "Let's get this show on the road. No more waiting boy. I can feel it's going to be something to remember."

Tonrar led the way out of the throne room. "Alright, you get your men in position outside the execution area. I'll be nearby. You know how much I like to make an entrance." He ordered before he went on his way alone. It didn't take him long to be in a position he liked. He was on one of the rooftops overlooking the execution area. He surveyed the crowd, looking for his daughter. And then he found her in the front of the crowd. He eyed her carefully. "There you are my darling." He muttered to himself in glee.

He continued to eye the crowd, making note of those there. Then a young girl caught his along with her golden hair companion. He couldn't put his finger on it, but the girl looked different. And yet strangely familiar. He just couldn't place it. He shook his head, and focused on the matter at hand. He continued his survey of the crowd, seeing if he could find the blessed bender, and perhaps the other rebels as well.

Naomi looked down the row of people to see not only Hiko, but Haruto as well. She gave him a small smile and a nod before resuming her gaze to the dias. At that exact time, all hell broke loose. The column of fire shot up from behind one of the nearby houses thanks to Tama.

Naomi felt the skirt around her waste leave and jumped up on the stage as soon as she was free which wasn't very long at all. Naomi watched as the earth benders moved to subdue Tobimasu, the gravity bending general. Tama slid down the roof of a nearby house to meet with Hiko to protect the crowd and get those to be executioned out.

Naomi ripped off the waterskin's top and bended the water to freeze the chains on the first bender's hands. It was a young girl, a year or so younger than Naomi probably. Naomi called for Tama who joined her on the stage. He carefully grabbed either side of the chains where it wasn't frozen, and pushed down on it with his foot while pulling up on the ends with his hands to keep the girl from getting hurt.

In the meantime, Naomi moved to the next fellow. This one was a man in his early twenties who waved Tama on as Naomi was already four people down. Tama began urging them towards Hiko when they saw the soldiers coming in. Naomi's shout didn't leave her lips in time to warn Hiko as an ash bending sergeant hit the boy.

Tama, seeing the rest of the prisoners were going to have to run with chains, began trying to help them before the young bender they had already freed waved Tama on to help Hiko who was being held up by two members of the crowd. Tama took Hiko as well as the already freed members run towards one of the entrances to the underground while Naomi moved to try and free the last bender at this point.

A young boy who was no more than six or seven looked up at her with tears streaming down his face in his fear. Naomi held him as she froze his chains and managed to shatter them herself since they were so big on the young child. She looked about to see that the earth benders were gone and the crowd was now being herded into the middle. Haruto was trying to hold them off as best he could but it wouldn't be long before he too was taken unless he ran.

The child clutched at Naomi's tunic as she shouted for Haruto from the dias. Naomi looked to see that Tobimasu was now being dragged away from the fighting back to the palace. Naomi was glad yet worried as her earth bending friends were not in sight.

Naomi heard the child in her arms cry out louder and turned to see the sergeant who was to do the execution now standing on the dias with her. She switched the child to be in one arm, wondering where the earth bending twins were when one finally appeared in the crowd behind Naomi. Naomi passed the child down just as the sergeant moved forward though a moment later, he was propelled from the dias by an unseen earth bender.

Naomi looked around to see what needed to be done and saw in the distance more soldiers running towards the crowd as if to trap them. Naomi saw more Faceless soldiers than ever before and felt her breathing become more and more labored as she realized what was happening.

Seok was taken off guard by the sudden riot, or whatever it was before him. He immediately rushed to Hyo's side when the trouble began. "Crap....I was about to do that." He admitted. He was really shakened by the woman on the stage that reminded him of his mother. He watched the waterbender girl that leaped on the stage, she looked very familiar. He couldn't place where he's seen her before. It was bugging him. "Naomi?" He muttered to himself. More, and more faceless soldiers started to pour in, and began herding the crowd into the center of the area.

Then an airbender joined Naomi on the stage. "About time." Tonrar muttered to himself as soon as Haruto appeared. Tonrar's sadistic, and unmistakeable laughter filled the air, making his presence known. Then he just stepped off the rooftop he was standing on, and landed on the ground with a rather loud thud. "Yes, still want to take that break dearie?" He smirked through his laughter. All attention was brought to him as he slowly strode his way towards the stage. He held out his hand, and a cloud of ash began gathering in his palm. He fired off a ball of ash towards Haruto.

Seok quickly leaped into action. He dug his hands into the ground in front of the two, and created a barrier to protect the two. The attack hit the wall with explosive energy. Tonrar glared at the young earthbender. "You aren't one of the rebels are you?" Tonrar asked. "Depends what you mean by rebel. If you mean I'm with these guys, then no, if you mean I'm a dashing rogue who opposes authority, then yeah I guess." Seok replied with a smirk. "I wouldn't use the word dashing, more stupid, and weak." Tonrar added.

Seok glared at the masked man. He widened his legs, and took his usual, homemade fighting stance. He clinced his hands into something akin to claws, and place his right hand above his left, his right palm pointing towards Tonrar, and his left towards himself. "I think you can say I came here to....shake things up!" He then stomped on the ground to being up a slab of rock, and shot it at Tonrar. The Supreme Faceless One merely side stepped out of the way rather effortlessly. "Did you just now come up with that? Or have you been thinking of that for awhile?"

Then Tonrar rushed forward with surprising speed. Seok didn't even have time to react. Tonrar punched Seok in his stomach, causing him to double over, and knocking the air out of him. "Sorry kiddo, you'll have to wait your turn. Daddy's got more pressing matters." He smirked at Seok as he intensely stared at Naomi. "Sorry...I didn't get your order...." Seok muttered. Tonrar looked down at him in confusion. "I guess that means I'm not much of a.....WAITER!" Seok joked as he grabbed Tonrar's arm. "HEADS up!" He then headbutted Tonrar in his masked face.

Seok staggered back, and rubbed his head. He vastly underestimated how hard Tonrar's mask was. "Those were bad even by my standards boy." Tonrar replied to Seok's bad jokes. "I regret nothing." He replied. Tonrar rolled his eyes, and tossed Seok aside by his gravity bending. "Huh, I like him. I'll enjoy 'playing' with him tonight. He'll have marvelous screams!" Tonrar smirked as he brought his attention back to Naomi. "Hello dearie. Daddy's home." He smirked to his daughter. He lifted up his leg, and floated onto the stage in front of them. "I've been waiting for so long for the family to be together again."

Naomi caught sight of Haru jumping into action and gave a slight smile as she fought. He definitely made things better, more bearable. Without him, things would be a lot harder and she was sure it would not be entirely worth trying for the rescue mission since it would be so unlikely for the success part.

Naomi was fighting when in the distance, she saw Haru get tackled in an awkward way. Her momentary distraction caused her to drop the water she had been bending which left her open for an ash bending soldier to throw the hot ashes at her face. Naomi ducked in time to only feel the heat on her face rather than the burning that could have come on.

Naomi heard Haruto and looked down at him as she drew water from what she had dropped and one of the barrels that had been set up for the rebels' use. Naomi brought the water around her and held it at eye level. Her legs were exposed, however, whenever there was an attack for her legs, the water dipped down to catch whatever was meant to do her harm.

Naomi looked up to see Haru getting taken down. Naomi, definitely ticked off that he was not taking this seriously enough to avoid getting hit, bended the water surrounding her to be in a ball above him. The soldiers looked at it, then her before the water flew out and pushed them all back in a wave that sent many splashing and spluttering. Naomi turned to take on the next wave yet what she saw was far worse.

The crowd in the square was basically surrounded. Tama was trying his best to break up the soldiers to allow a place of passage, yet a moment later, was forced to the ground where he was covered in soldiers. Naomi let out a cry as she saw her friend go down. She moved to go help him when she froze at the sight of someone she hadn't seen in years.

Before her, beside a girl, stood Seok. A fellow who had been a part of her life when she had been one to live in Ba Sing Se's slums with her mother in hiding of her father. There was a laughter that sent chills down Naomi's spine. She noticed only then that the dais was surrounded yet no soldier was joining them on the dais anymore. She looked to Haruto before looking for the source of the laugh.

She saw him as he stepped of the roof which caused her to take a step back in her fear. She shook her head, unable to form words as she couldn't keep her focus to hold the water bending. Naomi felt her breathing grow more rapid than it already was. "No... No, you're..."
Naomi breathed, her fear obvious.

She looked for Tama in the crowd that was still being herded in, as if this little exchange meant nothing. As if they didn't know death itself was walking right past them. Tama was bloodied and being held up by two soldiers smiling proudly. He was rigid in a way that made Naomi shiver again. They were blood bending him and obviously, he wasn't enjoying it one bit as he met her eyes with anger and fear mixed in them.

The wave of soldiers swamped the stage again and Naomi, distracted, was struggling to gather all the water that she had dropped onto the dais. Someone landed a punch to Naomi's face and she staggered, only not falling because of the soldiers behind her which she promptly kicked in a bad place.

Naomi tasted blood from what she assumed was a busted lip since it stung. She caught sight of the ball of ash flung at Haruto and called out a warning, knowing she couldn't draw the water she was now using to protect herself to protect Haruto. Crying out to warn him, though knowing it was too late, Naomi felt a stab in her chest until a wall of earth appeared to protect not only Haruto, but Naomi from anything the ball of ash might have spread.

The wall lowered a moment or two later as the rebellion's earth benders made another appearance and finally broke the circle around the crowd to begin leading them out. The benders looked to Naomi with a questioning look, telling her it wasn't them that saved Naomi and Haruto.

She looked about as she pushed the soldiers around her back more and more before she saw Seok now facing her father. "Seok, run," Naomi called to the boy who had helped her once. He needed to go. Now. Naomi watched in horror as Seok tried to face her father before taking a punch to the stomach, a hard one.

Tonrar whispered something to Seok and Naomi felt his eyes on her as he did so causing her to feel her stomach tighten. What did he want with her again? Or in the first place? He shouldn't need her!

Naomi watched as her father tossed Seok aside like a rag doll before turning to the dais. A few stragglers from the crowd, the beaten Tama, and the other benders were still here as they tried to get everyone out.

Naomi managed to push another wave of the soldiers away form her by sending a wave at them and causing them to slip on the ice. Naomi managed to turn around in time to see her father now approaching her. She took a step back as he floated to the stage, finding she had never been more fearful of him than when he was before her.

Naomi felt ice fill her veins as more of the benders that were a part of the resistance went down and more soldiers flooded the area. All that was left really were the beaten resistance benders, the girl Seok had been with, Seok, Naomi, and Haruto.

When Tonrar said they were a family, Naomi found her courage from her anger as she scoffed at him. "You're not a part of my family idiot. Only a few people actually care about me enough to be considered that. You freaking killed my mother," Naomi spoke to him, seething but at a normal voice before it rose in her anger and distress.

She unfroze the water on the dais and brought it up to send towards Tonrar. She dared not look towards Haruto, fearful that he would be looking at her strange or picked up on what Tonrar actually meant by saying family. Perhaps Haru would figure it was the babbling of a mad man.

"Hey… It's going to be okay."

At her friend's words, Hyo felt the tension ebb away. She was grateful - Seok always managed to ground her when she felt she might flutter away with unease. She watched the rest of the execution take place with grave attention, feeling her anger mounting with every word. She heard the crack of earth beside her and knew Seok was affected too. She wished she could have said something to comfort him as well but instead found validation for her own outrage instead.

The Faceless must be stopped.

A column of fire roared skywards, catching the Avatar off guard - was it a bender? A blessed one? Startled, Hyo cast the net of her mind outwards, hoping for a catch. Her attention was swept up like a leaf in the breeze, and snapping her eyes open she whirled towards the stage. A gust of wind blasted outwards from the dias, billowing her dress around her knees as she stared wide-eyed at the blessed bender fighting before her. Blonde hair. Dexterous build. An airbender.

An airbender.

Soldiers arrived, seizing him, pulling him off stage - Hyo had to stagger back to get away from the brawl. Fortunately the Faceless soldiers were preoccupied with those actually fighting back, so she wasn't an active target yet… but Hyo couldn't stand it. Her shoulders seized up and subconsciously, she widened her stance. She wanted to fight. No, neutral jing - now wasn't the time. She couldn't blow her cover. It was too early, far too early into this mess. No one could know she was the Avatar yet. Even when Seok leapt into action, she held back, even though her blood raced beneath her skin, her muscles singing with the need to just move.

His opponent, she realized with a prickling wave of fear, was the leader of the Faceless. That alone was evident from the mask, but it was evident from the man's aura - oppressive, erratic, like it would swallow everything whole - that they were outclassed. In her current state, she didn't stand a chance. Even so, Seok was right there, head to head with the masked man and she still forced herself to hold back. It wasn't the right time. She knew this. Even though she could never practice neutral jing herself, the earthbenders at her air temple hat taught her well - she could at least feel when the time was right, and this wasn't it.

But when she saw the Supreme Faceless One toss Seok aside, Hyo had to react.

"Seok!" she cried out, leaping forward, long strides carrying her to where he would land. She could use the wind to cushion— no, she was still weak with airbending and she couldn't be seen using two elements anyway. "Guess I'm an earthbender now," she mused to herself before kicking up a knee for momentum. With a clever twist in midair she slammed her palm to the ground, sending ripples into the ground. The girl hissed a sigh of relief when the earth softened enough to cushion her friend's fall.

And now she was involved. Two Faceless soldiers who'd caught the scene rushed over, but Hyo wouldn't have it. Neutral jing be damned, now things were personal. One of them must have been a gravity bender, judging from the sudden pressure in her joints, but they would have to try harder than that. In fact, she let them do their work. She let gravity do its thing, dragging her downwards, but she maintained her form and twisted her fist into the earth. A series of pillars burst up from the ground, knocking both soldiers off their feet.

"Seok, you alright?" Although she had complete trust in her dear friend, he had just faced off against the Faceless leader. She hoped he wasn't hurt. The avatar stood up, tossing her braid back over her shoulder, gaze sweeping their surroundings. "I found the blessed one - he's the airbender, a part of this rebellion - since my earthbending's already exposed, so I'm going to help out."

As soon as Seok gave an okay, she was going to take some Faceless soldiers down, starting with the ones who'd managed to subdue some of the rebels. This situation needed all the benders they could get, and though Hyo wanted nothing better than to beat the Supreme One's face in through his mask, she had a clear handle on her priorities and her level of strength.

There was no time for Seok to react. His plan was to soften the ground where he landed, but things were going to quickly. Luckily Hyo had the same idea, and soften his landing for him. What would he do without her? "Yeah I'm good. My pride's just a little brusied...and probably my ribs." He slightly joked as he rubbed his side. It did sting a little, but nothing he couldn't handle. Seok helped his friend clear out more of the soldiers with his earthbending. He stomped on the ground to summon a wall of earth, and lanuched it at several of the soldiers, knocking them into a nearby wall.

Tonrar watched all this in amusement. He dodged his daughter's water attack effortlessly with a simple side step. Clearly showing he didn't see her as a threat. "For the record I didn't kill your mother. And had I known she was to be executed I wouldn't have allowed it. It was your uncle who killed her by his own accord, not mine." He then rushed forward at Naomi, and grabbed her by the neck, but not hard enough to actually hurt her, just enough to keep her in place. "Start killing the rebels. Start with the firebender." He ordered his troops as he pointed her head towards her friend to watch his death. He then saw Seok, and Hyo rescuing the rebels. He released Naomi, and growled at them in annoyance.

He stepped off the stage, and strode towards them. Tossing rebels, civilians, and his soldiers out of his way. Seok noticed that he was making his way towards Hyo. He had to think of something. "Hm...I know!" He held out his hands, and then jerked them up, causing a thick cloud of dust to surround Tonrar. Seok then stomped on the ground once more, summoning up five small slabs of rock. He shot the slabs in rapid succession towards the dust cloud. Tonrar managed to dodge four of the slabs, but was nailed dead center in his chest by the fifth, causing him to slid backwards out of the cloud.

Seok grinned in accomplishment. But this sense of victory was short lived, as he was attacked suddenly by a ash bender. The bender grabbed his right arm to try to burn him. Seok performed a hip toss on the man, and slammed him on the ground. He did manage, however to burn his right sleeve off. Thus this revealed his blessed mark. Tonrar noticed this. His manicial laughter returned upon this realization. "You're not the blessed bender I was looking for! But I'll gladly take the two for one. Two more left, and I'll have the complete set!"

Seok quickly covered his mark with his hand, even though it was too late. More soliders began focusing their attack on him. He struggled to fight them off, summoning pillars up from the ground to strike the soldiers from out of nowhere. Tonrar meanwhile turned his attention back to his daughter. "There you are! Come here you!" He said with absolute delight. He returned to the stage with a renewed spring in his step. "Not one, but TWO blessed benders?! And it's all thanks to you dearie!" He said in a proud tone as he playfully ruffled Naomi's hair.

"Come here! I've got a hug somewhere for you!" He smirked as he held out his arms in order to receive a hug. Though this was more for a joke than anything. "What? Are you made because I'm going to kill your rebel friends? Don't worry, I'll leave some alive. I do need entertainment. And you'll make new friends! They'll be lying up by the hundreds!" He gleefully explained.

Seok was barely holding it together at this point. His body ached all over, he was using too much of his bending. He couldn't last much longer. "Hyo...we need to go." He said as he made his way over to Hyo. "I can't keep this up for much longer....talk about personal problems....aw that made me sad." He huffed with a slight smirk. "We need to get these rebels out of here. The waterbender on the stage, the one tall, masked, and bitchy is so interested in, I know her. She is....was one of my best friends growing up. I gotta help her."

Naomi watched as the girl who had been with Seok revealed herself to be an earth bender. She watched as the girl caught Seok as he was thrown.

Naomi huffed at Tonrar playing with her. She didn't respond to his comment. She knew what he did in his palace to those around him. Her mother would have been killed or tortured for taking Naomi away. Naomi was thankful considering she was still a normal bender instead of a dark bender like she probably would have been.

Naomi moved to send another wave of water, this time laced with ice at her father before he grabbed her by the neck. She gasped as she grabbed at his hands, the water soaking them both. Naomi struggled, finding his grip iron like. He wasn't squeezing, but it was definitely not pleasant.

When Tonrar ordered the death of the rebels, Naomi cried out as she saw Tama begin to grimace. "Stop it, please, stop," Naomi whispered to her father as she pulled against him to get to Tama. Haru was dealing with his own troubles, but she knew that her father wouldn't kill her best friend once he discovered what Haru really was.

Naomi hated that he was making her watch as she tried to kick at him from where she was being held. Tama fell to the ground and Naomi thought he was dead until he looked up at her with a confused face. She then saw that Seok and the girl had managed to free him.

When her father released her, Naomi found herself getting pressed down by a gravity bender nearby. She looked to them and sent a wave of water at him, knocking him off his feet. Naomi looked to her father and moved to go after him though she found that it was nearly impossible with the group of Faceless Ones that were trying to surround her on the dais.

Naomi managed to lift herself up with her water and carry her on a wave to where Tama was laying. She helped her friend up, passing him off to the two freed earth benders who managed to disappear as they grabbed the few remaining citizens they could.

There was little bloodshed though Naomi knew it wouldn't be like that for much longer if things were not ended soon. Naomi moved again to reach Haru as concern for her friend raced through her. She watched as her father was hit hard with a piece of earth that didn't come from one of the rebel earth benders. However, Seok, the one who had done the bending, was caught by an ash bender only to be revealed as a having the mark of the blessed. Haru had the same mark and Naomi had seen it many times, but she couldn't believe that it was actually on someone else before her. She froze, as she saw it. It wasn't often you saw a blessed bender that you didn't know.

Naomi's thoughts then went to the girl who was with Seok. Who was she? Was she another bender? Or even the avatar? Naomi looked to her and couldn't hide her wonder as she stared at the girl. It wasn't possible, was it?

Naomi was roused from her shock as her father turned his attention back on her. She backed up again before sending a snap of water at those who were trying to grab her from behind. She went down though when one of the will benders grabbed a hold of her. She froze against her will as she stood there, trying to reach Haru as she saw him in trouble.

She felt her father ruffle her hair and Naomi felt her stomach tighten. This was not how it was to go. There were to be hardly any guards, her father was to be in the palace. She shook her head at her father's words but feared they might be true. Had she trapped both Seok and Haru?

She struggled against the will bender and succeeded in taking a step back before she was simply grabbed by two soldiers as her father came forward as if to touch her again.

"I'd honestly rather die than live with you. And you are most definitely not someone I want to be related to," Naomi whispered the last part, not wanting Haru to hear it. She could pretend that what Tonrar had said so far was lies, but if he kept at it, she wouldn't be able to dig herself out of the hole he was digging her.

"You're freaking crazy to think I'd want anything to do with you when you were the one who killed your own wife's brother. He was my father far more than he was yours," Naomi whispered viciously before letting all her weight drop. The soldiers holding her, surprised at the sudden weight, fell forward where Naomi swung her legs up to push the two soldiers forward before landing on her hands after falling backwards and pushing herself back up.

She looked to her father, drawing the water surrounding them both to him quickly as she froze it. The water climbed and froze around her father faster than she'd ever seen. The energy it took caused her to drop to one knee as she looked up at him, her breathing heavy. She was out of water to bend in defense though the soldiers surrounding didn't seem inclined to move forward to grab her again, instead, eyeing her father fearfully.

Naomi looked back up to him before moving to run to Haru though she was slow from the little energy she had.

Haruto Koizumi

Haruto tried to take in a calm, cleansing breath as he avoided another wild attack from the soldiers, but he felt his muscles beginning to shake from fear and his lack of strength. He hadn't really planned too much on fighting his way through this whole thing, which was a little stupid in hindsight considering the whole world was against them for something they didn't choose. A solid punch landed on Haru's right cheek, sending him sprawling to the ground. He winced as he felt the skin on his elbows tear open, following instantly by the burning warmth of wet blood. He was about to jump right up when he felt a crushing weight slam his head into the ground with dizzying force. A gravity bender, no doubt. Haru felt hot tears sting his eyes and much to his frustration, they leaked out of the corners of his eyes, trickling into his ears. Through his blurry vision, Haruto saw a swirling ball of water slosh above him and he wanted to shout for joy. Thank god for Naomi. That ball of water practically exploded, forming waves of surging water and shoving the soldiers away from him. The invisible weight disappeared as the gravity bender was washed away by the flood. Haruto readily jumped to his feet, preparing himself for the next wave of soldiers. His heart sank slightly when he saw how many of them there were, they were everywhere and he was already getting overwhelmed.

"Calm down, you need to calm down," he told himself sternly while he pressed his palms together and sat on the dirt, breathing as calmly as he could, pretending that the pain and anger surrounding him didn't exist, that he was untouchable. And it was working.

Until a chilling laugh broke its way through his walls and his amber eyes snapped open, narrowing like daggers. He felt the air around him push him to his feet, and he turned to the dais where he saw a terrified Naomi look to him before looking across from her on the dais. Her fear was palpable and Haru could almost feel her wild emotions himself. She stammered, unable to form anything coherent, but she tried to gather the water she had used, preparing to fight back. Haruto saw the attack before she did and a punch sent her flying. Haruto's fiery anger ignited in his stomach and he bared his teeth.

"How dare you! Come here and I'll give you a fight!" he shouted, running up to launch himself onto the dais, but he felt the swarming soldiers grab his shoulders and yank him back, immobilizing him.
Haruto froze, noticing something that sent chills down his spine.
Why were they just standing there, letting him watch the scene unravel before him? Haruto watched angrily as The Supreme Faceless One made his way onto the scene. His trademark mask was unmistakable and the fury Haru was feeling made it hard to focus. All he could think about was how much pain and suffering this man in front of him had caused. The other part of him that wasn't angry was losing its mind because that terrorist was talking to Naomi. Haru could barely bite back a smile at Naomi's fiery response. Typical Naomi.

Then he started talking about his best friend's mother. Haruto couldn't stand to hear what was going on and he felt sick just watching that absolute creep touch Naomi. Why did the Supreme Faceless One talk to Naomi as if he had known her for years? It didn't make any sense. His gaze shifted from the two on the dais to another peculiar looking pair, one was a golden-haired, golden-eyed boy who reminded Haruto of a fierce lion. Or maybe like, a kitten, he wasn't really sure, but he noted the familiarity in Naomi's eyes when she caught sight of the boy.

"How do they know each other, huh? Why didn't Naomi tell me about him? She tells me everything, doesn't she?" An irrational part of Haruto's mind complained with a touch of that green monster called jealousy. Haruto quickly shoved that train of thought aside, how could he even think about this while he could literally be minutes from death? Luckily for Haru and Naomi, this guy was friendly and he began to fight the Supreme Faceless One with what was either extreme bravery or extreme stupidity, possibly both. His eyes traveled back to his companion and they seemed to be thinking about the same thing. This was falling apart faster than and Airbender building a house of cards. That sick creep reached forward to touch Naomi again. He saw her whisper something to him, something Haru couldn't hear from where he was standing. Once Naomi finished hissing something rather savagely to the man, she jumped into action, just as Haruto had anticipated. As soon as she began to fight again, Haruto splayed his fingers and narrowed his eyes. Huge gusts of air began to whip around him and the soldiers holding him back, the air tore at his loose clothes and yanked at his hair. The soldiers were blown away from Haruto and he leaped into the air, as graceful as ever. Haruto's feet landed lightly on the dirt and he watched the swarms of soldiers collect themselves, ready to come back for more.

"Oh," Haruto thought to himself, a dark chuckle under his breath, "I can give them more." The man quickly lowered himself into a fighting stance and darted towards his attackers, the wind pushing against his back and roaring in his ears. He sent man after man flying through the air and crashing down, but it was getting harder and harder to get over how tired he was getting. He couldn't ignore it much longer this became worse when two soldiers simultaneously slammed their fists into his stomach. Haruto dropped like a stone to the dirt and he could feel what seemed like thousands of hands grab down at him, pinning him to the dirt.

Tonrar was rather impressed by his daughter's attack. He was quite amused when the ice started to creep up his body, and encase him. He gave no reaction other than a slight giggle. When Naomi left the dias to regroup with the blessed airbender he broke free of his entrapment with little effort. He doubled over, and began laughing uncontrolably. He shot up with his arms held out wide, and laughed even louder. He watched as his gravity bending general stopped Naomi in her tracks, trying to get her to surrender peacefully. Adorable, absolutely adorable. He watched the chaos unfold, growing even more giddy.

Seok was barely holding it together, geting wounds left, and right from his eshaustion. He saw the general stop Naomi in her tracks, and he grew angry. He began pulling up rock slabs from the ground, launching various soldiers high in the air. He jumped forward a bit, and stabbed his hand into the ground, causing a line of twisted rock columns to propel forward, and divide Naomi from the general. Seok stood up, and sighed, sweat began to roll off his forehead. "You sure know how to welcome a guy back in town Naomi." He huffed at her.

Seok's blessed mark could clearly be seen at this point. He swiped his arms towards the general, sending one of the columns straight at his chest. "I hope you had a plan on getting out of here! Me, and my.....friend need to leave." He said pointing towards Hyo. "We need to get her out of here. I'll explain later, but she can't stay, none of us can." He ordered at her. Tonrar stepped off the stage, and strolled over towards them. Seok saw this, and sighed. "I...I can whip us up some cover, if you can lead us out of here. I don't have the energy for a third round."

"Leaving so soon? And without a kiss goodbye? I'm hurt." Tonrar smirked as he skipped through the battlefield without a care in the world. Seok glared daggers at the Supreme Faceless One. "Right, because everything that's happen here in the last twenty minutes have shown that we care if you're hurt or not." He smirked with a slight laugh. Seok stood ready in his fighting position. Though he was running on empty, he'd still go at him with all he had left, no matter how little that was. "Please boy. Like you could beat me even on your best day. Besides I don't want to kill you, that'd be too boring."

Seok rolled his eyes, and stomped on the ground, bringing up another slab of rock. He fired it at him, but this time his attack was rather weak, and sluggish. It showed his exhaustion. It was easily dodged by Tonrar. Seok almost fell over from making the motions of his attack. "Wow, I really felt that one." Tonrar smirked, followed by his renewed laughter. "I'm open to ideas. Seriously, I'm up for anything." Seok huffed. "You could just stop fighting, and enjoy your eventual never ending torture." Tonrar suggested. "No one's talking to you!"

Qannik stood in the palace next to Eris as they were taken to the throne room, and before the Fire Lord. Pfft, Fire Lord, he was merely a puppet. Qannik gave the Fire Lord a slight bow when Eris did, but it was more for formality rather then actual respect. "Yeah, sure, we're ohhhh so grateful." He said rather disinterested in everything. He rolled his eyes as Eris spoke. "You are such a kiss ass. I hope you know that." He whispered in her ear. "Sure, let's take a tour. It's not like some of us have something better to do." He stated, followed by a quick glance at Eris, obviously directing his comment towards her.

He noticed the looks Nani was giving one of his servents, and looked at them with a slightly raised eyebrow. As the Prince began their tour, Qannik flashed a wolfish grin to the servent Nani was making strange looks at, and followed it with a wink. He followed behind the Prince as he led them to the garden. He looked around rather disinterested in everything the Prince was saying, and showing them. He couldn't careless about all this.

When the Prince asked if they'd like to go anywhere else his wolfish grin returned on his face in full force. "What about that cute water tribe servent from the throne room? What's she up to? I do like a little tail from the poles." He said with a rather proud grin on his face. "I'm assuming she's water tribe, I have an eye for my own." He then folded his arms, and continued to grin. "But I'm guessing the brown-noser here as somewhere else she'd rather see so she can fakely complament it to try, and make herself look better."

Naomi heard Haru shouting about her getting hit and though she was relieved to hear him, she was slightly miffed that he thought she couldn't take a punch. Yes she went down and was weak and probably couldn't take a punch, and yes she was probably just overreacting, but regardless, it didn't matter. They were her thoughts anyway.

Naomi wasn't sure what to expect from her father when she froze him, but she sure didn't expect to be lifted off the dais by the sudden lack of gravity holding her down. Naomi wavered in the air as her gravity was gone and she found that her breathing became ragged as her nerves got the better of her. This was going worse than she thought.

"Put me down Retsihn, you don't know what he wants with me. You're as crazy as he is if you think what you're doing is the right thing," Naomi managed as she struggled, looking at Retsihn pleadingly. He seemed to be the most reasonable of generals, he was at least somewhat honorable.

Naomi heard her father break free and a giggle that sent a shiver through her. She was basically a toy at this point, not being able to move. She tried to waterbend, tried to bring herself out of the place of no gravity, but found that the water wasn't obeying her with the awkwardness.

Naomi saw Seok slowly taking more and more punches causing Naomi to worry for the apparent earthbender. Her main concern was really Haru though, she was truly worried for him. When Seok managed to push Naomi from the gravity area Retsihn was controlling, she rolled.

Coming up, she directed a water whip at the general before pulling what little water she had from the remaining ice shards and puddles to hold around her defensively, looking at all those surrounding their pathetically small group of rebels that was still disconnected from Haru.

"You know Seok, you're crazy for coming here. This was supposed to be a routine rescue, it was a trap. All of it," Naomi admitted as she found that the water was merely a bluff before her, believing she had little chances of actually holding off any real attack.

"And please tell me she's not another blessed one. Or worse, the one," Naomi whispered fiercely to him. If this girl was the avatar, they were all either doomed, or saved. Either was an extreme, one was more likely the other and it wasn't the one Naomi was hoping for.

"Neither do I. Seok, we can't leave Haru," Naomi explained to him as he asked for the escape route. Naomi looked to see her father approaching before the water she held fell as one guard called her bluff. "Seok, stop it, he's only baiting you," Naomi declared as her father succeeded in causing Seok to use even more of his nonexistent energy.

Naomi looked to the girl that was with Seok. "I don't know who you are, but you're with Seok so I'll trust you. Grab him and keep him from doing something stupid like I'm about to do," Naomi stated simply before pushing Seok towards the girl and going towards her father. "Seok, to be honest, we're praying for a miracle now," Naomi muttered to him as she took a breath and stood facing him in the way she had been taught when learning how to fight.

"Leave them out of this. They're not part of the resistance and he," Naomi points in the direction of Haru who was now being held by more guards than was probably necessary, "I'm not going with you willingly any time soon, so make me."

Naomi was bluffing. Haru would see that immediately since he knew her so well, but the soldiers looked surprised and a little nervous, as if Naomi knew something they didn't. That's what she was hoping they would believe. In all reality, she was spent, tired, hurt, worried to death about Haru, and wanting to go hide.

She managed to gather what remaining energy she had to at least pretend like she had much more energy by sending a fast attack towards her father of only a simply ball of water before trying for a water whip. She moved quickly, hoping he would take the bate as Seok had. She thought back to what she had heard he hated and often got his servants killed or imprisoned.

He didn't like benders, but she was one and he didn't seem too worried about it at the moment. He wasn't one for disobeying nor the word crazy...

"You're crazy to think I'd ever listen to you much less obey you," Naomi stated simply as she sent an attack that was slighty weaker but still a surprise to her since she was so tired. So long as she had his and the soldiers attention on such a fight that was mostly one sided, Haru should break free and they could all run... If things went well... But when had that ever happened?

Naomi didn't like being as close as she was to her father, especially since he was so much stronger than her and wasn't exhausted. Naomi turned, trying for a back kick towards his face as she dropped the attempts of bending since it seemed to be draining her more than the actual physical movement. She had done this rescue thing before, but never a full out fight with many soldiers... And the supreme leader of the soldiers...

Naomi seemed to begin hyperventilating. Was she scared of height or something? "Put me down Retsihn, you don't know what he wants with me. You're as crazy as he is if you think what you're doing is the right thing," The Faceless One's daughter pleaded. "I'm sorry your elegance...that's not my decision to make. Please make this easier for both of us and comply." He really did feel sorry for her, being caught up in the middle of this. A girl in a warzone, so unfortunate. "I don't think of myself as a hero, I just keep the peace." Just then, a maniacal laugh broke rang into the air. This didn't phase Retsihn in the slightest, just like how the ground erupting between himself and Naomi didn't either. What did surprise him was the absence of Naomi after the dust settled. Retsihn was a bit disappointed at his lieutenant's inability to stay concentrated through the earthbender's display, but he wouldn't address that now. As of the moment, he had more important things to worry about. More specifically, a slab of earth heading right towards him.

Shifting his personal gravity to the right, Retsihn "fell" fast enough to dodge the attack. Ducking not long after, Naomi's water whip whistled overhead. Taking in the first attacker, the General noticed how drained the earthbender now was, and how easily the it would be to arrest him at this point. Scanning the rest of the area, he eventually found Naomi. He wasn't really sure what the Faceless One's daughter was up to, but it looked like she was trying to get everyone's attention...and it was working. Many soldiers were just sort of watching. Not good. At least his own men were disciplined enough to focus on the task at hand. Just a show of the rigorous amount of mental and physical training he bestowed upon them. Retsihn caught a glimpse of his Commander, other officers, and guard holding down the airbender without much trouble. So, what would be the task at hand? What looked to be the most reasonable course of action at this point was to go ahead and arrest the earthbender personally while his Lieutenant and two unoccupied guard members took care of the girl next to the blonde bender.

"Voccir!" the officer instantly ran to the general's side. "I want you to take my two guard members and make sure the earthbender's companion stays under control, I'll take the boy myself. Remember, we want to try to keep them alive for their trials." Lieutenant Voccir nodded. "Of course sir." The young officer and two guard members drew their swords. "After all, I wouldn't want to dirty my new dress sword." With that, the trio went off to confront their designated targets as Retsihn made his way towards Seok. "Attempted murder of a military official? Just another charge on top of your already overflowing list" Retsihn armed an extreme negative gravity ring around his person (so that a projectile or object directed at him would be flung almost instantly into the air) as he grew closer to his target. "I'm sure you know you're under arrest, and I suppose asking for compliance would be a waste of words..."

The General drew his dress sword. Though it was mainly for show, the reinforced steel blade was sharp enough to shave with. Retsihn switched his old sword for a more combat oriented one after the surprising number of foiling attempts aimed at formal events such as this execution. Holding the flashy blade in his signature single handed grip, Retsihn stopped a couple yards short of the earthbender. He scanned his enemy's eyes, while bracing to shift his gravity orientation to a diagonal direction for a lightning fast dash forward. The gravity bender wasn't aiming to kill, he would use the blunt end or flat of the sword to disable the earthbender. In unison, his legs pushed forward while the diagonal gravity orientation pushed Retsihn towards his adversary. The reverse gravity ring around him would decimate a moment before contact, and the abnormal gravity orientation shifted to slightly less than default to ensure a speed advantage.

When Naomi pushed him towards Hyo, he groaned slightly. "What are talking about? I'm....fine. Ready for the next round..." He sighed as he tried to hold up his arms in a fighting position. "I can....take on these.....these fools with my....my eyes closed." He sighed, nearly out of breath. In reality he probably couldn't open a jar with how exhausted he is. "Hyo....I'm sorry. Not exactly the night on the town we expected huh?" He said with a slight chuckle. He slightly cringed at his side, it hurt to laugh. He looked over, and glared at the gravitybender. This general. He regained his fighting stance.

Tonrar glared at Naomi, with his laughter continuing. "Oh Naomi, you'll come with me my Dear. Don't fight it, just accept it." He stated as he narrowed his eyes towards her. "And as for your friends....sorry Dear, it's out of my hands. The two boys are blessed benders. I can't allow them to leave." He stated as he pointed to Haru, and Seok. "Think about it, you'd be a god among peasents!" He stated. He couldn't understand why she wouldn't want to be with him. He could give her everything she'd ever want with but a snap of his fingers.

"What can I say. I'm a bad, bad man." Seok smirked as he returned to his stance. He sent up another slab, and fired it towards the general as he came towards them. The slab of rock was flung up towards the sky by the man's gravity ring. "Sorry, I'm not one for giving in to the bad guys." He smirked at him asking for him to surrender. When he began rushing towards Seok at incredible speed, Seok slammed his foot into the ground, and created a wall between them. Seok then dove into the ground, burrowing deep into it.

Tonrar merely dodged Naomi's attacks rather well, looking as if he was dancing. "Aren't you tired of fighting me?" He asked with a slightly tilted head. "How would you know you wouldn't even like being with your father Dear if you haven't tried it?" He asked. When she began attacking him in hand-to-hand he merely laughed as he blocked her attacks effortlessly. One attack forced him to make a 360 turn, in which he added a surprise back handed strike against Naomi when he turned back to face her. "I suppose I'll have to give you tough love then?"

Seok surfaced from the ground behind Retsihn, and leaped up behind him. He grabbed him into a bear hug, squeezing him as hard as he could. Seok sunk his feet into the ground slightly, hoping that would prevent him from being thrown around by the general's gravity bending abilities. "Hyo! Go! I'll hold him off as long as I can!" He ordered. His number one duty was to keep Hyo safe, and he'll do that even if it kills him. Which at this point was pretty likely given his current state.

Naomi could not do anything more upon getting hit except fall to the ground. She groaned softly as she lay there for a moment before hearing the most terrifying thing ever. A scream. From the girl who was with Seok. Naomi watched from where she was as the general Tobimasu, apparently alright, pulled his sword from the girl's stomach.

Naomi froze as she watched the girl's body fall and knew immediately things had gone from bad to worse. She watched as the girl's blood spread out before something unexpected did happen. A slightly blue aura like thing flew from the girl's body, circling overhead the crowd before diving towards Naomi. She wasn't sure what it was and wanted to roll away, but refrained from doing so for fear of getting trampled or hit again.

Naomi did cover her face with her arms as the aura flew straight into her giving Naomi a warm feeling flowing through her. Strength washed through Naomi and she felt something she had never felt before. A whisper in her ear told her what to do and she obeyed, unsure what else to do. Her body rose and she knew it was because of air bending. Her own air bending.

Naomi looked down at her father, but it wasn't just her eyes she felt. It felt as if hundreds of eyes were looking with her. Naomi raised her hands and she bended. A wave of wind blew every soldier by her father away, scattering them onto the nearby rooftops and the alleys. She turned to where Haru was surrounded and in a moment, every soldier around Haru was gone, scattered again.

Naomi then turned to Seok, bending the general from his hands and sending the gravity bending general into her father. Naomi reached with her air bending, grabbing those who had fought with her that day and speeding them all off away from her father and the gravity bending general. When they were a few hundred feet from the inner wall, she gently set down those with her before falling to the ground, passed out from exhaustion. As she went unconscious though, she heard a whisper in her ear, saying I give my abilities to you so that you might do what I could not.

A few minutes pass before the fire bender from the resistance emerged from a home and gestured frantically to Haru. "Come on, get off the street," the bender gestures frantically. He sees the body and stills his frantic gesturing before gaining a steely resolve and looking to Seok, knowing he was the one with Hyo. "I can carry her if you'd rather," He states softly. He waits for a response, doing as asked or told, then goes inside to lead the group underground to safety.

Nani lost his temper. He knew he did as soon as he snapped. He would have hit Qannik had it not been for Uruki who grabbed Nani at the last second. Uruki was stronger for whatever reason and pushed Nani back. Nani didn't look at him as he pushed back until he heard Uruki's words, "Prince Nani if you don't stop they'll only hurt her."

Nani heard that and his movements froze. He looked to Uruki who let him go slowly. "Thank you, you are free to go," Nani stated, his calm returning. He made sure to give Uruki a pointed look so his friend would know to get out of there quickly before he drew attention to himself.

Uruki left with a bow to the generals leaving Nani there looking down. He knew he had given them what they wanted. He had done exactly that. At least he hadn't screamed bloody murder. Avaria would be disappointed in him probably. He only drew more attention to her from his reaction.

He looked up, crossing his arms again before giving the generals a blank look. "I'm done," Is all he says as he looks at the two giving a clear indication he was not wanting to do the tour anymore. He looked past the generals to the path that led away from the gardens. He had stupidly put himself in a corner that's only other exit led to the servants quarters and as much as Nani wouldn't mind going there, he refused to show the two generals where it was should they decide they're bored or something.

"Step aside," He orders simply, giving no sway in his voice and keeping an air of confidence and authority.
